“Found this little shop tucked in between two larger chains on a trip recently, and I'm glad I went! When I arrived around 12:30, there was no wait to order. The menu is simple, with a great selection of flavor combinations and options to choose from. I highly recommend the kelp noodle for its extraordinarily *Great Crunchy Texture* and the Seaweed Salad! The shop did not mess around and served up large portions of everything I asked for: the lid was clinging onto the container for dear life! That was just fine by me, as it didn't last long. I would have gotten pictures, but the food was so inviting. *Y'all* This place smelled SOOO GOOD. The fellow at the counter was super friendly, responded to questions, and chatted awhile about how my trip was going. Great atmosphere, pricing, and variety! I am looking forward to the next time I can return to Colma to try another combination!Parking: Free parking, but the lot is the size of a closet and passes cars about the same... right next to a Starbucks...“
“My wife and I went to Outer Orbit for the first time recently on a date night. The food was great, the prices were reasonable, the staff were attentive and the ambiance was light and fun. I highly recommend checking it out. Parking can be an issue, (It's the mission district) it is what it is... 4 out of 5 stars “
“Hula hoops staff happily accommodated our large group of 14 on a rainy Saturday night at a very last minute request. They have offered 1000/10 service to the group despite a full house, and have provided amazing food and drinks! Hands down amazing fusion of hawaiian and filipino food.Their drinks are 10000/10!!!“
“Food was great and staff are polite. You order on an iPad and bring your food out to you, which was to use easy and convenient.Too much plastic waste for dine in orders though. Trash can was overflowing from disposable containers thrown out by customers exiting the restaurant.“
“We made a reservation which cost $10 but we didn't make it in time so we missed our reservation but we were still able to be seated quickly. They were just two of us. On a Friday night..The vegan ramen was delicious and the rice pudding was as well.“
“Love this little mom and pop shop! My son runs in and is so happy when he knows we are coming here. The owners are lovely, friendly and very hospitable. The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious no matter what you order! Highly recommended!“
“I have been going to Moki’s for over a decade and could not recommend it more. Their food is delicious, and there is something for everyone (good vegetarian food too). In addition, the service is quick and amazing. My personal favorites are the avocado rolls and French fries.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!“
“One of the most delightful meals in recent memory, thanks to the warm and attentive staff at Tuna Kahuna. We came in for Chef’s Table Night and enjoyed yummy dishes you’d expect to see at $$$$ restaurants at reasonable prices. We even brought our baby (we’re new parents) and they were very accommodating. This restaurant serves quality food, no frills. Can’t wait to go back!“
“Had Unco Frank's catered a couple times and each experience has been great. The food is well packaged and delivery service is great. The food is immaculate too, super delicious and easy for an entire group to split up. I particularly love the fried rice because I am a sucker for spam ha! Would recommend.“
“Food: 4.3/5 best bang for your buck here! i can tell that this hole in the wall is a place where lots of blue collar workers come in and out of to pick up a quick and filling lunch for a great price. we got the Loco Moco and the Teriyaki Mixed Plate Lunch and they both hit the spot. the char on the Teriyaki Mixed Plate was delicious and plentiful. the loco moco was good but the gravy tends to make the entire plate soggy so if they had dividers in their to go containers that would be ideal. both plates were hefty big boys that were able to feed us for two meals because we couldn't finish it on the first round. the worker was nice enough to move the table and let me see their drink selection because he saw I was leaning and squinting towards them to read the labels haha. overall, a great meal for a great price in SF(coming from a broke college student)“
“Ordered poke from DoorDash and was very impressed by the quantity and the quality. A medium bowl was plenty (about $17 on DoorDash), size wise. I liked how I could add my 3 favorite things in - seaweed salad, imitation crab salad, and salmon. They even have unagi slices as an option! Sauces were good and wasn't too dry or too soaked. Toppings were good as well.“
“The chili fried chicken was awesome, and the mochi cake was mind-blowing! The people were all so nice, and it was fun chatting with the other people there. The general store is so fun to shop at, and we totally stocked up on goodies! Can't wait to go back for shave ice as it was too cold for it when we went. FYI, portions are huge, we had gone for late breakfast and had more than enough for dinner!!!!“
“I was pleasantly surprised when this place popped up on my TGTG app and I decided to give it a try. Haven't had any poke ever since coming back from Oahu 2 years ago. It was a big box of fresh proteins when a variety of fish and shrimp. The staff was very friendly and it was very easy for me to find a parking spot. Will come back!“
“Very strange experience. I ordered the Ohana Supa Bowl with bbq chicken. It was the same exact thing as a plate.. just served in a bowl. It wasn't prepared differently. This chicken was not diced differently. It was 3 or 4 bbq'd whole chicked thigh fillets with 2 scoops of rice and heaping portion of mac salad. Why is this on the menu?Edit: the food item was not bad, it was merely confusing. Maybe if it was called a small plate I would have been less confused.“
“Been coming here for years and this place is still the best Hawaiian food in the area. You get the best bang for your buck here. Prices have gone up which is to be expected but the portions have never changed. You still get a whole lotta food that can feed you for more than one meal. Recently, I ordered the chicken Katsu regular plate with all mac salad, we had rice at home. This plate fed myself, my 3 daughters n there was still some left to pack for the hubby's lunch for work the next day. I love that the chicken isn't too beaten, it's still very meaty and not flat at all. Fam favorite for sure. Party trays are amazing and a good deal as well. Definitely coming back. I hope this place never leaves. It is a mom & pop shop and they do only take cash so be prepared. If you're ordering for party trays, be ready to pay in full prior to pick up. But it's definitely worth it.“
“Friendly staff. Huge portions that taste terrific. You can ask for less rice and more macaroni salad on the plate lunches. Have bought take out plates of the Chicken Katsu and each one served 2-3 people. Love the Pork Lau Lau & the kahlua pork, offered with or without cabbage. The only thing they lack is island deserts. They have boxes of imported cookies.“
“Came here for a late lunch and ordered thr katsu bowl ($8.95+tax) and the bbq traditional combo ($15.45+tax) - pretty good value for the price! The katsu was fried quite well for a fast food place - crispy outside, and not too dry inside. The sauce that came with it was tasty as well. The bbq combo had one kalbi rib, 3 pieces of bbq chicken and several large slices of thin beef- everything was seasoned thoroughly. The thin beef was a little dry, but still tasted pretty decent. There was rice and macaroni salad and some lettuce on the side as well. This is a great meatlover’s dish!Parking: Parking lot is rly busy due to the In and Out right across from it… traffic from there can back up to this parking lot“
“I like this place. Basic, no frills, Hawaiian BBQ. My favorite is the Shrimp Noodle soup. Large bowl of veggies' shrimp and super hot broth. Noodles on the side in the to go orders. Such nice noodles. Cooked perfectly so they finish cooking when you add them to the hot broth. Highly recommended. All of the other Hawaiian BBQ dishes also on the menu. Not much on atmosphere though.“
“This restaurant is located in the Mission Plaza Shopping Center. There's plenty of parking. They share the parking lot with Lucky's, Jollibee, Red Ribbon Bakery, Iguana Taqueria, and Starbucks. When my wife and I entered this restaurant, we were greeted by a friendly cashier. We ordered the mixed BBQ combo plate, musubi trio, BBQ chicken plate, and the Kuala pork with cabbage. The mixed bbq combo plate consisted of bbq beef ribs, bbq chicken , bbq beef. The meats were cooked to perfection. They were all tender. They trimmed off the fat , which we really appreciated. The musubi trio consisted of spam, BBQ chicken, and chicken katsu. They were all flavorful. The Kuala pork with cabbage was kind of on a little dry side. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. The cashier told us that the orders would be ready in 15 minutes and they only took about 12 minutes. They were generous with the portions and the prices were reasonable. The food was still hot when we got home. We will definitely be back to try their Loco Moco, healthy plates, and Saimin.“
“I came here with a fellow foodie to try the SF Restaurant Week dinner menu on the weekend. We had a reservation, but they informed us that they had already sold out of the items. Unfortunately, there wasn't an option to reserve spots specifically for the SF Restaurant Week set meal. While we were disappointed that we couldn't try the items on the special menu, we found several other items on their online menu, available via QR code on the table, that sounded good. We tried the brussels sprouts and coconut shrimp as appetizers and got the pineapple fried rice as our main dish to share. All the food was great and priced fairly. What's nice about the online menu is it allows you to request certain ingredients of the dishes be put on the side and even split the check with other dinner guests. This place gets an A+ for service and efficiency. The only issue other than the SF Restaurant Week menu not being available was the high level of noise inside the restaurant. I sometimes had to yell a bit to talk to my friend, so it would've been nice if things were a bit quieter. I think next time I would opt to eat outdoors when it's warmer, as it seems calmer, and the outdoor patio in front of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and gives a vacation vibe.“
“Pa'ina over in Japantown SF is a chill spot for some Hawaiian grub on a Saturday night. Surprisingly, it's not buzzing with noise - gives off a pretty relaxed vibe. And guess what? You can book your table online, making life easier. Now, the prices? Pretty darn good for the amount of food they serve up. You won't be draining your wallet here. What's cool is that most folks prefer hanging at the bar instead of the regular tables, adding a sociable touch. But here's the thing - they hit you with a 20% service charge instead of the usual 18%. Kinda sly move considering the otherwise reasonable food prices. It might bug you a bit.Let's talk grub. The musubi is a winner, real Hawaiian vibes. The kimchi noodle and garlic noodle dishes? Fusion done right. And the chicken wings plus MochiKo chicken? Tasty options that fit the bill. All in all, Pa'ina serves up a laid-back Hawaiian feast in Japantown SF. Perfect if you're into that chill atmosphere, online reservations, and not burning a hole in your pocket. Just keep an eye on that service charge - it's the only twist in this tropical tale.ps. Would give this place a 5 stars if not for the 20% - I think at least they should've informed us“
“Tried the one inside The Oracle, recommended by a nice lady sitting in front of us (who said she looks forward to it every game and fish is fresh every day). Oooooh definitely a must! The ladies at the booth were nice. Service was fast and the food was delicious! Definitely fresh and simple but tasty!I wish there was a bit more greens that went with the generous amount of fish.“
“If you want a quick and easy poke bowl, Hi City is definitely a good stop to come by. It's in the financial district, so a lot of workers come here during lunch hours. They have preset bowls on their menu, or you can just create your own. I ended up getting their preset bulgogi bowl as well as the salmon poke bowl which I ended up building. They have lots of different marinades for their salmon and tuna proteins, so it's nice to see those options. I will say the bulgogi is quite salty from the sauce, so you definitely need to eat it with more rice to dilute the flavor if you get it. Other than that, it's a pretty simple poke bowl shop. Nothing really out of the ordinary, but it's still good.“
“Tasty food and a good price. Very convenient downtown location. Friendly staff, handling a lot of work. One note: there was a bone in a piece of fish in my bowl. (I had tuna and salmon.) Very nearly choked. Could be a one-off, but wanted to make sure to flag for the restaurant.“
“Just tried out this poke spot hidden away in an indoor market, and it was a real find! Went with the salmon and spicy tuna, both super fresh and tasty. The sauce was spot-on, not too heavy. I got the spicy mayo sauce and sweet chili. Portions were just right, too.“
“Delicious. Got a large bowl and had to power through to finish it. I really like the marinated salmon but it has ALOT of onions. When my first scoop was mainly onion the guy making the bowl was very nice about re-scooping. Kind service. Good tasting food. Highly recommend. Best for to go.“
“This is my go to poke when I'm in the city. It's fast, friendly and the poke is always good! The portions are hit or miss (depends on who's serving) but I can live with a little more or less spicy tuna. Plus the options for addons are really good. If you're in the Sunset swing by.“
“Stupendous dinner! We were looking for a place close to the tile staircase and this place popped up. It looked like it had something all 4 of is would like, and it did not disappoint! The service was great and the food tasted amazing! All 4 of us give 5*“
“Hawaiian Drive Inn isn't just a restaurant; it's a gathering place for families, friends, and anyone seeking a taste of Hawaii's vibrant culture. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, allowing you to savor your meal at your own pace, whether you choose to dine in or enjoy your meal in the comfort of your car.“
“Good fish. Good sauce. Only feedback is that if we do half rice have salad, it'd be cool if they were half and half rather than salad under hot rice. We ordered delivery and it was solid. Will order light mayo on musubi next time as well.“
“While there's an L&L much closer to me here in Daly City, I find myself going to this particular branch the most. The dining area itself is spacious, and it's almost always empty when I arrive as I usually eat lunch early. My usual is the Mini BBQ Chicken Plate, complete with the requisite chicken, macaroni salad, and white rice (short grain sticky, of course!). A mini plate is oftentimes more than enough for me, so much so that I forego dinner in the evening. This L&L is cash-only, so be sure to hit the ATM on your way here. I think there's an ATM, but save yourself the additional service fee by going to your bank's first.“
“The now go to place as the Serramonte hawaiian food place shut down. This one has a good selection of food and the quantity of each order can easily be saved for left overs or shared. There is an open sauce bar and the general vibe is eat quick and leave. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but not a real sit and chat beyond eating kind of vibe in the place.Parking: The lot around the restaurant is tight, especially as it is a little nook around H&R block... but the rest of the parking lot is open and available, just a small walk.“
