“I like this place before I even ate my order. The staff here are super friendly, I want to go back just for that, it’s a great want to start the day. I love how they have Turkey sausage breakfast sandwiches! I haven’t had mammal meat for over five years. Cancer feeds off those proteins so this is a great alternative. I won’t ever go back to those other fast food joints. I do have to warn you though, the hash browns were TERRIBLE !!! Greasy and only 5 or 6 small rounds. Not worth the money don’t try them.Dietary restrictions: They have alternative options to having pork or beef!“

“Hubby seen this place and we headed over after a workout. Very nice welcome when you come inside. So many options on the menu. From pre workout to post workout, to protein food options. So many choices. I ordered the coffee post workout and my husband ordered a Reese's post. Both were delicious. Gentleman was very kind and helpful. I like that it is dairy free. A little pricey but was isn't these days. Especially if you're putting something good into your body right...it's worth it. We will be back!!“

The passion shows in this shop... there is an ages old argument as to whether donuts are a pastry or a deep fried sweet bread... and my thinking is that they ARE a pastry, and pastries are a type of bread. Not all breads are pastries but all pastries are breads. Whatever... that said i will add that many donuts are less like the typical delicate pastry and more like fry bread with frosting... grocery store donuts for instance... or krusty krab sugar bombs. The donuts at Dragonfly transcend the fry bread with frosting by several levels. The shop is spotless and uncluttered with smiles for everyone. My new fav!!“

“I came here this morning, there was 1 lady working with about 4 customers, me included. I grabbed a couple danishes, which were great. I love the location relative to the South Sacramento working areas, but I imagine this place CAN get busy and increase your wait if only one worker is present. I don't know if another works along side the lady. I was patient but it did take it me a second to get my order in, and she was hastey trying to get to me. Give this place a try. They have like 3 or 4 different danishes, strawberry, blue berry, + others“

I first heard of this place more than 10 years ago when my donut-loving father gave it high marks for great donuts; good coffee; and good service. We are usually on the same page when it comes to donuts and he would rather patronize local, mom-and-pop businesses than some national chains that feel they no longer have to work for their customers' business because they can just sit on the laurels of their big, popular business name (yes I'm talking to you Dunkin Donuts!) You were good when we were together on the East Coast but moving to Cali has done you no favors. But enough about DD. Back to Donut Heaven where they seriously have some of the best fluffy; squishy; pillowy; freshly-made on the daily delightful donuts. Their whipped cream-filled donuts are nice and tasty; the whipped cream tastes like real whipped cream. it is light and airy and not fake chemical tasting. Their maple and chocolate glazes are on point: not gloopy, easily melted, or overly sweet but just right ( and I'm sure Goldilocks could attest to this.) The people who own it are pleasant, accommodating, humble, and kind. I know: I should've dropped this review long ago but part of me was worried that too many reviews would get them to this lofty headspace that some competitors (yes, that's you Dunkin!) reside in and I didn't want Donut Heaven to rest on their laurels either but I think if 10 years or so of regular thanks and compliments from their patrons hasn't caused them to become a big-headed business yet, then maybe they will never turn into Dunkin and they will just continue being the humble donut-crafting artisans that I admire and will continue buying my weekly donuts from.“

“I actually came here because I heard the sandwiches were amazing. I was surprised when I got there that the sandwiches were fairly simple. It was just a sandwich on regular bread, or croissant and they really only had ham, turkey, veggie, or tuna. I got Ham and turkey on a croissant. The sandwich was good, but it was just a sandwich. I would never tell someone that the sandwiches are amazing here, and It was pretty expensive for what I got. I suppose this place probably has a local following that really likes it, but it was just an average sandwich for me. The donuts did look really good though.“
