From the short rib poutine to fall off the bone pork ribs, everything we had was masterfully prepared. The doughnut beneigts with homemade strawberry jam were the perfect end to the meal. The rootbeer float was amazing.Portion size was perfect for what we were looking for at the time. The restaurant itself was beautiful and was very relaxing. “I ordered the 2 piece combo you get 1 side and choice of role or some type of sweet bread with powdered sugar. I opted for the roll and spicy rice. It was truly delicious, hot and reasonably priced. The rice was cooked to perfection and spicy good with chicken in it. The only thing is a lady in a wheelchair was in there begging for money. These establishments need to run them out.“

“Food is great! My first experience here was 4th of july 2023. I knew they would be busy, so i called hours ahead for my pick up order and when i got there it wasn't ready because my ticket was buried under other orders and was missed. So i had to wait additional time for my food, per why i ordered ahead. Smdh. And my portions was small!!Second time around, i wanted to try chicken but they were out. The guy that took my order seemed like he didnt want to be there, no smile, no greeting, just no customer service skills what so ever. Food came out fast, bigger portions this time. Just dont know why both times bbq sauce was in my greens, i dont like that.“

“We live a block away passed by many times telling ourselves we should try that place, omg! It’s totally awesome! Starting from Shae the sweet waitress she was so kind and lovely and she spoiled us from the moment we entered the restaurant. Then the cook who’s the owner, they kept sending us samples from their home made savory food. Shae, we loved your attention we are coming back for sure many times! “I would recommend it. They had 90s hip hop playing. It was a little louder than I like, but the sound of voice carried well enough for it not to be too big of a bother. Bottomless mimosas were an option with either orange or cran-pineapple. No complaints about the service. I had biscuits, pancakes, French toast, shrimp & grits. Biscuits were very good. Thick and flavorful. Pancakes were definitely buttermilk. They could've been more fluffy but we're worth it. French toast were tall and narrow. I found them too dry for my taste. But I think that's the style of the bread they use. The crust was not eggy at all...which relates to the texture of the finished item. Shrimp and grits was pretty good. I was satisfied. Overall I would recommend it and would return.“
“I went for lunch with a friend during the week. It was near the holidays, so pretty empty. There was one guy working the tables and the service was fine (he was friendly but took his time to come over).They definitely give you large portions, which I was happy about. I had the jambalaya and my friend ordered the salmon croquettes. Both were seasoned well and the accompanying corn bread was delicious. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the chicken in my jambalaya had a slightly rubbery, processed taste/texture. Maybe I had a bad batch but to have such an important ingredient not work left me slightly disappointed.But I still enjoyed myself enough that I would go back again. I'd just have a different dish.“
“Went there today just before closing. Purchased oxtails with candied yams & rice and gravy. Excellent tasting, the gravy was delicious oxtails were falling off the bones and the candied yams were very good also. Did not really like the corn bread dressing. “Besides the friendly service and great food I was privileged to see an elderly couple walk in and take all the recyclables from the trash can and were greeted with an awesome hello from the lady up front. I'm glad she allowed them to take the aluminum cans and not kick them out like other places.“
“What's wrong with me? I've been to the Long Beach creamery and the Bundt cake place but never tried the meat place. It seems like it was closed whenever I came to this shopping center over the years. I have finally gone several times in the last 2 months and love it! Their smoked chicken sausage has fresh herbs that you can taste like sage and oregano and it's such a depth in the flavors -- you don't even need any BBQ sauce. I've used the sausage for my Cajun pasta, and my New Year's black eyed peas. I've also used them in a chicken pot pie I made on Christmas. You can't go wrong here although it's a little on the pricey side, it's worth it for fresh quality smoked meat! My new go-to!“
“Rinky dink place, but the food and atmosphere make up for it. The customers were friendly. The service was extraordinary. The owner cane out, the cook and the waitress all checked repeatedly. Great service. Because we represented a sorority, Many people spoke to us. One person actually paid for our meals! When we found out, we all cried. It was a wonderful spirit at Dulans, and we were thankful for everything that occurred. We'll be back the next time we go to L.A.“
“This was a word of mouth tryout. It exceeded my expectations. The outside looks regular, so I asked a couple of people I saw leaving with food their opinion they too gave it the thumbs up and recommended the lemon pepper chicken. It was yum but they have a few flavors that aren’t the norm green chili lime, delish, lemon pepper drizzled with chili, definitely a return visit, garlic parmesan fries were nice. And my fav was the watermelon slushy. Yum.I will be back. Gonna try the cranberry coleslaw next time.“

“This is a small place next to a small parking lot. So I was there on a rainy late Saturday afternoon and got right up to the order window. I had the fish and shrimp combo with cabbage and red beans & rice. The fish was fairly thickly and crunchy-battered cooked just right. The shrimp were quite large for a combo plate... this place isn't cheap, but they have it all down to a Cajun science. The seasoning needs more spices, but the light coating was okay.The fried oysters were tasty, and the shrimp hit the spot. The sauces need to have more zing and tang to it. The fries had less salt but were not crispy enough. They have lots of fish to choose from. They also have chicken menu.Overall, this was a good place to order seafood and take out dinner. They don't have tables inside, so you have to eat in the car or take it home.“

Asked for yams and greens and mac and cheese. I got 3 sides Mac and greens only. Still grateful to, because I told her I only had some of the cash and she said it's ok and kindly sent me home! Main issue I have is ....I didn't get ANY gravy at all I had a comfort food craving and that entails lots of smothered gravy. I had to come home and make some gravy. I believe they have new owners because the name changed to Sol of Los Angeles.
