Homeroom Comfort Food •
1640 S Bascom Ave A, Campbell

“Pretty great food. Tasted really fresh these rolls. extremely well seasoned, even the seaweed wrap was delicious. Those loaded fries I almost ordered without the cheese because I thought maybe it would be overwhelming but it was actually perfect. The combination of spices and flavors were great. The ambiance is very cute, lively and open! The service is decent, you can order yourself! Took about 15 minutes on a Tuesday at 4 pm. Super polite service and kindly thanked us as we left. Caution: this is not the most price friendly place to eat! Each sushirrito was ~$15 and the fries were $8. Plus an Olipop and a tip, this came up to $50+ for two people.“

“What a super cute and quaint place to indulge in good food and good wine! We met the owner, Michele, when he was originally at Tasting House down the street. When you talk to him, his passion for wine totally shines through. We first came a few weeks after the establishment opened, but recently came back to have a full dinner, which I didn’t even know they served until I looked online. OMG, everything was good. And Michele’s recommendations are always so good.I have a feeling when the weather shapes up and it’s warm out, this place is going to be booked solid. It’s a small place but offers a few tables outdoors, weather permitting.Love love love this place and will definitely be back again!Note, there’s lots of parking around the area (on the street and random lots). Also, the photo of the meatballs, there were actually 8-10 but I took photos after we ate more than half.“

Chicken Paddy Asian Fusion • $
23 North Market Street, San Jose - 4.6 miles

“Have to update my review. Its still big fire. I've had this place twice. My first time was through Uber Eats. We got the Mushroom chicken plate. Let's talk about portions. Because Chicken Paddy came all the way through for portions. The chicken was phenomenal. It comes over a bed of rice? I believe. It's small rice. Side of spinach and cherry tomatoes. And a side of their delicious sweet corn. Something about the texture of the sweet corn that I really enjoy. Combining the chicken, rice, and some corn. It's the perfect bite. So it definitely passed the take out test. The second time I got it, I wanted to go in and eat there. Chicken Paddy is located in Fuze Bar. When you walk in it's a little dark but who cares the food is great so location for me is a non factor. But it's not like a big group dining kind of vibe. It's like if you and two friends wanted to grab a bite there's little tables and chairs. You'll receive your meal in a plastic takeout container. So no regular plates and silverware. Which again, I don't mind because I'm there solely for the food. Eating there was amazing. Food was piping hot. Delicious & ready to go into my belly. It's comfort food. I got the same dish again. I told myself I was going to try a different dish but the mushroom chicken was too good to pass up on. Maybe third times a charm and I'll try something different....unless the mushroom chicken has plans to over throw that plan. Because...it's just that good.“

“Location: Located at the far end of downtown Los Gatos, this coffee shop is very easy to miss if you drive or even walk by. Free parking is available on the street and around the block. The storefront is nestled and hidden well by adjacent buildings so as you get closer, do look out for the signs. They have a great selection of coffee and snacks. I ordered the rose infused latte and was pleasantly surprised by the nice aroma of rose and the subtle yet appealing rose flavor. The drink was made well and absolutely recommend you try this if it's listed on the menu. They do have adequate space inside the store but also outside. The day was warm and pleasantly inviting to sit outside and tried it. You do have to put up with the noise from heavy vehicles passing through.“

“Fabulous broth in these dishes! Delightful, we stopped after seeing the evening cherry blossoms at Hakone Garden; perfect cap to the evening. ???Dietary restrictions: I eat GF and had always thought of ramen places as being about the wheat noodles? No, no: it's all about the rich broths, and you can find rice plates or order with no noodles. I went for an appetizer seafood soup with a side of rice and side of kim chi and that made a perfect meal.“

“Tried the crème brulee toast, and it was really good with a smooth and tasty layer of custard on top. The strawberry fever toast reminded me of a fancy strawberry shortcake, though the toast was a bit tough and thick, had to use a knife to make it easier to eat. Swapped the standard ice cream flavor for chocolate since I saw it as an option on the self order kiosk, and it was awesome. The popcorn chicken was yummy. The "mild spicy" was spicier than I expected (it's unclear whether "little spicy" is more or less spicy than the mild). The fruitiness in the strawberry smoothie was strong. 75% sweetness was too sweet for me, and the smoothies are not milk based so it was just really sugary and tart, but still good. It took about 5-8 minutes for the drinks and 15 minutes or so for the food. Ordering off the kiosk in the front was easy, and staff was available behind the counter ready to help as well. The place is small. Arriving around 7:30, we found seating, but after 8pm on a Saturday, it definitely got crowded. We had no problem finding parking right in front of the entrance. A pleasant experience overall. Cool spot for light snacks, dessert, and tea.“

“Cider Junction is a great spot to have a chill outing and try some cider while snacking on some delicious food! Their tap list does tend to change but there always seem to be lots of good options on there for each rotation! Our favorite this time around was the hemly pink lady - off-dry apple cider with pink lady, braeburn, and granny smith... it's like super apple!! We supplemented our flights with their loaded baked tator tots and their pretzel with beer cheese (always get the beer cheese over the mustard!!!!) We always love getting their pretzels - there's just something about cider and pretzels that make them pair together so well. Overall, it's a pretty chill and affordable spot to hang out! You can definitely get full off their food (and drinks of course) but I wouldn't go here for a meal specifically.“
