“Ok, so I generally only leave reviews if I’m absolutely wowed by an experience and that’s absolutely what I got here at Gol Tong Chicken! This delightful shop is a labor of love from the proprietor/chef Gol Tong, who is also of note for being the director of several Korean films, the posters of which decorate the space in the restaurant. There is a whole sound booth in here and many other wonderful quirks - it’s really something. The reason why you’ll be back though is his food! It’s out of this world good - incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned/sauced Korean fried chicken, the best I’ve had in LA and I’ve tried all of them! Go for The Director’s Cut option on the menu and bring at least two friends to split it with, because this is an exceptionally generous portion! It comes with two sublime sauces for dipping and the whole platter is layered with fresh fruit and veggies. It’s a work of art befitting its name! Highly, highly recommended and I’m super excited to come back here again!“

I was also impressed by the incredibly competitive prices. My meal was about $13 for 5 wings and fries. Many places would charge me closer to $20. Honey garlic wings: 10/10 (slight kick, I don't normally like any spice, however I really didn't mind on these, they were very good) Side note: The sauce was just drizzled on, not covering the whole thing. I thought it was perfect, the chicken was great on its own, and it wasn't drowning in sauce. Sometimes places go overkill on the sauce to compensate for mid chicken, not the case here. I don't know how it can get better than this in LA.“

“The chicken burger was very tender and juicy. loved the pineapple set it apart from the other chicken burgers. Restaurant is super clean and organized and great service. wings and fries were a bit to crispy/dry to my liking. The Jojo fries were perfect and onion rings. “The reviews are legit! Blue Bird serves up super fresh, tasty, juicy burgers from an unassuming location. Yes, it's inside an alcohol and convenience store. There's a counter serve grill in the back where they cook up the burgers. The owner Tony was very friendly and pleasant to talk with. I felt he was genuinely interested in connecting with me as a person. That was an awesome surprise! Thanks for making good burgers and an affordable price. I paid $10 for the burger. Note: The burgers are very juicy, so keep that in mind while eating and transporting it. I wouldn't wait too long to eat it after it's prepared. Enjoy!“

“Super friendly employees. I had a big order for my husbands birthday and it was ready really quickly. We had a XL pepperoni and my family loved how fluffy the crust was and how cheese it was. We also had the potatoes and some wings. Potatoes weren't too crispy nor soggy. They were made perfect for little kids. The wings were crispy and had a lot of sauce so they weren't dry. The menu has a good variety of flavors and chicken to choose from so you're bound to find something that you like. They also play KPOP music videos which is a giant plus. The corn cheese was also delicious, very cheesy and sweet which complimented the fried chicken flavor.The fried squid was also good and a little too chewy for me but the flavor was there. The coleslaw was pretty good and subtle. It matched well with the fried chiefs and overall it was a great lunch.Customer service was great and super friendly. My wife got a diet coke, and I ordered water. The restaurant gives complimentary pickled radishes. The staff are very nice and friendly.My wife ordered the tteokbokki, whereas I got the kimchi fried rice. I was torn between the fried rice and the bulgogi poutine, but I also knew I wanted rice, so I got the kimchi fried rice. My wife and I shared our dishes. The tteokbokki was good, sweet and spicy. The rice cakes were a nice texture. The kimchi fried rice was also solid, but a bit spicy for me.Given how close it is to me, I will definitely come back in the future to try their fried chicken.“

“Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles is a place you must visit to cross off your bucket list at least once to see what the hype is ALl about. If you're visiting for the first time, I would recommend trying "Scoe's" 1/4 chicken or the "Herb's" 1/2 chicken entrée. It all really depends on how hungry you are. They are essentially the same, except the Scoe's is smaller, while the Herb's has more chicken. They both come with 2 waffles. You have the choice of white meat or dark meat chicken.Pictured is the Scoe's special, mac and cheese, and Biscuits and gravy.I recommend eating the chicken with Louisiana hot sauce, dipping your chicken in syrup, and eating the chicken together with the waffle. Their waffles are amazing. They are made with Roscoe's own private mix.You can also try their chicken with some of Roscoe's own personal hot sauce bottles. They make different ones than the go-to Louisiana hot sauce.You can buy some of their hot sauce bottles and a T-shirt to take home at their locations. I've been to two different locations, the Hollywood and South Central Manchester locations.Neither of them disappoint.I used to frequent Roscoe's regularly about 10 years back when i was in town for shows or visiting the old Amoeba location. This place hasn't changed much. Still bomb!Wait times may vary.Parking is either super easy or somewhat difficult to find. Depending on the time you are showing up, it can get very busy. There are paid parking meeters on Gower Street. Depending on the day and time, the meeters are free. You should be able to find parking around the area.
