After an amazing meal Bruce and Rene treated us to the most exquisite desserts that were truely to die for. This was the dining highlight of our US trip from Scotland and the best genuine hospitality we've experienced. Well done to all involved, wish you weren't 5000 miles away from where we live. Ok here's the deal. I get PERFECT meatballs each and every time.
ALMOST.
Sometimes the meatballs taste OFF. Once in 20 times.
I just tastes like they ground other parts into the meat stock which shouldn't be there. Like entrails or something.
And there no warning us patrons.
As if I couldn't tell.

Since I get 19 out of 20 perfect ground meatballs, its hard to complain. But I wanted to get that out there. I mean, WHO LIKES SURPRISES? You know?“

“We came in for lunch just because I was tired of fast food. Christopher was our waiter and he was awesome! He was on it with the drinks which was helpful as we came in from the heat. Christopher was attentive and patient with us. I went with his recommendations and it was delicious from the food to the drink I chose. Recommend this place and if you get Christopher you’ll have a great experience. Highly recommend A++“

“This place is an institution and it is very good but not going to be your typical sub shop you likely are expecting. They are CASH ONLY, and all their subs coming with the same ingredients, no lettuce. The pickles, onions, and tomatoes are not slices, they are chopped up and literally scooped up and place on the sub. It is delicious and they are very large portions, just not typical, know before you go! Try something different, you may like it!“

“Found this location on Google along with several other pizza places, being here on vacation decided to try this location out... after seeing positive reviews, I'm so glad we did, pizza was amazing, crunchy crust the way it should be. I was a bit confused when I walked in, but girl in registered was the best explaining everything in detail..

“Fantastic, fantastic New York-style pizza in a batting cage in Burbank!!! OMG. Hey, you can’t get this on Door Dash. Phone it in, Phiolks! We arrived 10 minutes after our pick up-up time (flying in from Seattle and the Bay Area), and the chef put the pizzas back into the pizza oven to make sure they were piping hot. Delicious! Highest recommendation!“

“First time here yesterday and happy to keep coming back, had the hot pastrami sub and it was seriously good loved the mayo mustard combo with chopped tomato onion and pickles combined and layered generously over the whole sub Also had the Tonys special sub .. lots of fresh and tasty deli meats mortadella hams salamis and again the in-house mustard mayo combo .. awesome sandwich For a side I had the bow tie pasta which was cooked al dente with plenty of the marinated artichoke hearts and a great authentic Italian feel and flavour As this had now developed into leftovers for dinner given the size of it all I took us home a tiramisu for dessert later, and as with everything else well worth the eating Opened in 1979 and still going strong .. it’s easy to see why“
