“Love the food here... especially since this is literally one of the very few Mexican restaurants in Turlock that offers ground beef as a meat option. I love the Nachos Supreme (with ground beef), and the tacos are amazing! They have a nice salsa bar also. The seating is a little cramped for my liking, so I just take my food to go. No biggie. Also, I detest seeing flies in a restaurant, but this place seems to manage it pretty well. I will definitely come back! Suggestion: Please switch to Coca-Cola products instead of Pepsi-Cola. Coca-Cola is so much better tasting in my humble opinion.“

“I really don't want to write this review because i know what will happen so here is my story...I passed this taco truck on my way to pick up vax for my cattle at Lander's Veterinary Clinic a week ago. I was curious about the taco truck and asked the folx working at the vet clinic if they recommended the truck's food. They raved about it. Since I had cash I made the decision to stop on my way back home to buy some tacos and put them to the test...I'm kinda of a food snob.Here is what I ordered: (2) carne asada tacos, (2) al pastor, (1) lengua taco, and a (1) tripas taco to try out. I doubted they could do better than the taco places I grew up by in L.A..OMG! Shut the Front Door!!The tacos were so good that on my way back home to Oakdale, I ate most of the tacos. My husband is lucky he had two tacos leftover for his dinner. These were even better than any tacos I've had in SoCal!!It gets busy during lunch time so take a longer lunchbreak or get there early. I'm heading back soon and taking my boss and a few colleagues with me.Cash only business. Covered benches, no bathrooms, bring your baby wipes if you eat there.“

Each of the three were great unique flavors between the two the tortillas you can tell they put them on the griddle and then they get a little bit crispy which I think is a great texture. The salsa on the Kabasa was a little bit spicy, but it just the right place sat on a picnic bench to eat it no indoor seating. As soon as we entered we were greeted by friendly staff, and we were given a huge basket of fresh tortilla chips with two dishes of homemade salsa while we figured out our orders. We ordered a classic margarita and two tacos. The tacos had a lot of flavor and they were huge. The margarita tasted fresh, and was balanced perfectly. Plus Mariachis has a great atmosphere that every Mexican restaurant should model after. “Outstanding authentic Mexican flavor. Tastes sooooooo good! If you like tacos (and who doesn't) you MUST try the menu item called "3-Taco Birria Pulled Beef" with cheese/lettuce/tomato. I was blown away by the rich flavor. It's served with a cup of delicious broth on the side which is great for dipping. I'm always craving this meal. Another recommended choice is the deep-fried Quesadilla with marinated Birria pulled beef. This one has fresh veggies on the inside and is layered with a rich, tasty cheese on the outside. I can't stay away from this place!!!“

Have had hundreds of burritos from various food trucks across not only california but country as well and this is for sure a shinning star. I hope to be back in area again and is a stop I would go out of the way for. If you don't like spicy get salsa on side. But even in burrito it is about perfect heat level in my opinion. My only disappointment is I did not order more not because of size (that was big) but because flavor was on point and i want more.“

“If I can say one thing about Authentic Street Taco (AST), it would be that THEY DELIVERED. Literally and figuratively. We absolutely over ordered and we could not be happier about it. AST was our end of the night caterer (Wedding on 12/21/24, for reference). We chose to have the food dropped off & set it up in buffet style. There were no unhappy guests & bonus, what we took home, we enjoyed the next night! As a matter of fact, we had some leftover quesadillas (don't know how that happened), so we froze them & later threw into an air fryer & OMG it was amazing. Needless to say, we HIGHLY recommend.
