“It's really good. I came here for the first time today. I happened to see a fat beauty wearing a white animal top and jeans coming to eat with her male colleague. I saw this beauty in the parking lot and she recommended me to take a look. It looked like She is a regular customer. We left together around 7:30. She also bought a small bucket of soy milk. She forgot to ask for her contact information. I hope the boss will let me know her contact information next time she comes to eat. Thank you. She drove a black car. Benz.“
“I can understand all the bad reviews and I totally understand wanting great service and this is not an excuse for her but I would urge you all to be more understanding of her situation instead of leaving 1 star reviews that can really affect her business that happens to make amazing vegetarian and vegan food at decent prices. Yes the lady who answers the phone, packs your bento, cooks the food is loud and can be seen as rude but she literally is so busy she doesn't have time to provide good customer service. She is the only person that is answering the phone, taking orders, cooking the food, packing the bentos, cleaning, doing everything to run the place like pay bills, source her materials, do paperwork, open and close the store. She is the only ONE person there. Can you imagine doing all that as ONE person and still having the patience and time to give really good customer service and answer everyone's questions? She finally made ends meet and had enough money to hire a helper so she could have better customer service and then the price hike hit where all the veggies cost more but instead of adding $3-$8 on every thing she sells so she could still get her helper, she didn't hire one. Do you know why? So the customer (you) could still get really good bountiful bentos at a decent price. $8 a bento that's packed! A vegan burger and fries averages $18 nowadays. She also is not discriminating against you. She treats us the same way and my parents and my family and relatives have been buying from her since she opened which is a long time ago. We all joke about who's turns it is to call to ask a question. The loser has to call. Lol! My mom has buys mooncake food everything from her for many many years, a super old loyal customer and she still gets the loud abrasive treatment. Her food is great though! Good priced bentos and really really good mooncakes the mung bean with white flaky crust type. The parking is easy in the lot.The hours are not desirable, and a lot of times when she sells out of bentos she closes early so if you want to eat here you got to go early! How many vege restaurants are even in this area? This place is a really mom and pop shop with ONE person taking care of everything. I'm just imploring you to help support her, she's trying so hard every year to keep her store open all by herself and giving her 1 star reviews because you can and not thinking about the impact it has on other people's livelihood and how hard they are trying to make it work to give us food that we can't get anywhere else because it's not a huge chain restaurant is just something to think about. How do I know all this about her? Because my mom instead of giving her the thumbs down took the time to ask her about things every time she bought something. She wanted to understand where the attitude comes from because as she has always said, people aren't rude because they are, it's because they are going through something and it takes an open heart to show compassion.“
“Best Thai food I've ever had. Their burgers are great, too. Best service ever! I highly recommend the Angry Chicken, Pad Kee Mao, and Beyond Burger.Update: This place just keeps getting better. They did such an amazing job helping cater a Harry Potter Party. Thanks so much!!!“
“Best pho I've ever had in my life. There's so much in there I was full for 18 days. During this time I was transported to nirvana valhalla and Betelgeuse. I returned in our own time as if only a second had past. Damon the owner greeted me and offered my samples and told me their process for making all the delicious soy based nuggets, they have pictures of all the menu items so very easy to order. Good opportunity to use google translate and brush up on your Vietnamese. cảm ơn bạn từ tận đáy lòng“
“This is an INCREDIBLE place! I love the beef noodles, eggplants, tofu, the fish, the chicken, the desert, etc!! We had a blast eating, hanging out, chatting, and the food added so many enjoyable layers to our conversations on Oscars, filmmaking, art, and beyond! THANK YOU ALL for making our afternoon and evening and giving us energy to keep going and pursuing our dreams???☀️?Kid-friendliness: Very friendly!;)“
“Utterly charmed by this place. After eating an incredible, smoky bowl of split pea - which John (the owner) made on the spot on his gas stove behind the register - for $3.75, I bought some grocery staples and a few treats. While shopping, I marveled at the hand-packed "leftovers" stored in the wood-paneled refrigerator, on sale for a modest $1.75/portion instead of being thrown out. A business as personal and homey as Oh Happy Day is a marvel these days. I feel gratitude and respect for John and the space he's fostered. Will be back many times.“
“Delicious vegan food!! Saw the good ratings and a vegetarian friend said, "It's the BOMB!" And it really is! Tried the fried oyster mushrooms (addictive!), hot and sour soup (legit), eggplant with basil (I could eat the whole plate), lettuce cups (so tasty), and General Tso's "chicken". While not quite like chicken, it tasted good and everything was well made. The restaurant itself is spacious, with plenty of room. It's at the upstairs corner of the shopping center. The lady who served us was nice, and there's even a robot that delivers things to you while it plays Kenny G, keeping things chill. If you want good vegetarian/vegan options, House of Fortune is a must!“
“You will never know it's Vegan.. the taste is exceptional!I ordered the burger with Gouda, and a side salad..I'm no longer able to eat red meat for health reasons, but I was craving a juicy, meaty burger. Let me tell you, this hit the spot!!The "meat" was cooked perfectly, and all the fixings were on point.I also ordered a side of onion rings. The burger was definitely the star of the show.Thank you Modern Shaman.Parking: Free garage parking right around the corner, and 2 hour street parking during the day. Free after 6pm.“
“Every time that I try a new Thai restaurant, I ask for a Pad Thai. The rationale is that if that staple of Thai cuisine is not well prepared, there is little else to look for in that place. Interestingly, the menu showed the dish prominently, calling it their signature dish. And, boy, they delivered! The flavor was so well balanced, and the noodles were rightly cooked, and with the right moisture, not the mess of sticky overcooked noodles you get some times. The accompanying Chinese eggplant was well prepared, too. 10/10.The same goes for the "fish" dish my wife had. Finally, the mango with sticky rice was sublime. The service was excellent. The seating is ok though.Vegetarian options: This is a vegan place“
“I've been here several times. The nachos are great! I've also enjoyed several sandwiches, burgers, and appetizers. The California wrap had too much mustard though, couldn't taste anything else... I like that the menu is varied and there are quite a few different options to try.“
“My friend and I stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. It wasn't busy and service was super fast. All the ladies working there were really friendly and sweet. The food was amazing - we had an eggplant dish, a bitter melon dish and the fried oyster mushrooms. They do lunch specials even on weekends and it's a great deal - huge portions and we both ate so much that we skipped dinner. If I lived close by I'd definitely be a regular!“

“So glad for this place! I ordered the double vegan burger with vegan cheese, fries, and the vegan strawberry shake. I loved my meal! I'm glad I ordered the large shake and was glad I did because once my family tasted it they couldn't put it down. I wanted to try the taro and will next time.“
“This place is incredible. I was born in London and grew up in Southall, so coming here is the closest thing I have to the authentic Indian experience I had growing up back home. They stock a wide variety of foods from all cultures and countries and the restaurant attached to the store is awesome. Love coming to see what freshly prepared foods they have and their prices are so reasonable. Best Indian food I’ve had in the area.“
“I had SUCH a good experience here! A lovely small business to support rather than going to a Denny's or IHOP. The service was so great and it's a nice and homey restaurant. The food was SPECTACULAR. The crepes were so good I got an extra order to go! I've been eyeing this place ever since it opened and had no idea it got so lively in the mornings! It's a great place to take your family out to eat and their menu is quite large! We got the Paris Crepe Combo (w/eggs and bacon), Fresona Crepe, Jamaica Juice and Iced Blended coffee. I also ordered a paris crepe and hobo skillet to go and can attest to quality to-go orders as well as dine in! I will definitely be coming back here everytime I'm back in the area.“
“Had a really great dinner at Yard House before AGT! Me and my company were not from LA so we were very glad to pick Yard House before our main event that evening. Poke nachos were soooo good. As well as my main the sandwich with truffle fries. Drinks were amazing as well and would 100% come back here. The bar is most likely the highlight of yard house as it was long , glowing, and very welcoming. Drinks looked really good. Me and my company sat in a booth but it was worth the money spent included with the service , food , and atmosphere. Thanks yard house for a delicious meal before a big show!“
“We had a great experience at Namaste Spiceland in Pasadena! Affordable prices for delicious food. The staff were very friendly. Free parking lot. Bathrooms available. Indoor and outdoor seating. It's half restaurant half grocery store, so you can get some shopping done after your meal. I ordered the Do #2 combo, which comes with 3 veggies, your choice or mint or white rice, a samosa, chapati or poori (chapati is similar to naan bread but a bit thinner), papadum ( a thin, crispy, almost chip like texture), and pickled vegetables & raita (yogurt). For the veg options I got the chana masala (chickpea), the paneer tikka, and the mixed veg korma. All of these were hot and flavorful!!! We both got a Mango Lassi to sweeten the meal. It's a lot of food! We left feeling so full and happy. Thank you for a fantastic lunch!“
“I loved this place! They forgot to put tofu in the spring rolls but no matter, they were delicious. The soup broth was a little bland. I added some soy sauce which helped. The topping of fresh mint, bean sprouts, etc. made this meal refreshing. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-24“
