“I live on the east bay but work in the peninsula. Was craving birra tacos and found them on yelp. My husband has food allergies but was willing to try the chicken soft tacos. I brought everything home across the 92. He didn't have an allergic reaction! He loved them so much, he asked me to buy them again afterwards work the next day! “My favorite Mexican food around. Everything I’ve tried is delicious and fresh. I don’t eat meat but the fish and vegetarian options have been amazing.I love their fish tacos … fresh fish and the flavors are so fresh with mango and avocado and just the right amount of salsa, so it doesn’t cover the flavor of each ingredient which I think that’s the problem at some other places. Their aguachiles was mouthwatering and had a nice kick ?️ but they adjusted the spice level to my weak palate ? still had a kick! Their Gordita’s was my latest order. They have a vegetarian option with papas and nopales (that option isn’t available online but no problem on the phone or in person. “First time at this place. Was at the nearby Walmart, searched for Chile Verde, and this place showed up under the former name (Greenland Market). After reading reviews I felt this was the spot for me on this day. I'm glad I went with my instinct.Disclaimer, having only been here once I can only review what I had but I have high hopes for the other things after talking to someone who might be the boss.I had the Chile Verde plate and it was excellent. This is a standard dish I order at every place and use it to gauge whether I return or not. This place knocked it out of the park. Unlike most places that simply stew the pork, this place uses what must be their carnitas. It has that roasted flavor and the meat is succulent and super tender. The rice has good flavor, the salsa they provide has a kick, tortillas were tender and hot.I live about 45 minutes from this place but I will drive all the way here when I am not willing to compromise, and want great, not just good, Chile Verde.“

The waiter was attentive and food was served quickly as well. We didn't love the Asian spice on the coconut shrimp appetizer, but the Miso Black Cod and Yellowtail dinners were awesome!
