“The. Best. Torta de lomo. Ever. The meat is juicy and tender, and it actually has some spice to it because of the jalapeños they add. All of the veggies and avocado is fresh!!! The agua frescas and smoothies that I've tried are delicious as well. The ladies who work there are sweet, thorough and efficient. Not to mention, fast! Only thing I don't so much care for is the space itself. It's very small and usually overcrowded, and no public restroom is available. Also the parking lot is always a mess because there are multiple businesses in the area, but it's all worth it for this food, truuuust!“

“Hidden gem- thank you Yelpers! I've been searching fruitlessly for a good flat white for a few weeks. I wanted the taste of the kind you can get in France and I feel like a lot of the coffee here just tastes burnt.Well today my coffee wish came true. I actually go to this industrial park regularly for work but I had no idea this coffee place was there, just a few doors down from the unit I'm usually visiting. My loss! It's a little hidden from the main road but super easy to get to. If you're coming east off the 5, it's the first parking lot/ set of buildings on your left. Turn left as you enter the parking lot and then first right into the first row of parking you see between the two buildings, and it's about halfway down on the left. The service was really friendly and the coffee is sooo good and smooth! My afternoon is looking much better thanks to them. :)“

“Gluten free, dairy free, protein-packed donuts. They are not just good, they are killer! I randomly walked into this place with a friend, not expecting to get anything but his usual coffee order, and saw their amazing looking baked goods. I never can get anything fun at coffee shops with all of my food allergies, but when we asked, the barista let us know that not only are most of their treats GF, but also dairy free!!! The lemon lavender donut blew my mind, it was so amazing. Might even be one of the best donuts I have ever had, even before my allergies hit. I cannot wait for another excuse to be in Coronado so I can get another one.“

Supposedly it's 9am-5pm but when I visited they had a note saying 12pm-5pm so I am not sure on their hours anymore. Coffee was great. Loved the espresso drop shot. They had seating inside, a small bench outside and served alcohol as well.“

“This is a cool little shop that is next to a butcher shop and an empanada place. The owners are a brother - sister duo that has taken their love and passion of brewing coffee and have turned it into a business. Even though they are a newer coffee shop, they have built a community that connects dog lovers and motorcycle enthusiasts. Midnight Animal Coffee is a chill shop that is all about bringing people together and centering them around coffee. You can tell that the team knows their craft with coffee and even though their menu isn't too big, the products they have are special and have a unique taste. I had an event there for a photography meet and there were a lot of nooks in this coffee shop that were so cool to take pics - like the motorcycle out in front and the cool bathroom inside. The shop is located in a strip mall and there is a parking lot with free parking, but since it is shared with other businesses around the area - the lot gets full pretty fast. You may have to park along the streets of North Park, but it's not too far of a walk. If you're looking for a place to chill, this is definitely a cool place to visit!“

“Ahh lovesong. This reminds me of LA. The coffee shop is so cute inside, I love all the decor and design, very open concept with lots of natural light and plants. Just a really nice place to be in and to take friends to. I really enjoy the creativity and presentation of the drinks. Most drinks come with a floral decor. The menu has a lot of variety for coffee drinks. I also like how there's lots of drinks with savory elements that you would not typically associate with coffee drinks (think rosemary, thyme, salt, habanero pepper) as well as other sweet ingredients (maple syrup, coconut flakes, fig, banana). For food they have a few items in their fridge, like yogurts or chia bowls. I Wish they offered more food options or pastry options. Their pastry display is pretty small. But I get that the specialty here is the coffee. The service has been good. The times I've gone the orders take a while but that's because there's a huge line/wait. But when we get our drinks they taste great.“

“When work brings me to the San Diego Convention Center, one of my favorite perks is getting to swing by Achilles Coffee in the Gaslamp District. This spot has quickly become my go-to for breakfast and a much-needed caffeine fix to kickstart the day. In fact, I just stopped by today and got The Warrior Breakfast, which comes with fluffy scrambled eggs mixed with cheese, a stack of three mini pancakes drizzled with a syrup that's absolutely delicious, creamy smashed avocado, and a choice between bacon or cranberry sausage. The perfect fuel for a busy day I had ahead, complemented of course by a beautifully crafted latte. I'm already looking forward to my visit tomorrow to try their breakfast burrito. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!“

“Ordered a “large” oat milk cappuccino for a coworker and was told they only have one size of a cappuccino, but they could make me a latte. This was the first good sign!We had a large order, and it got a little busy. Wound up waiting a bit for our pour overs. One of the pour overs stalled while the barista helped other patrons. It was dumped and started again. This was the second good sign!Every drink we ordered was enjoyed. My pour over was fantastic. Highly recommend Bird Rock for their dedication to crafting quality beverages.“

“The coffee here is so good. The first time I came here I got an iced white mocha, that was seriously the best white mocha I’ve ever had. Today I got the classic açaí bowl (my first time ever having acai!) and an iced pistachio honey latte I think. The açaí was really good, I loved how simple and yummy it was.I really like trying different flavors of coffee, especially lattes, so I was excited to try the pistachio honey. It was pretty interesting, I would definitely buy it again.I think any coffee you get from here is gonna be great, it just always has this particular flavor that is SO GOOD. Also every time I come here it’s usually before class so I have to get my food to go, but the baristas always provide quick and friendly service. The atmosphere is really cozy, with indoor and outdoor seating and pretty decorations. I wish I had time to sit in and eat here!!Overall, this is a pretty great coffee shop. In my opinion, probably the best place in San Diego. Although I have yet to try the sandwiches or omelettes. But I still highly recommend it!!“

“By far my favorite coffee roaster in San Diego. Located right across from Petco Park. We've visited during off season so it was easy to drop in without any huge ball crowds. The star of the shop that I really enjoyed was the nitro cold brew. Incredibly smooth and great tasting. As soon as the brew was poured out of the tap, you can immediately tell it's gonna be a good day. By far one of the best nitro cold brews I've ever had. Staff was welcoming and service was quick. “Review applies to coffee and ice cream only, separate occasions.Had “The Champ” latte, their cinnamon/honey latte, which was wonderfully balanced and even better than expected. Not sure if they do latte art in drinks that are not to-go or if they even offer sit-down coffees, but the taste and texture of the latte was a strong 9/10.The ice cream is also delicious, albeit nearly the same price as a good gelato shop around here ($8/two scoops is a bit steep for ice cream). All the flavors I’ve had were great. The atmosphere is rather lacking - very limited seating and sort of ramshackle in its decor and layout. Not really on par with the high-quality third wave coffee they’re serving.Service was, while friendly, surprisingly slow for coffee. There was only one person getting one drink in front of me and I still waited nearly 10 mins for the latte. Like many businesses here, the staff assumes zero sense of urgency, even in the face of long lines. If you can catch it with a zero or 1-2 person line and plan to take your items to-go, the drinks are fantastic and the ice creams are excellent as well. Just don’t expect to enjoy a posh, relaxing and modern coffee shop ambiance along with it.“
