“While I have not been to Uprising Pizza's permanent location, I am fortunate enough to have enjoyed their pizza at Pacific Beach Farmer's Market and various vegan pop-ups. I can confidently say that this is some of the best vegan pizza I have tried. I typically order either the Mushroom Madness or The Uprising. Both are equally delicious and are perfectly completed with the house-made ranch and/or garlic sauce. Ricky Pesto, the Fall/Winter special, is my absolute FAVORITE! While I am looking forward to the Summer, I am also counting down the days until this pie is featured again!“
“I had the best 2 meals of my trip at Thanh Tinh Chay! I got diagnosed with celiac disease 3 years ago and haven’t had great Vietnamese food since, but this place is incredible. Every single thing is vegan and gluten free, but you would never know because it is all so flavorful and delicious. As I was eating the Banh Mi sandwich I couldn’t believe the bread was gluten free, but our lovely server confirmed that it was a homemade recipe that took over 2 years to perfect. Many other items are made from scratch in house as well! The customer service is phenomenal as well, everyone is so kind and we were treated to complimentary desserts which were to die for! Especially the creme brûlée! I wish I lived in San Diego so I could eat here weekly, but I’ll be back every time I visit!“

“We were visiting East County and I googled "Vegan Near Me," and El Veganito came up. Vegan Mexican Food! Amazing. It's just amazing food, in general. I got the California burrito, and it was delicious Mexican food and huge! One burrito was lunch and dinner. Just a note, the restaurant is in a food court and not visible from the road. Sometimes it’s hard to find good food that I can eat out and serve my family. “Still great food but a much smaller menu in their new location. I haven't found a single menu item I wouldn't have again. A variety of vegan food items are available with quick service. The ONLY downside is the LOCATION with a small, cramped parking lot. Narrow parking slots with multiple businesses make parking a serious challenge. Only saw one handicap parking spot available.“

“Note: This is a food stand that pops up at places, not sure if the physical address they list on their website actually serves food. Finally got to try this at the Vegan Oktoberfest at First Friday Night Market at Grossmont Center, my wife and I wanted to this it out when they had their weekly pop up at Sepentine Cider but that ended before we had a chance to get down there. Food was very tasty, they do a great job of creating a vegan alternative to Chinese food that looks legit and has the very similar flavors and textures, less the meat! We tried the Gua Bao Buns first, PERFECT! Not sure how they do it, but these look like almost like real pork belly, and flavors and textures were great! Definitely took the spotlight because this is a dish you wouldn't normally expect to look and taste this good. We also had the Sweet & Sour Pork, super tasty also, but it's a type of food that is more expected at a stand like this. So glad we finally got to try it, definitely worth it and will keep an eye out for their next pop up.“
