Our party of 3 had dinner at the Dining Room on the only evening we stayed at the property. We were seated at a table in front of large picture windows overlooking the salt flats and mountains in the distance.We ordered the Fried Pickles, Caprese Salad, Chipotle Basil Pesto Pasta, Flourless Chocolate Torte, and Prickly Pear(?) These reviews are ridiculous. The food was excellent. We had the crabcakes and then the chicken and short ribs. All were fantastic. Yes prices are high and service can be a little slower but what do you expect all the way out here..would definitely go again.

We stayed at the Inn at Death Valley and of course, there's no other restaurants around. Like captives, we are stuck with eating in the dining room. We didn't realize that reservation is necessary, and the first night, the dining room was doubly busy because their sister hotel Ranch at Death Valley was short staffed and had to close.
