“Subterranean is amazing!! I’m so happy they opened this location, I’ve been going to the north park and South Park locations for years but this one is much closer. They have the best acai bowls I’ve ever had and their coffee is delicious. I love the different flavor combinations they create too. Check them out!“
“Great location, staff, and coffee. I enjoy stopping here on longer bike rides for an energy boost and I’m always greeted warmly with a lovely place to take a rest. There is ample outdoor seating which seamlessly blends into the café, such a great atmosphere.I love the coffee here. I recently sampled a matcha donut and it was delicious. I look forward to trying more pastries.“
“Stumbled across this wonderful coffee shop while visiting old town San Diego. A gem of a place, wonderful service and the coffee was delicious, there were 6 people in my party and we all enjoyed our drinks. I highly recommended stopping by and having a delicious cup of coffee or espresso.“
“Cool place. It was absolutely packed on a Saturday morning but I wasn't in a hurry so I waited in the line for about 20-25 minutes to see what the hype is about.I bought a bag of beans for $18 and they were very fresh - roasted the day before I bought them and made great home espresso. The mocha I bought was very tasty too. I did not get any food - I wish they had prices on the pastries in their display! Overall I'm happy with the experience but I hope to return when it's less crowded!“
“This is a cool little shop that is next to a butcher shop and an empanada place. The owners are a brother - sister duo that has taken their love and passion of brewing coffee and have turned it into a business. Even though they are a newer coffee shop, they have built a community that connects dog lovers and motorcycle enthusiasts. Midnight Animal Coffee is a chill shop that is all about bringing people together and centering them around coffee. You can tell that the team knows their craft with coffee and even though their menu isn't too big, the products they have are special and have a unique taste. I had an event there for a photography meet and there were a lot of nooks in this coffee shop that were so cool to take pics - like the motorcycle out in front and the cool bathroom inside. The shop is located in a strip mall and there is a parking lot with free parking, but since it is shared with other businesses around the area - the lot gets full pretty fast. You may have to park along the streets of North Park, but it's not too far of a walk. If you're looking for a place to chill, this is definitely a cool place to visit!“
“Ahh lovesong. This reminds me of LA. The coffee shop is so cute inside, I love all the decor and design, very open concept with lots of natural light and plants. Just a really nice place to be in and to take friends to. I really enjoy the creativity and presentation of the drinks. Most drinks come with a floral decor. The menu has a lot of variety for coffee drinks. I also like how there's lots of drinks with savory elements that you would not typically associate with coffee drinks (think rosemary, thyme, salt, habanero pepper) as well as other sweet ingredients (maple syrup, coconut flakes, fig, banana). For food they have a few items in their fridge, like yogurts or chia bowls. I Wish they offered more food options or pastry options. Their pastry display is pretty small. But I get that the specialty here is the coffee. The service has been good. The times I've gone the orders take a while but that's because there's a huge line/wait. But when we get our drinks they taste great.“
“Okay YUM! Have been eyeing this place for a while and finally decided to pop in- so glad I did! As a gluten free girlie this place was quite a pleasant surprise as almost their entire case of pastries is gluten free. And they were so yummy! I haven’t had a lemon meringue in years and wow was it delicious. Even my gluten-eating boyfriend was impressed. The espresso / coffee is also great quality and very smooth. Very cute interior decorations with natural lighting. Will be coming back :)“
“Will probably need to find a new place even though I love! There’s never any seats and even though i myself get some work done there occasionally, last time one small table had 4 laptops and it felt like it’s gotten a lot crazier. I’m so so glad to see the success but now with folks driving over from other areas, us folks who live next door can’t really enjoy.Perhaps they can expand into the old Twiggs spot! ??“
“Finally got to try this place out. My son is always dancing upstairs when this place is usually closed. Great coffee! I had the Salted Caramel Latte and he gave me an expresso since I told him I had a kickboxing match later. There's a wide selection if flavors to choose so it might be hard trying to pick what you want. Mark is such a great guy and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend grabbing a drink or snack if you pass by!“
“I purchased a chia with oatmilk, I can taste cardamom and the warmth of the chia spices. 13 $ and some change for 2 iced chia drinks both same size.Warm and friendly barista and a smaller inside area making it cozy but not cramped. It's raining today and the place is filled. I waited a few minutes to be helped but at no inconvenience due to the yummy drink and atmosphere.“
“When work brings me to the San Diego Convention Center, one of my favorite perks is getting to swing by Achilles Coffee in the Gaslamp District. This spot has quickly become my go-to for breakfast and a much-needed caffeine fix to kickstart the day. In fact, I just stopped by today and got The Warrior Breakfast, which comes with fluffy scrambled eggs mixed with cheese, a stack of three mini pancakes drizzled with a syrup that's absolutely delicious, creamy smashed avocado, and a choice between bacon or cranberry sausage. The perfect fuel for a busy day I had ahead, complemented of course by a beautifully crafted latte. I'm already looking forward to my visit tomorrow to try their breakfast burrito. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!“
“Ordered a “large” oat milk cappuccino for a coworker and was told they only have one size of a cappuccino, but they could make me a latte. This was the first good sign!We had a large order, and it got a little busy. Wound up waiting a bit for our pour overs. One of the pour overs stalled while the barista helped other patrons. It was dumped and started again. This was the second good sign!Every drink we ordered was enjoyed. My pour over was fantastic. Highly recommend Bird Rock for their dedication to crafting quality beverages.“
“Loved my visit to Seven Sea Roasting and I think you will too, read more to see why:1. Let's start with the coffee, it's great! Tastes like they know what they are doing. Perfect temperature, great flavor, all around great. Highly recommend for the coffee.2. Service, there is something about San Diego coffee shops where I walk in and get a drink a few minutes later. It's amazing. Super fast and high quality. Also, the people working were kind and helpful. Helped me find a treat for my daughter who can't have gluten.3. Love the details in the space. Awesome aatmosphere. For coming at 7:30 in the morning the place was active. Seems like a spot a lot of people enjoy. Good attention to detail.Highly recommend checking this place out, see photos to get a sense of the space.“
“Coffee was pretty good, but the service was really average. Almost no acknowledgement that your drinks are ready, in general didn’t seem like they wanted us there (maybe it was just early in the morning, but that’s the coffee business right?). Atmosphere was industrial / metallic / warehouse which is different for little Italy / downtown area.“
“Oh my gosh. This coffee shop is the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. First off the vibes are immaculate. Good coffee, dogs, beer, and everything you can imagine. They even play planet earth on the TV which brings me serious nostalgia. The service was superb. The one barista, Maiya, treated me like a literal queen and made my coffee taste scrumptious. Would go back immediately.“
“The coffee here is so good. The first time I came here I got an iced white mocha, that was seriously the best white mocha I’ve ever had. Today I got the classic açaí bowl (my first time ever having acai!) and an iced pistachio honey latte I think. The açaí was really good, I loved how simple and yummy it was.I really like trying different flavors of coffee, especially lattes, so I was excited to try the pistachio honey. It was pretty interesting, I would definitely buy it again.I think any coffee you get from here is gonna be great, it just always has this particular flavor that is SO GOOD. Also every time I come here it’s usually before class so I have to get my food to go, but the baristas always provide quick and friendly service. The atmosphere is really cozy, with indoor and outdoor seating and pretty decorations. I wish I had time to sit in and eat here!!Overall, this is a pretty great coffee shop. In my opinion, probably the best place in San Diego. Although I have yet to try the sandwiches or omelettes. But I still highly recommend it!!“
“Good coffee and vibes. I wish they would put in more tables because it's always full of people working and there's tons of space for more seating. Myself and many people I know try to come here often and then leave because there's no open “
“I had a fantastic experience at this coffee place. The location couldn't have been better, and the atmosphere was truly enjoyable. However, due to its popularity, seating was consistently full, which might be something to consider during peak hours. Nonetheless, the quality of the coffee was commendable, and the staff members were exceptional, providing top-notch service throughout my visit.“
“By far my favorite coffee roaster in San Diego. Located right across from Petco Park. We've visited during off season so it was easy to drop in without any huge ball crowds. The star of the shop that I really enjoyed was the nitro cold brew. Incredibly smooth and great tasting. As soon as the brew was poured out of the tap, you can immediately tell it's gonna be a good day. By far one of the best nitro cold brews I've ever had. Staff was welcoming and service was quick. Skip Starbucks and support local. Cheers to a good brew.“
“I was worried the vanilla bean latte would be too sweet but it wasn’t. It has just a hint of sweetness. Came out at a temperature you could immediately start drinking which is slightly too cold for me. The macchiato came out about the same temperature. Everything came out super fast.“
“Great experience at Modern Times Flavordome. Tron poured us drinks and was super knowledgeable about the entire menu. I tried all the hazy IPAs in a flight which was pretty good. I then had a pint of orderville which is my favorite. We were able to bring in our pizza from across the street and eat it inside.“
“we ate a bagel and a sandwich which was very fulfilling and extremely delicious! what impressed us the most was their coffee, more specifically the mocha it was so rich and creamy we fell in love with it. The baristas were very kind as well. Definitely recommend :)“
“Westbean on Morena is by far the best of their locations. My go to is the salted caramel with oat. It has a creamy texture and is amazing iced and hot. When served hot the drink has thick velvety foam (even w/oat milk) so nice to sip on a cold day. The breakfast sandwich is so good too, try the chipotle mayo! Parking is never an issue and I have never waited in a line of more than a couple people. The inside is clean, modern and quiet. Great place to study.“
“Nice coffee from a nice brand: the only problem is that it's one of a few coffee locations in this nice mall, the line is LONG, and you will have to wait on a busy weekend/holiday for quite some time to get the great stuff in your hands. I almost walked away but there was no better option at the time and in the end ti is worth waiting for, took about 20+ minutes to get our goods. They very much need to increase the demand for capacity at peak times.“
“Excellent neighborhood coffee shop. Got a Brownie, Red Velvet cookie, Blueberry Muffin, and an Almond Pastry. The muffin had lots of blueberries. Everything was freshly made and very tasty. Nothing was over the top too sweet like at other coffee shops.Parking: Plenty of parking in the parking lot and street.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking, entrance, and seating.“
“I have been here 30+ times. Fantastic local coffee spot for a number of reasons. Always prompt. Always delicious. Vastly superior to chain locations nearby. The coffee itself is balanced perfectly in taste/flavor. Rewards program is fantastic too. Staff is on point.“
“Place was hopping when i got there Thursday morning around 10ish, dog friendly, quite a few people brought their dogs, food was solid i had a croissant breakfast sandwich. I also had the sandpiper which came with latte art hearts.I went there to do some homework, (free wifi) and had a great experience.20 min walk to the Torrey Pines hiking spot and close to the beach!Parking might be the only thing worth considering, i just drove around a couple minutes and found street parking“
“Went to PB Farmers Market yesterday and what a delightful surprise to find this coffee truck! The cortado was perfect and the blueberry lime cookies divine!! We will be back soon to their Garnet location! Well Done!Parking: Street parking and lots nearby“
