“My wife is Australian, and we are Armenian so when we heard that an Australian Lebanese chicken shop was right down the street from our office we had to check it out. I'm actually surprised it took me so long to figure out it was here! The owner Fred was there and he was so hospitable, his crew handle our order with care and the food was delicious and 100% Australian approved. The chips and secret menu item (chicken salt) were fire...my favorite on the go item is the OC wrap, hands down, and if I were trying to go healthy and light, the Newport Bowl is how I'd roll. If you've got time to sit down, grab the whole chicken with Lebanese bread and garlic salt.....straight fire! Great food, Great prices, nice environment, and friendly hard working staff...highly recommend and I'll be back!“

So i yelped this place & it had great reviews...they were closing too, but they welcomed me! “Wow, small but powerful, very tasty and large portion. The falafel were very crispy and tender, very traditional flavor. The tahini and other sauces very well done. The chicken Shawarma bowl was huge, not traditional shaved Shawarma, but very good nonetheless. The food is fresh, the quality is amazing and the taste is like we are eating in Greece... we are fussy eaters and with a family of chefs, we are critical of Greek restaurants and we were surprised. We had the fish from Greece and it was cooked exactly like it was done in Greece. The Saganaki was exceptional and the Prawn/Shrimp Saganaki was mouth watering. From the Octopus to the beets to the Greek salad and Mousaka...YUM! Give it a go and you won't be disappointed as it's obvious they use quality products and no seed oils... Olive oil used everywhere and it enhances the flavours and taste... we will be back.“

“We were in Santa Ana on business, and stopped at Fresh off the Boat Fish Grill the first night for dinner. We went back every night that week for dinner. 4 days we got takeout salads with a couple appetizers. Very reasonably priced and decently sized portions. We tried Greek salad, gyro salad, and filet salad, as well as pita with garlic sauce and cauliflower bites. One day we ate in and we each got Mexican bowl and it was delicious. Everything is fantastic. The homemade salad dressings and sauces are delicious.The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. We ate outside one night on the little side porch with propane heaters for warmth and the atmosphere was very pleasant.My husband will have more trips to Santa Ana, and I am positive we will eat here again.“

Looked up of lots of places and landed on The Black Trumpet…I’m in the food business and travel a lot, so when eating out it takes a high level of execution to really get me excited! This place absolutely exceeded my expectations on every level! We tried a little of everything, and we were blown away….filet empanadas were absolutely the best I’ve ever had hands down! From the first course to dessert with a nice port, we were just in love! Service was impeccable and atmosphere was just perfect! “Had a quick lunch today and tried this place from a coworker recommendation. It's near John Wayne and the 73 freeway tucked inside a small shopping center. Inside, there's a number of tables, the counter, and an area for sauces, a green sauce and red sauce. The service was awesome, where the cashier was welcoming and explained everything including the sauces, warning that the red sauce is spicy. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate, and everything came out to a square $20. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but the plate was very large, probably enough for two meals for most people. It came with the protein, rice, veggies, a small salad and hummus. Everything tasted great, and the red sauce went really well with the chicken. The additional bread was a nice touch too. It was a very filling meal overall!Definitely check this place out!“

“I have been coming to Panini Grill since the mid 2000's. I have been to at least five locations. The quality of every component of every dish is top notch every time. They have an excellent breakfast menu at this location and Park Place. I wish I had taken photos today because there were some gorgeous plates served today for brunch. Their entrees are always great. I have tasted chicken, koobideh, flat iron steak and salmon kabobs and all are great. You can get one chicken and one koobideh with rice and a salad for a reasonable price and it will last you for days. Salmon on top of a salad is also highly recommended. They accommodate large groups and have great service.“
