“I came here for dinner with a craving for Filipino food and I was not disappointed. Max's fried chicken is just wonderful if you like well-seasoned fried chicken with skin that is crispy, but not heavily battered then you are in luck. The lechon sisig was very tasty and with some lemon on top and with some garlic rice, it is a flavor bomb in your mouth. The mango or calamansi juice is a great drink to wash down all of the heavier dishes too. The pinakbet definitely used some shrimp paste to give it a richer flavor. They do put bitter melon in the pinakbet so be aware of that. Service was friendly, no rush and I was seated quickly. The food also came out pretty quickly and was appropriately hot. If I'm in the area or a Max's is nearby I would come back.“
“Best Authentic Filipino soul food in the area. You shouldn't be expecting Michelin star service here. It's more of a hole in the wall type of ambiance. Favorites included Tocino, Calamari, Caldareta, Garlic Fried rice, and Fried chicken. They don't miss!“
