“This eatery is more than a bakery. We found it on yelp today and tried it for the first time. We ordered the chicken enchalada and fish taco meals. Both were very delicious and serving size was huge. I wanted to keep eating even when my belly was full! It comes with a basket of crispy tortilla chips, 1 red and 1 green sauce, a salad, Mexican rice, refried beans that stayed nice and hot in a perfect way thru the meal. The place is so cute, very clean and welcoming. Service is great and friendly. I wish we had discovered Cafe Rico sooner. It is now our new go-to for a wonderful and delicious Mexican meal. We highly recommend it. You will leave well fed and happy, happy!“

“Veggie pasties from Marshall's Pasties are my favorite nostalgic food to get whenever I'm back in Grass Valley! Having lived above Marshall's Pasties (2005 through 2008ish) you would think I would have gotten to the point where I had eaten enough veggie pasties to last a lifetime, but I'm nowhere close to being sick of them. Whenever I'm in the area, I make sure to get a bunch to keep in the freezer, but they always go fast! They are very flavorful -- flakey crust that is the perfect level of softness, and filling that is to die for. Don't leave off the malt vinegar! Plus pasties are like soup you can hold!“

“I enjoy coming here. I come for the cookies, pies, donuts, pastries, muffins, and other treats (and the friendly faces behind the counter are great, too!). I also hear the cakes and dinner rolls are phenomenal (I can't wait to try them). We have always been satisfied when it comes to Gristmill sweets! My experience with their lunches isn't as exciting. I ordered lunch (to-go) several times, and all three experiences needed to be corrected. The first time I placed a (to-go) order, they forgot to include our chicken quesadilla - when we went back to pick it up, they missed the chicken in the quesadilla (we weren't going back a third time!). The second time I placed a (to-go) lunch order, they missed the request for no mustard in my BLT (insert sad face here). The last order placed was the $12.95 "More than a House Salad," which you would hope is not dull and bland. My salads need crunch and flavor, especially when indicated, "More than." “In from Wisconsin for an event. I’m up early, nothing is really open except Brew Bakers across from my hotel.I wander over, get a cortado and a cold brew, and WOW. Absolutely incredible coffee, blown away. I’d drive from LA weekly just to get coffee from here.Definitely go. It’s the exact small town coffee vibe you want.“

“To be fair, it does call itself a caffè, so maybe 3 stars for the atmosphere isn't enough. Very good food, nice presentation, generous portions and friendly wait staff. The chocolate mousse dessert is large enough to be shared. We plan to visit again.“

“Their French toast is so good.I ordered it one day and they ran out of bread and drove to buy more bread in the rain to make the French toast. I also always drink the Mayan mocha which is a yummy treat too.Parking: Can find parking right in front of the cafe or along the street.“
