I recently tried one at a different restaurant and felt the relleno was pointless and was not impressed. Fatima's burrito changed my perspective on that and the chile relleno with all the cheese was life! 4/5 only thing I wish they had was a good spicy/hot salsa to pair with it. I snagged the roasted hot jalapeno off my friends Chicken Kabob plate. Chicken 4/5 was good, juicy & flavor able but the rice 2/5 I was not a fan of. Tried the Birria Taco 3/5 they are generous with the meat because it came in 2 tortillas I was able to make 2 tacos out of the 1 and share it. The fish taco here was not to our liking. I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!“

“I had Lamb wrap. The lamb was top quality and melted in my mouth. My friend had the koubideh kabob and again the quality of the meat was second to none. Hameed was very attentive and gave us a lovely sample of cauliflower soup and he’s very passionate about the food served. Farhad was our server and he was an absolute joy! I tried it thinking meh I'll probably let my husband have it bit after the first bite I devoured it with the pita.Oh the rice! Wow! Al Hamra has most of the classic favorites. Lots of the good stuff like falafel, hummus, tabbouli, and more. The platters are big and are a lot of food for an okay price. A pretty small place but they have a lot on the menu, and it's better than it looks to be honest. It's not pretty from the outside but it's clean inside. There's the counter to order at, and there's just a few tables. Most people call in orders and get it to go. We were already there so we ate there. It's about $14 for the platters. These are big and come with lots of stuff. I got the Falafel Plate. This comes with hummus, rice, and salad. Good falafel. These were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Ones like these are best. Then I used the pitas to make sandwiches out of these. Convenient place after getting off the shuttle a few blocks from here. It's pretty quick and simple. There's great choices like the falafel for vegans and vegetarians.“

Their quarter dark meat chicken plates are too small, but a half chicken would be too much (and I don't like white meat anyway, so it would be wasted on me). I always leave a Zankou still somewhat hungry, and that shouldn't happen, not with the prices they're charging. Please, Zankou, offer a three-piece chicken option! Either that, or get bigger chickens! The chicken legs you use are tiny!“

They got catering from here and when I tell you I had one bite and ran to our director and asked where the food was from! I love Mediterranean food and the flavors experienced here were incredible. My favorite thing is ordering some chicken tawook and adding some veggie skewers, which is not on the menu but doable ;) And I truly can't pick between the garlic and jalapeño sauce. They're both so good and I can NOT eat my food without them both! Their pita bread is also sold by bag and it's super cheap!! I think it's a dollar.
