“If you are trying to figure out what to eat in Capitola I HIGHLY recommend Left Coast Sausage Worx.To start the service was outstanding. Very friendly and welcoming. The choices of sausage were spot on. I normally stay away from the average hot dog. But Left Coast Sausage Worx has some of the highest quality of sausages in Santa Cruz. They post all the details of the sausage on the menu and source multiple options from Corralitos, home to mouth watering sausages.Their buns are sourced from Aldos bakery. A local bakery/restaurant that my family has been going to for years. For thoes not interested in meat they have a veggie sausage! This was my order and it was the most flavorful sausage I had ever tried. Had my boyfriend try it and he was mind blown for how rich it was with italian flavor. You can find some bomb eats here without breaking the bank.Highly recommend and will be returning.“

“Not the place for in store dining unless you have no other options. Not an especially bad dining area, just kinda depressing like most fast food joints. Take it home and gorge on delicious chicken in private, and in peace. The crew seems especially great though.. there's an older lady who really rocks front of house, and in keeping the kitchen hustling along, and a Hispanic guy who's super polite and on top of it.The food is great.. original recipe all the way, but the crispy strips are also fire. Make sure to grab some of the Colonel's hot sauce too, it's like Tabasco ought to be. 9 out of 10.It's sad that Santa Cruz chased away the westside KFC, but it's not surprising. This Capitola location is the only KFC around, so do support it.. because once it's gone, you will miss it.Oh yeah, and the Coleslaw is amazing. There's a $30 deal going on which includes a bucket of original recipe, crispy strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, biscuits, and fries. It's amazing to be able to feed a family of 4 with leftovers, for $30.. McDonald's is like $15-18 for a meal per person nowadays, and it sucks. Burger King is the same now too.Oh yeah, and, this is also an A&W, so you can get yourself a root beer float, in a sad waxed cup.. no more frosty mugs or drive up dining like back in the day on Ocean St. It's sad. No more drive up, drive through, or drive in movies anymore in Santa Cruz.“

“Service:The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. I opted to give my order to them directly vs the kiosks, due to inability to customize my order on the kiosks. Both of the young workers were friendly and patient with me as I informed them of my preferences. All smiles and friendly vibes. This was a Wednesday evening.Food:You get what you order, so be specific if you have specific desires. The quality has always been consistently good at any given Togos. This particular visit, my sandwich was made exactly how I asked and I was very happy when I was done eating.Inside:As the light aroma of hot pastrami greets the nose, one might notice it is very clean upon entry. Well lit. Plenty of tables to dine in. A restroom for customers (the only part of this Togo's that I noticed to be not so clean or aesthetically pleasing).Outside:Located in an outdoor strip mall. Parking is plentiful and fairly easy to get a close spot to the restaurant. A Yogurt Land is next door and it appears that the two restaurants provide outdoor seating together. This area of the mall looked well kept and loved by locals.“

A&W Restaurant Fast Food • $
2120 41st Ave, Capitola

“It was a good idea having KFC and A&W combined. I enjoyed having the choice between the two places or a little of both. I went with three chicken strips and a double cheeseburger combo. Both were hot and seemed really fresh. The chicken was super tender and the burger had a great flavor. The fries were also some of the best I've had in a while. They had a little seasoning on them which tasted really good. The restaurant doesn't have a lot of places to sit but even to go would be a great option. Definitely worth a try.“

Bacon Cheese Burger

“Basic fast food: rancid seed oils, CAFO meat, high-fructose corn syrup, mystery toxic sludge - but we're not talking Michelin stars here, and I don't know anyone who eats fast food for their health. But my review is about the workers. The vast majority of us have worked in fast food and it is pretty much the worst. I really feel for those who have to support families on the crappy wages, explosion of Karens, and general working conditions. I have never had a bad experience with any of the workers - they're all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and they do their best to get the food out as fast as they can. Every time I've been in there to expand my fat ass, I've been greeted with a friendly face and sense of humor.“

“Can't go wrong with an old skool chicken sandwich from BK (Burger King). One of the only fast food establishments in Northern Santa Cruz County of the H1, 41st Avenue. It's a quick bit and clean. The traffic can get rough, bit your appetite will be fulfilled. Newly remodeling helps the asthetics and appearance to please as you enter the parking lot and approach the ordering counter.“

Jersey Mike's Subs Sandwich Shop • $
1820 Mission St, Santa Cruz

“Awesome steak and cheese subs!!! Just like what I ate growing up in Boston. Excellent steak and produce. I only gave "Service" 4 stars for two reasons. One, you can always be better. I don't think anyone is truly a 5. And two, and unfortunately, the main reason for only 4 stars is that they don't tend to read the directions or notes supplied on each sandwich when ordered. IE: Add Mayo - Slice in 4, etc. Other than that slight issue, It would be 4.99 Stars!!!Jersey Mike's is awesome!!!! Can't wait for the Scotts Valley, CA location to open so I don't have to go all the way to Santa Cruz!!!“
