“Jack’s Cafe in ChicoIt’s a little place on Main Street,Where everyone knows who you are.Immediately you feel right at home,No matter if you’ve traveled far.You hear a bright “hello” when you enter,Very nice at six-thirty in the morn.“Sit anywhere you like,” I heard someone say,Just like they’d known me since I was born. So, I sat in a booth by the windows,That run the full length of the place. There were only three others sitting at a table,Having coffee, talking stories face to face. They probably come in every morning,This must be their place to go.Tina has the coffee ready,She’s always the first server to show. She took my order, the senior special,Biscuits and gravy, bacon and fruit. The coffee was included, of course,With unlimited refills to boot. After a while, Michelle came on duty,A second waitress for all the hungry folks.I guess they know they’ll soon be busy,Serving breakfasts with sunnyside yokes. There’s take-out, of course, you can order ahead,Many people take their food home. It’s a constant stream of customers,Feeding themselves by using their phones. Then Leah arrived for her shift,That made three all at the same time.I knew my food was good but with three servers,The rest of the menu must be fine. What an incredible place I found,The ambiance and food is so “Rico.”Serendipity had brought to the best place in town,Jake’s Cafe in Chico.Henry Lansing WoodwardApril 29, 2024Chico, California“
“On the job? A great meal to get you through the day! Great flavor. Filling. Nutritious balance if you want it. Quick service--call 10 minutes ahead and it's ready when you arrive. Eat in your truck. Take it home to treat your family. Share in the park with your partner. Always more than satisfies.“
“My daughter and I were walking by to go to Starbucks and saw this place checked out the menu and decided to try them instead of coffee. My daughter hasCeliac disease so no gluten for her so we got it on their gluten free wrap. Anyone that can’t have gluten knows wraps always fall apart and are dry like the breads but their gluten free wraps are amazing they were even better then an original one so amazing my daughter was so happy she had to go back in and let them know how amazing they are. I highly suggest going and giving them a try 100% also the worker was so nice and sweet best customer serviceDietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“I absolutely love their Hmong sausage and sticky rice. Also, in my opinion, they have the BEST spicy sauce I've ever had. Whenever I think about their food my mouth waters. You like spicy food, try the Hmong sausage, I'm sure you won't be disappointed“
“Highly recommend this place to anyone who has gluten sensitivity or needs dairy substitutes! They have gluten friendly crusts and dairy free cheese substitute! My husband and I can eat together and both be happy! We eat here once or twice a week. The employees always ask me if I need them to change gloves which I appreciate( though I’m not celiac)so I feel they want to do train them to be careful and I wouldn’t hesitate to ask them if I needed it. Friendly feel/vibe! Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Dairy free cheeseDietary restrictions: Gluten friendly crust, offer to change gloves when handling your pizza ?Kid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere“
“I've never been here before and wow, it's tasty! Look up the menu before as they don't have SOME classic subs you might expect (no pastrami), but they've got an amazing selection of Italian meats you don't see at other sub sandwich chains, along with philly cheese steak and other hot sandwich options. Obviously the splash of "the juice" is the real cherry on top: a signature vinaigrette based sauce and olive oil if I remember correctly. They were VERY BUSY when I was there but everyone had a smile and a good attitude, making the best of the situation. The employee's positive demeanors definitely helped keep the vibe in the small, crowded shop not feel small and crowded. I highly recommend checking them out.“
“The food is great for a good price. Best burger fastfood there is in my opinion. The restaurant inside has plenty of places to sit with nice music playing. The bathrooms are clean but you do need a passcode to get in, that's probably how they stay clean by preventing homeless and vagrants from trashing it. A good selection on the menu to choose from and some dessert treats tooParking: Lots of places to park. Easy to access drivethrough“
“Picture of the menu. I haven't eaten here yet. I'm looking forward to trying it but the menu was hard to find so I'm posting a picture of it and meeting the minimum number of characters on a review because yelp is requiring all of this instead of just letting me post a picture of the menu for people's help when deciding where to eat.“
“I went today to drive Thru I was waiting for rice to cook a worker was very nice and helpful while me and my daughter waited he was super nice very much appreciated.very satisfied with customer service tonight Tafari was his name kind young man .“
“We order from this place regularly via DoorDash and everything we have tried has been AMAZING! The shrimp tacos are very tasty! The nacho fries are to die for! No other place in town does taquitos as well as they do! This is our go to spot for the best food in town!“
“Always great food. No matter how busy they are ( and they are always busy) everyone is always professional and pleasant.Parking: Parking is limited but usually find a spot. Might have to park by crispy cream but have never not found a spot.“
