“Passing by on a hungry Sunday and hung a u-turn when we saw pics online. We ordered the #2 and the #4 - keep it simple:#2 rotisserie chicken - simple and delicious. And the #4 bomb crispy porkCertainly stop, hang your turn and come back - yes. We are glad that we did. The portions are enormous and all the flavor is sensational. We are definitely coming back when we have that begging question "what should we eat tonight?" :)“
“Green Banana Leaf is inside a plaza, can be chaotic to find parking on weekend lunch hours as it is near other popular food/ drink places such as bopomofo and 86 cafe.We ordered arroz caldo ( Filipino chicken ginger congee ), it is pretty good! I like the gingerly taste and warmness. We also ordered the pancit ( stirred fried rice noodle with pork ), the portion is large and we take the rest home after. The combination with the rice noodle, cabbage, pork , green onion and shrimp is pretty tasty. Although the shrimp is a little bit smaller.Service is pretty good, the lady is friendly, ask to refill our water, saw our table is a little bit dirty and offer to wipe it down for us.Inside they have a karaoke stage, and projector of music videos, music is lively. We went during lunch and haven’t seen people on stage but the music is soothing to hear. Inside the restaurant is mostly decorated green and red theme- like Christmas lol.Would recommend this place!Parking: Parking on weekend lunch hour is a little bit chaotic since there are other popular restaurants around“
“We were craving Filipino food and found this place near us! So glad we ate here. It was delicious. We ordered the Family Platter with a side of rice. It was so delicious, especially the grilled squid! And for dessert, we shared a halo halo, also tasty. They also had great customer service.“
“Went here on a Friday morning because I was craving Asian food after primarily eating American food for the past 4 days on a cruise ship. There were already a ton of options to choose from despite arriving there at 9:45 am. Two item combo. Grilled pork, Jeprox (salted, dried smelt fish) with garlic rice ( $13.99): the pork was tender and juicy with a decent amount of fat. The jeprox was crispy with the typical salty flavor, but it was even better when vinegar was added. The garlic fried rice was fluffy with mild garlic flavor. Overall, it was an 8/10 rating. The ambiance is relaxed, as it is on the right side within the grocery store with plenty of tables to dine in, and about half of the patrons take their food to go. The service was fast and attentive. I'd return here after my next cruise.“
“Omg their chicken empanadas are unmatched! I get a dozen whenever I'm around. I also recently tried their ube empanadas and they were also really good! I enjoy buying some pan de sal when I'm here as well. I like the ube pan de sal and the regular. Their polverones are okay.“
“First Filipino place I've been to that is actually a nice restaurant and not just a little mom-n-pop shop with a couple tables and a bunch of different dishes sitting under over a warmer or under a heat lamp. The food was great ? We started with lumpia, of course! Then I had the Bulalo. Ot was perfect! Definitely coming back to try some more! They have live music ? too. And they said they'd be opening up their newly remodeled bar ? area next week. Gotta check that out!“
“The restaurant at first glance was nice. The service was super slow. Once they seated us they handed us menus but no explanations and dashed off. We couldn't figure out who our actual server was because we had different people approach our table. When we finally got our food order the portions were small disappointing - none of them came with rice! We had to order rice a la cart! Another eating delay..... I can say the food was good and presented nicely, but the process don't match the experience.“
“We went today for their Grand Opening. The restaurant is clean. The Owner (Carmela), the one who got our order(Bianca), and all the staff are friendly. We got Baked bangus, Beef ribs, Tuna Belly, and Liempo. All tastes delicious. Bibingkinitan is very good, its still moist even when you reheat it on the microwave. Don't forget to get WOWTAHO! Tastes exactly like philippines. The Best Taho in SOCAL.“
