“I have lived in Camarillo for 5 years and have relatives and been coming back and forth Camarillo for years, I'm not sure how I missed This spot, but when I found it it's been my constant go to. I constantly meet my friends there. Coffee is good Affogato or however it's spelled is very good! Cookies are also another favorite. I'm not much of a sweet tooth type of person, but 85% of the time I end up getting a cookie. Staff is nice and friendly, great place to bring my wife and daughter to play board games or card games.“
“Love this place! The wines are always excellent and the servers are knowledgeable and helpful. My favorite is the create your own charcuterie, where you get to choose your own cheeses and meats. I've never seen that anywhere before and it makes for such a fun and unique experience. Everything here is delicious.“
“Tamarind Thai impressed me with its ability to customize traditional dishes, catering perfectly to specific dietary preferences.I ordered red curry, prepared without fish sauce, and retained its rich and aromatic essence, proving that authenticity can be maintained even with ingredient modifications. The basil fried rice, ordered without egg, was a flavorful companion to the curry, bursting with the fragrant essence of basil that elevated the dish. Overall, Tamarind Thai delivers a delightful culinary experience, showcasing their skill in crafting dishes that are both delicious and accommodating.“
“Andrew was superb in assisting us with our bowl. Not only was he patient, he was very attentive to any questions we had. This location is clean, simple but inviting. We ordered a large Acai base 3/4 filled and topped to our hearts desire. While I don't usually opt for chocolate, my brother wanted to try it so we ended up with a surprisingly good mix of fruits and sweets. Definitely won him over as he wants to return again lol! They have a number of bases to choose from and while it's so hard to pick, Acai is my go to. Can't wait to return and try different types of variety.“
“Great place for appetizers, happy hour, ambience, and good music. We saw Smokey and Friends play, they were so good I don't think I'd ever wanna come back unless they were playing. The service was a bit slow. And we had to keep flagging down our waitress. If you are looking for a big meal, don't. All the plates are pretty small. Other than their salad, they look large and amazing.“
“Always enjoyable Adolfo Grill!! We love the atmosphere and the food. The bar area is fun and lively. The dining area can be intimate or family fun. This evening, my boyfriend ordered the daily special Porterhouse, seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also had the popular fish and chips, grilled lemon chicken and the small plate of salmon skewers, which was actually a perfect dinner size. The service is always wonderful. It's a favorite spot for special occasions or dinner with friends.“
“Great place. Good beer, great service. Topa Topa is where the employees from other local breweries go when they aren't working. I know because they are very open about it, from what I experienced. My opinion says Topa Topa is better. I wonder why? That says a lot!Freda's pizza is great. Bill has quite an impressive operation. Customer service is always their number one priority.I once had a complaint bc they made the wrong pizza, due to my party's miscommunication, and difficult pizza. Sorry! The owner walks out and says he accepts the blame, and personally made the right one. And asked us to also keep the other one, which I actually liked. It was the people we were with who had the specific order. They didn't say we, the customers, were in the wrong. The opposite happens at another large brewery in town. That really turned me off. Taking sides with the staff over the paying customers will never keep a customer-reliant business open...in the long run. Bad reputations get around and cannot be changed once the 'cement' is poured and dried in the public's opinion.Topa Topa has a great patio with live music often. The beers are fresh here and a great location. No wonder the other large brewery's staff flocks to Topa Topa. I'm my opinion, it's just because it's friendly and Topa Topa cares about the community and it's most valued customers.I just noticed also that Jack, owner/founder of Topa Topa, even replies to Yelp posts. He clearly doesn't take his customers for granted. Excellent.Oh one more thing, the other brewery told me it was inappropriate to be taking photos at the bar bc the staff felt uncomfortable. Topa Topa appreciates guests taking photos and sharing. Here are some! Thanks for letting me take these photos Topa Topa! They are just for the Untappd app.Cheers! Come on down to Topa Topa“
“It's like being at your favorite tia's house! You feel at home having conversations sharing a joke and laugh all whole having a delicious meal. They start off by bringing a basket of mini muffins with a variety of flavors freshly baked and rotating so it's a surprise each visit. The energy is very old school there's no feeling of judgement it really brings back an old school Americana vibe I haven't seen in this country for a long time. I ordered up the NY steak and eggs with grilled onions on top and it was a nice sized steak seasoned well to the point that you didn't need steak sauce a welcome steak compared to many others I've had who have to hide the blandness behind sauces. The hashbrowns crispy exterior and flush interior with some tapatio and ketchup was perfect to pair with the steak. A great start to any day and a welcome vibe of OG America“
“Quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel appreciated. Food has always been great.Vegetarian options: My wife and daughter are vegetarian. Staff is always willing to adjust any meal to accommodate.“
“This was my first visit and I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I can understand the name, "Hidden Cafe". Our car GPS was even off by one street; I think this was the fault of poor phone reception on my part. This little gem of a restaurant was well worth the visit. The food was fantastic, with many choices to try on future visits. I'm my opinion the food was priced just right, no prices seemed out of line. The servers were very attentive and the refills on drinks and extra napkins were quick to arrive at our table. There is inside seating and patio seating. Space heaters too for chilly days. It's easy off and on the 101 freeway at the Camarillo Springs exit. I ordered chili Verde omelet with flour tortillas and O'brian (sp?) potatoes. Fresh salsa on request. So tasty ?“
“We are new to Camarillo! We eat out a ton, so we are always looking for new places . We came here on a busy Sunday morning ( 2/25 at around 10:40 am) This cute downtown breakfast spot was really good! Food was really good, waitress so stupendous... there was a young man there that was really personable and was working his tail off!! Not sure if he was the manager or owner but his attention alone would make me come back to this restaurant. We had the Avocado toast ( exceptional ) and a yummy scramble! Food was hot and served promptly. I am deducting a star be the hostess was rude! Young gal, treated us like an inconvenience! To the owner or manger of this place.. your hostess is the first impression people get! She was rude and treated us like an inconvenience!! Everything else was stellar!“
“We go for the lunch special. It's delicious, good size portions and a friendly to the budget price. I get the one of their salads with a beer. I like their jalapeño beer, but the best is the Thai chili beer. Amazing beer with a touch of spicy. My husband always, and I do mean always, has the chipotle pizza. He always tries a new beer. The servings are perfect size for sharing. So our lunch is pizza, salad and beer for each. Perfect!“
“This restaurant is a gem. We rediscovered it after a long time away. The service is EXCELLENT! The ambiance is wonderful. You can tell the owner cares about his customers and his staff. The food is delicious! We had the meatball appetizer, various pasta dishes with oil and garlic or basil. Also the eggplant and policastro were yummy. Wine list is well thought out and reasonable. Got to try it! Make a reservation“
“Their deli is a hidden gem.A friend recently tried their jam packed classic Italian sub and it looked so good I had to try it myself.I never even knew this deli existed.Jim happily welcomed my family for the 1st time and was kind enough to let us sample some of their fresh homemade bread and a hot calabrese that I might like in my sub.Sandwich itself was both delicious & stuffed with a heaping portion of ingredients like peppers, provolone and more. (Best part is whatever you like they’ll find a recommendation fit for you in a sandwich)Definitely would be back ??“
“I absolutely adore this Filipino style coffee shop!! I come here very often, trying new items from the menu each time. I especially recommend the chicken adobo, and the house favorite Filipino donut is super yummy(everything is freshly made as well) I am always pleased with the service. Even when the shop is busy I never have to wait long to get my order. Just a tip, I recommend ordering in store rather than ordering online because the online menu is being updated. Super friendly and welcoming staff too, great way to start off the day with a good conversation :) It’s not very often you find such a unique place around this area, definitely adds more liveliness(+deliciousness)Always great to try something new.I hope this helps another coffee lover out there!!“
“We enjoyed the show they presented in the evening. We saw the Irish Tenor, Paul Byrom. He is great at putting together a fun set of songs, adding history about the song, and interjecting funny bits into his show. The winery has good food and there pizzas are worth the stop. We didn't try the beer or wine but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying their choices.“
“Tasting Flight: $20/tasting for 5 pours (and possibly an additional pour at the end). First visit and got to meet both Frank (Winemaker) & Jen (Hospitality), the gracious owners of Back Patio Cellars. Hidden within a business park, this boutique winery and cider house offers something for everyone. They have a cute tasting room, and of course a "back patio" area, but we preferred the comfy "living room" seating area inside the barrel room (I love a nice barrel room). One minor complaint is that they don't have a printed tasting list, or even a comprehensive list of their wines/prices. WINES: We were able to try a '21 Albarino, a '19 Viognier, a '20 Rosé of Granache, a '19 carbonic Cabernet Sauvignon, a '20 Syrah, and a '16 Cab Sauv. from Lodi. We loved the two whites, and the Syrah and Lodi Cab, taking home several bottles. My mother-in-law had a glass of their Cinnabon cider, which was quite nice. They had nine flavors of cider on tap the day of our visit. No food available, other than bags of chips, but feel free to bring your own munchies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and tasty wines/ciders! Overall, we had a nice experience getting to know Jen & Frank and trying their wines. IMO, Back Patio Cellars is definitely worth a visit.“
“We did have to wait about 25 minutes for a table for 4- but this was during happy hour on a Friday around 4pm. Thankfully we sat in time for happy hour with just a few minutes to spare. I believe her name was Arielle - the waitress. She attended us and was 100 percent pleasant to interact with. She was exceptionally nice and attentive shoutout to her! Food was great and so were the beers - even though it was a full house the rest of the servers brought us our drinks suprisingly quick- I’m talking literally about 3 minutes after we ordered! The food was served very fast too within about 15 minutes. Ambiance was very nice too. It was my first time there but we will definitely be going back.“
“My wife and I just tried Braxton's kitchen for the first time for a late breakfast and it was great. She had the french toast, which was wonderfully eggy and very light. I had the waffles, which were wonderful, with light powdered sugar and plenty of syrup on the side. 5 stars out of 5“
“I have been going to urbane cafe for about 2 years now, at least once a month if not more. Their salmon bowl is what really got me hooked but at the Camarillo Daily Dr location I had a frustrating experience with one of the staff not wanting to accommodate the salmon salad to my food allergy. Previous experiences I have had with a young man he has gladly changed the dish for me. This is the type of customer service I am used to from them. I am disappointed by my visit today to say the least, I still love Urbane and 99% of their staff. Please be kinder to people who have allergies, we still want to enjoy food just as much as other people.Dietary restrictions: won't accommodate for allergies“
“I've seen some music shows at Cantara. The golden ale that I've had is very tasty. I haven't tried any wine or pizza. The chicken drumettes and wings are tasty but not plentiful. The tri-tip tater tots are decent. The service is friendly.“
“The girl that was there this morning 3/8 please keep her. She made my drink correctly. My Blue Raspberry spirulina actually taste like blue raspberry is in it. I kept wondering why it was called blue raspberry and it didn't taste like it.“
“The food here was such a pleasant surprise! Everything smelled and tasted so clean and fresh. We had the Falafel plate and the chicken shewarma plate and love it down to the lemon in the salad dressing! The hummus was tasty and the pitas were warm. Highly recommended.“
“We've been to Blvd Brgr several times and have never been disappointed! I ordered the Blvd burger and my husband got El Fuego. They were both delicious! If you are a french fry person, the Blvd fries are for you! The feta and mint combination with the garlic aioli is to die for! And the onions rings were cooked to perfection. The kids also enjoyed their burgers and loved playing the arcade games. There's plenty of seating for families and the service is very friendly.“
“We love going to basil and mint. The food is great and the service is also good. The Pho is incredible and delicious. Healthy servings and happy smiles. We love happy hour and getting great food deals. We love our server the bartender she's sweet. Two thumbs up from this food consumer, enjoy!Combination Pho“
“Absolutely love this place for Cali Mexican food! They have tasty food and a variety of options for all. If you have dietary restrictions they are kind to accommodate you! You receive your food in a timely manner and everything tastes fresh. It can get a little rowdy when it's crowded but all customers are happy!“
“My salad was perfect with a little crunch to sweetness! I paired it with a sweet cocktail and I didn't write down the name of them. Thank you to JR and Rebecca who made my visit a memorable one. I sat close to the window so I could enjoy the natural light outside. With the help of my waitress, she made a perfect pick! Looking forward to bringing my husband so he can enjoy the experience as I did.“
“Awesome service, great beers on tap, they remember us even if we haven't been there in months. We used their side room for a birthday party and it was great. Their outdoor patio is unique and fun.Vegetarian options: PlentyParking: Parking lot just west of restaurant always has spots.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu with crayons. Have all the typical kid options. Colorful and spacious inside so loud kids won't bother people.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“We came here for the first time because of the Sweet Deals beer booklet. We would have never stumbled upon it because it's in an industrial area that we don't ever drive near. The menu has beer, wine, appetizers, and pizza. Our beer booklet covered one beer each and an appetizer. We decided to have the blonde beer, the hazy hefenweizen, fried caulifower, and the artisan bread. The blonde beer and hazy hefenweizen were both great. The fried cauliflower was mediocre. It seemed a little undercooked and could have been more crispy. We also would have liked more sauce on it. The artisan bread had fresh, fluffy pizza dough which we really liked. This one was suppsoed to be truffle flavored and we did not taste any truffle. There was mushrooms and balsamic glaze on it and the flavor was overall bland. If I come back, I would be open to trying the pizza, but would not get the items that we had.The inside of Flat Fish is really big. The cellar area is big enough to have a large party or group. They have a stage in the cellar area where they have events with live music. The owner who helped us was friendly and nice. Flat Fish has a laid back vibe. We loved the beer and would return to grab one of their beers.“
“I work in the service industry, and I know what it means to do a good job also to be the kind of person that it takes to handle it but, I will say is that Kristie really impressed me with the way she was able to provide such quick and great service to my friends and I. I would definitely recommend Take 5 to anyone I know and their pool tables are also a plus. Thanks so much! Will be coming back soon!“
“Don’t judge a book by its over. Once you walk through the doors you are transported to another place. This restaurant is beautiful and a peaceful place to enjoy a tasty meal. The menu features both Thai and Peruvian food. We ordered Peruvian dishes that were incredible. The meat was very tenderized and flavored in a way that will having you craving it for days after your visit! Amazing service and a must try if you’re in the area looking for something new.“
“The people that work here are so nice, no matter how busy it is. I never feel rushed, and they are helpful too if you want to try something new! Again, so nice. And the new drink suggestions I've tried have been BOMB ?I didn't rate the food because I haven't tried it yet.“
“Food was delicious, guacamole was to die for, atmosphere was hip and the alcohol-bottle chandeliers were so cool! It wasn’t busy at 7:00pm Friday night, but the DJ was arriving at 9:00pm and we didn’t stay for the fun. We will definitely return to this cool find in old Camarillo!“
“They have really good tacos here! I love coming in Tuesdays for Taco Tuesday and I get three Parmesan hard shell tacos with chicken and they’re so good every time. And the wontons! They have cream cheese wontons with shrimp or jalapeno inside- which are like $.75. Ents each in happy hour. The service is always friendly and helpful, another one of my go to places for when I want something delicious but don’t want to cook“
“We recently discovered the amazing Waypoint Cafe and had to share! From the warm welcome to the incredible food, this hidden gem has it all. The cafe can get busy, so arrive early (they close at 3 pm). Their carne asada omelette, tri-tip sandwich, and must-try lemon pancakes are simply delicious. Don't forget to try their refreshing mimosas too! We can't wait to go back for more unforgettable moments.“
