“I cannot express how much I love a dedicated gluten free facility. It makes it so easy for my celiac husband to find tasty treats and drinks. The desserts, particularly the cookies and cupcakes are so good you would never know the difference between non-gluten free items (I say this as someone who eats non gluten free items all the time). We love the desserts so much we ordered our wedding cake from here and it turned out beautifully! We could not recommend this place enough. It's a little pricey but that's to be expected with the pricer ingredients and in being in an expensive area.“
“I really liked the food which I ordered. Had an amazing French toast. It was really unique in taste . Apart from this , ordered Benedict which was perfectly cooked .Service: 3.5/ 5Patio gives really nice vibe. However, we need to order at the counter. Weekend is really busy. I would suggest to go little early than busy timingsAtmosphere: I really liked the patio. But restaurant should have dedicated team to clean up the tables etc mainly at weekends“
“One of the East Bays best sandwich spots! and right in downtown Danville. There are two sides to Domenicos, one side is the deli and the other side is a cafe. The cafe side had a delicious French dip. My go to is always the deli side! They have a variety of fresh breads and the best sauce, their red pepper mayo. Just know they normally stay busy! So expect to wait a bit unless you order ahead. You won’t be disappointed!“
“Best bagels around. I have tried a ton of the bagel street cafes off of 680 and the downtown Danville one is by far the best in my opinion. I used to work near this location and the staff are amazing. They would remember my order and always had a joke to start the day off light. The location is cute and I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating.“
“It’s a small family business and they try hard. Everything is homemade and it’s made in the store before your eyes. we are thinking about a huge selection of pastry, some of them with some of them savory but all good. Free, huge parking lot, safe neighborhood.“
“Sodam good!!! Honestly did enjoy picking up some food from here. Tried most of the basics- stir fried fish cakes, couple kimbaps, chicken wings, tteokbokki, kimchi... their gochujang based sauces have a nice kick to them and I was loving the flavor. One thing that would be nice is if their items had a bit more included i.e., fish cakes is just that- stir fried with green/ onion would be great too! The shop is very cozy with a tiny dining area as well as takeout. And overall the place functions as a small restaurant/ mini-market for Korean goodies. Loved the friendly and prompt service and design of this place.“
“Love it, incredible quality food and a good value considering how filling it is. The vibe in this location is nice, love the plants and big open space with lots of seating. Definitely order ahead for pickup because Rooted has you order at the counter anyways and then it can be a long line and a long wait. Ordering ahead solves that and it's literally my only complaint about an otherwise really great place. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-03“
“Rumi is as good as it gets around here. Coffees are great and the food is great. My family lives coming here too. I brought my cousins here and they loved it as well. My kids love the smoothies. Smaller place, but all of the patrons are deep in their converatiin and enjoying their time at Cafe Rumi. I hope to come here for years to come.“
“I live the vegan food, coffee, and the vibes. Easy ordering for pick ups, or sit in the outdoor space (chilly in the rain but great most of the year). Plenty of parking. I come and work on my computer there as well, they have wifi (ask inside). I recommend them to all .y friends who enjoy vegan food.Vegetarian options: It's vegan and gluten free options are availableDietary restrictions: It's vegan and gluten free options are availableKid-friendliness: Can bring kids to the outdoor seating, but next to the street/parking and they'll need to be supervised“
“What a hidden gem we have found in Walnut Creek. This quaint coffee shop cranks out brilliant lattes and pastries and is now the perfect lazy Sunday hang out spot for us. Our pup loved watching all the people & their dogs walk by. The place looks like a tiny castle and they have implemented a great system to order and pick up at different spots so that it doesn't get too crowded in one place. Parking is also easy as it's right across from parking lot which is free for 90 mins.“
“Cafe 4 has such great views and space to work. I often work from home so I lose out on the sense of community vibe. I go to Cafe 4 to work on my laptop and grab my cup of dark mocha or vanilla chai. It's nice to see the view and chit chat with other folks working or just chilling at the cafe. During the holidays the three crosses church have a Christmas event for the month of December with local food trucks, shops, ice skating, and a train (free!). We go multiple times and stop by the cafe for warm drinks and their amazing fresh ginger bread cookies. It feels magical with their Christmas decor and we just love coming back.“
“Loved the burrito!!! Came here on a Saturday morning and I ended up loving the egg and hashbrown burrito I ordered. The service was great as well and fast. By the time I ordered and got my food, the place was getting really busy but it was still great“
“This is authentic Eastern European grocery shop with self made cuisine. I absolutely love cottage cheese - sirniki here. They are one of a kind and do not contain much flower.Plov is also something I recommend to try if you eat lamb meet. As to the salads like: olivie, shuba, vinegrette and beets salad still cannot compete with my Babushka (grandmother). However, I would give them a better than average credit.Overall, warm service and clean place, I enjoy coming here to get tea, honey, coffee and cakes.Average bill groceries +food $100-150, again depends on your aim.Enjoy, ?“
“Don't let the lack of a vibey vibe deter you from the tasty quick and no-nonsense items they dish up. I had the Thai Salad Wrap and it was super nice and tasty, simple and fresh. The peanut sauce was just as they describe it on their menu . . . I'll butcher it but something like, "really good peanut sauce." And indeed it was. It was light and punchy and I hope that's how it is all the time. Also, it was great service. She helped me decide between a Turkey Pesto Panini and the wrap. I appreciate that in the age of poor service/post-covid era.“
“Such a cute place for Boba. They also have bamboo straws and are now offering hot drinks (and desserts?). The inside tables are rarely full and they have a couple of smaller outside tables as well. There’s a bathroom and the background music isn't too loud or annoying.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly“
“Walked in & waited in line about 5 mins to place a to-go order. Waited about 10 mins or so for my order to be ready. Breakfast Sammie & Press Sub were both delicious. Had a Graham Cracker Latte while waiting for my order...very tasty. Staff were friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. Definitely will be returning to try more.“
“AMAZING DRINK! We got the strawberry matcha latte and it tasted really good!! Super nice owner and so sweet. This shop has a cute local vibe, and great drinks:)She handwisked the matcha and made everything fresh, the FRESH strawberries were delicious (most places tend to use frozen strawberries but not this place).“
“What can you say, typical coffee shop, excellent food, good prices.Kid-friendliness: Great kids options. French toast is superb.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat low sidewalk, easy for wheelchairs. A little tight, but doable. Sundays are busy.“
“So delicious!! Tried the chorizo empanadas and chicken salad. Seriously good. I'm definitely going back! It's also super relaxed. Plenty of space to sit, chill and eat. I went during lunch and it was the perfect way to center myself before heading back to work. Highly recommended. PS they have coffee drinks, and good beer and wine selection. I'll be heading back to try the coffee.“
“Visited December 24, 2023This coffee shop has a unique interior and is visited by many people. After lunch, I wanted to have coffee for dessert, so I looked for it in downtown Walnut Creek. It's so popular that you have to wait in line to order. There are about 2 employees making coffee, so you may have to wait a bit. It was a shame that we couldn't enjoy the inside because the tables were full. I ordered a latte, and it had swan art on it, so it was fun to see and the latte was delicious.“
“It is a very beautiful corner and very well decorated, the cafe is not the best of all but it does the trick. I recommend going if you are in the area and want to have coffee. For lunch there weren't many pastry options but the bagel I ordered was delicious. It has tables outside and inside. They also sell teapots, coffee, clothing and more branded items. In general it is a nice place.Kid-friendliness: They have games for adults and children.Wheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp to access“
“So, I was cruisin' around Concord, craving a caffeine fix. I typed in "closest coffee to me" and bam, this spot popped up, nestled between Peet's and Starbucks. Figured, why not give it a shot? It's in an office building, but don't let that fool ya—it's super easy to find and there's tons of parking. Inside, there's this trio running the show: two lovely ladies and one dude hustlin' hard. They've got breakfast and lunch options, and let me tell ya, I grabbed a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, and it hit the spot! Coffee? Decent enough for your regular joe. If you're around, swing by for sure!Parking: Parking is located directly next to the building.“
“I was in the area and started craving some sweets. This was the only bakery open at 7:30PM on a Saturday, and I'm so glad it was! I had their Basque cheesecake and it's one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It's not super sweet which was super refreshing because I usually go for super sweet desserts.I'm looking forward to coming back earlier in the day so I'll have time to sit down and try their lunch menu.“
“Beautiful ambience, open late every night, and really good coffee and alcoholic/ non alcoholic drinks! What more can you ask for? Wonderful date spot, food looks great and the people who work here are always lovely. We love Caffe La Scala! Reminiscent of a European cafe... open late every night, love it!“
“Solid place for a bite near Pleasant Hill BART station. I visited earlier this afternoon just before they closed at 3. Today was one of those back-to-back meeting days, and I had to work through lunch, so I was very hungry. I needed a bite before meeting colleagues for drinks and appetizers later in the afternoon. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad ($10). Service was friendly and prompt - I appreciate that they pulled out a fresh salad bag for me even though it was just minutes before they closed. I took the salad to go, and enjoyed it to the last delicious morsel. Will be back!“
“I recently visited Paris Baguette Coffee and was absolutely delighted with the experience. The service was outstanding, and the fact that the staff are immigrants made me feel right at home, adding a warm and welcoming touch. They are quick to serve, incredibly friendly, and their products are simply delicious. I could easily see myself gaining 10 pounds in just 2 weeks from their delightful offerings!I often go there to work, enjoying a coffee with a cheese danish. Once I set up my laptop, plug in my headphones, I can dive into my work undisturbed in the cozy ambiance. My daughter also loves to sit and study there. It's our little haven in the hustle and bustle of the city. A visit to Paris Baguette Coffee is always a treat, and I can't recommend it highly enough!“
“Got 2 oolong lattes with osmanthus jelly-- really refreshing! We like our drinks less sweet, so ordered with 0% sugar knowing the jelly would provide some sweetness. Service was great as well. After we ordered, we got our drinks brought to our table! The staff were also super patient when answering our questions about their drinks. Atmosphere is clean, and chairs are comfy. Also.. don't forget THE POPCORN CHICKEN. Usually, I'm disappointed with most popcorn chicken from boba spots (and restaurants) where it can be too doughy/ oily/ more batter than actual chicken.. but not at Teavoli. Their chicken-to-batter ratio is perfect and super flavorful. It was also seasoned perfectly where we didn't even need sauce to dip. Will order this every time we stop by“
“David and Lake Chabot are phenomenal! 1000% recommend. Took my ailing father out on a pontoon ride to celebrate his birthday, from parking to renting, and docking. Felt very taken care of and grateful for the kindness and patience. Definitely will be back!“
“Best hole-in-the-corporate-wall ever. I knew it was in a snazzy office building, but it's still unexpected to find them there y'know?? I was greeted by a man I assume to be the owner, and he was just so darn nice. He recognized nearly everyone who came in to order, and his customers took the time to chat with him too. Gives me the fuzzies. The Californian ($12): Seems like a sandwich you can make yourself at home, but sometimes (most of the time) you don't feel like doing it. Enter The Californian. Look how much turkey they gave me!! When a sandwich needs to be held together by a toothpick, you already know it's gonna be good. Ultimate Grilled Cheese ($8.25): My husband is one of those people who will say "this is the best ____ I've ever had" whenever he's hungry, and he's a grilled cheese snob. This one has made 1st place so far on his list of grilled cheeses. They are currently expanding/moving to a bigger space in the same building, which is super exciting. I will be back to try their pho on Monday's!“
“This place is great, they got nice coffee and really good empanadas, The staff is friendly and service is fast. A must try if you are in the area. They offer non-dairy alternatives for your drinks. Parking can be challenging, but that's almost expected since it's next to trader Joe's.“
“For my money, the best Banh Mi in Walnut Creek! The sandwiches are large, filling, and tightly packed with vegetables and (if you're vegetarian, like me) tofu. They're just the right spice level, the bread is pleasantly crunchy and chewy, and - just as you'd hope - are served up with quickly. The place is definitely tucked away - if it weren't for the streetside sign, I would have walked past it - but the complex is full of places to sit and enjoy your meal. Just wish they were open later!“
“We drive 25 min for this Philz to get a cup of coffee, eat a green chili burrito with hot sauce, then walk around downtown. The staff is always amazing and their coffee is on point. A bold, rich flavor every time. My fave is the Philtered Soul cold brew with oat milk. My husband gets the Aromatic Arabic with a splash of cream.Parking: There is a paid lot right behind Philz. We normally park on the metered main street, but can drive a little further for unmetered street parking as well. We never have to park more than a block away on the weekend.“
“Cute cafe with desserts, drinks, and some savory food. We tried their honey toast and it was delicious! Came with two scoops of ice cream of our choice + fruits. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was friendly. Would recommend coming by to try their desserts.“
