“Really cool restaurant. Old school menu. Fantastic quality and service. I had the rib eye. Train car rooms looked neat but we stayed else where but will next time.Walkability: Great park like setting.Food & drinks: Old school menu. Food was prepared perfectly. Wine was ok.“

“All the sauces are homemade! Great good, great vibes. Worth a stop for sure! Some reviewers believe it’s overpriced, hey you get what you pay for and at Yak’s you get $20 worth of delicious and authentic food. Treat yourself to a flavorful burger topped with homemade ingredients served by kind people.“
“Yaks Shack has the best atmosphere accompanied by the most amazing staff. Between their delectable food and their delicious drinks you will always find something you love here. Their music playlists and beautiful outdoor patio will guarantee your visit with fresh ambiance and all the small town charm perks. We love it here!“
“Perfect classic double cheese burger! Good meat to bun to veg ratio. No overpowering sauces or condiments. Hamburger patties seasoned to perfection and shaped just right.Everything is fresh and piping hot. Fries and sides all hit right. Support this small family business. Skip all the other burger places. You’ll find yourself wanting to come back here.“
“My husband ordered the Seared Ahi sandwich and said it was the best sandwich he has ever eaten! Was still talking about it the next day! I ordered a burger and it was very delicious as well. Will definitely be eating there again when we visit the area next time! Thank you!“
“This is my favorite restaurant in town. In Shasta there aren’t many food options, so I’m SO GLAD Crave is here for us!! I always get their veggie pupusas and veggie nachos! It’s 10x better than the nachos at any of the wanna be Mexican restaurants in town. Also, Lydia is the absolute best and I love that they have an outdoor sitting area!“
“Came here while on vacation in winter, sat at the bar and was pleasantly surprised. The menu was amazing, the server/bartender was great(I think I heard someone call him Chris?)Food was great. The side salad was beautiful and tasty. Adding beets makes a salad top notch! Had coors light on tap which is a bonus for us. TV’s playing sports and light music playing in the background. The scenery is beautiful. We will be back when we come back this way!“
“Came here for brunch and had the best experience. Our waiter (and the manager of the place), Donny, was excellent. Took us a moment to remember him (my husband had a college class with him, and he served us at another restaurant for my 21st birthday). Still the sweetest man ever. Definitely will be back to eat there next year ❤️.“
“This place is amazing! I ate here every night while I stayed at the Inn. I can’t even wrap my head around how amazing the food is. My background is in cuisine. So, I can confidently say that Sarah is a genius. Duck ragú, Peruvian chicken, braised ribs, braised lamb shank, Caesar salad….wow. I wanted to try everything on the menu. I still do. The staff is amazing. Kim ran the dinning area and bar beautifully. Thank you! See you all again soon.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“Absolutely great food here. We went for breakfast today and it was fantastic. It was so good we even went back for dinner tonight. The Szechwan wings were crispy on the outside, moist inside, and the sauce was amazing. My girlfriend had the Pad Thai which had the best flavor. I lived in Thailand for five years and had great Thai food, but this Pad Thai was extremely flavorful and unique. Definitely eat here while in town, you’re missing out if you don’t.“
“The food is exceptional, prepared by a wonderful chef. The restaurant itself is part of a Mercantile building, which was built in 1898. The restaurant and bar were built into what was formerly where the employees of this lumber company town bought all their meat. It’s very charming. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Absolutely love this gorgeous space; a true secret of the north state. We never miss a chance to spend time here even if we are just stopping through. The space feels like a complete getaway or vacation with its warm inviting atmosphere and I can't describe it but you instantly relax when you enter the town of McCloud. The staff is lovely, Jessica was very thorough with the menu and made sure our glasses were always full. We also had the pleasure of meeting chef Jules who was so kind and humble even though his food was absolutely out of this world. Everything is fresh and perfectly flavored, I wish I had taken a photo of the food but to do so would have been to ruin the experience that is the Axe and Rose Pub. We started the meal with the potato latkes and had the Buddha Bowl and the Duck Confet Burger. If you have the opportunity please stop in, you will not be disappointed.“
“Delicious food. The coffee is hot and fresh. I had the waffle with fruit. It was perfectly cooked. The flavor was amazing. The biscuits and gravy looked really good. I’m not really a breakfast person so it takes a special place to impress me.“
“Such a gem, and clearly beloved - there was a long line and quite a Wait time when we went at 9am on a Monday! Great coffee and cute setting in a little cabin. The one thing they could do is to provide reusable plates and silverware for people who eat in - would reduce waste.“
“I ordered out but the food was good and the burger was huge!! The young lady who helped me was very pleasant. Will definitely go back again!!!Parking: Small parking lot for a busy restaurant bit you'll figure out.Kid-friendliness: They have coloring books and ? crayons also have high chairs if needed.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair ♿ parking and a ramp that you can push the wheelchair up.“
“Stopped by to get coffee. The decoration of this store surprised me, and I really like it. My favorite is the board game corner. They have a big collection of board games for rent and arcade games. This is already a great hangout place for me. I ordered cafe mocha, and carne asada fries. The coffee smelled amazing, and I love the chocolate flavor. The meat in the fried was well seasoned, and the fries was very crispy! I finished it within 5 minutes even if I was not hungry! I will come back again for sure!“
