“Jayna offers an array of Mediterranean eats, similar to what you'd find at Nick the Greek. However, the food is 10x better! Not too salty, the Beef and Lamb gyro was extremely savory with flavor, it did not feel like the food was from the freezer. Got the combo and was MORE than enough food for a late lunch early dinner. May not need to eat later and if i do, I'll have leftovers. Definitely check them out if you want a more flavorful, fast-ish Mediterrean food experience.Huge shout out to Ali for his great service and welcoming smile!“
“Everything was incredible. Not only was the food delicious. The owner showed our 3 year old daughter all the choices and made her a custom small plate. It was very family friendly and delicious. Can’t wait to go back!!Vegetarian options: DeliciousParking: Lots of street spaces to park atKid-friendliness: They were very accommodating for kids. We had 5 kids total from baby to 3 year old. They were so friendly.“
“This is my second or third time here. I decided to go off the beach and path and try a non-dosa or non uttapam dish. I am glad I did because the biryani was excellent as was the chili chicken appetizer. Even the naan was good, it was thinner almost like a parota but yummy. The flavors really reminded me of eating in South India. And Andhra food has always been of interest and I'm so glad we have this restaurant here. Used to have to go to South Bay for the best Indian food but this place proves that to be wrong!“
“I took a lot of accidental live photos here, I would have preferred stagnant. I just wanted to capture one moment, I didn't need any of the moments leading up to that one moment. I'll smile for photos because I want to believe I'm happy in most moments of my life. Live photos are showing me that sometimes I look miserable right before smiling. Anyway, at least food doesn't change much with live photos. It looked and tasted great.“
“Great vegetarian food. Fast service, aQuiet, wonderful feel, and great customer service. Food is very tasty. I've gone a total of 5 times within the last 3 months. I do not eat out much. But when I do, I like authentic food that feels like home. Shangri-La Vegan On Linden marks the spot.“
“Delicious food. Amazing service. And great portions. We got the poke bowls; they were great!! We also got the 3 amigos special roll, green tea, miso soup, and salmon nigiri. All amazing!! Our server was nice, quick, and very attentive. Always making sure our tea was hot and we were well covered. A couple outdoor tables, and a good amount of indoor. Tons of take out action. They have cool purple rice as a signature. And the fish was very tasty! Highly recommend. There is a good sized parking lot next to the restaurant. Just be sure to park with caution; the neighboring Ace hardware brings a lot of turn over of large work trucks that have some challenges with the parking lot. This is a great spot!!Vegetarian options: Tons of veg optionsDietary restrictions: Tons of veg optionsParking: Street parking and a lot both free!Kid-friendliness: Yes!Wheelchair accessibility: A bit tight, but I believe it is Ada compliant“
“I absolutely love how this place is down-to-earth and back to basics. There aren't any options when you order, except between a large or medium portion. Everyone is given the same menu each day which rotates and features a soup, a salad, rice, and a variety of healthy vegetable dishes. There is self serve tea for free“
“This wonderful place is my other office. It's cute and cozy, has strong wifi, the staff is super friendly, and the food is delicious. It's not cheap, but they use lots of fresh, healthy ingredients and it's beautifully presented. I've recently had the winter lentil salad, the French grilled cheese, and the tomato bisque. Yum.“
“This is my favorite pizza. Also, it is my favorite gluten free pizza.Furthermore, it is my favorite vegan pizza. Finally, the people who work here are friendly and clever. My friends like Dimond Slice, too. They said, "How did you find this place?"“
“Unique salads, healthy ingredients and quite large portions. You should empty the container into a larger dish at home and stir the ingredients well.My favorite is the Vibrant salad, which has an outstandingly complex flavor mix. I still usually add the excellent lentil balls“
“We found this restaurant online and thought we would try it. I am the only vegan in our travelling group, but they all gave it a try. Everyone enjoyed the food. The soup and sandwich hit the spot on a cool day. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone whether you are vegan or not. A good, healthy choice with tasty food and a good atmosphere. It had contactless ordering and free water for every table. Clean and tidy place as well!Dietary restrictions: Full vegan restaurant and possibly gluten free options.“
“Vegan cuisine (non-religious)Ethiopian cuisine, very interesting to try. The menu has a large QR code on the transparent partition at the cashier counter, and you can see the picture by scanning it. If you have no clue, just choose the most popular area. In addition, they also have traditional staple dishes, which look like burritos but taste like cakes, and they also have rice options. The service is very homely and friendly, it looks like a three-generation family restaurant. The taste can also be adjusted, such as adding spiciness or if you don’t want onions. There are many street residents in this neighborhood, so the lights are a little dim at night. In addition, the sign at the entrance is not very obvious. Although it is a store with large floor-to-ceiling glass, it is easy to miss it at night, so open your Google Navigation.Oh, I forgot to mention: very delicious!Recommend you to give it a try!Paid parking is available on the street.Vegetarian options: Vegan (non-religious)Dietary restrictions: Ethiopian meals“
“This is so delicious!! It’s ginger makes it spicy, yet sweet. I wish I had known about this juice sooner, since I’m moving away from San Francisco:( Though the bottle is 9 oz. it’s still a substantial drink! So delicious and gives me energy!“
“We have been to Millennium several times and have never been disappointed. Their 4 course fixed price meals on Friday and Saturday are incredible. You have a large selection of each course. At $70 per head this is expensive but it is well worth it! It is important to make reservations. They also have a pizza night on Mondays and we celebrated a going away party their for the Rancho Compasion Sanctuary manager that was wonderful!“
“AMAZING vegetarian & vegan restaurant!!(⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)❤️?I’ve been wanting to visit this place since my second year in Berkeley, and I’m glad I finally did!You can tell they made their food with great care and the ingredients are yummy and fresh! The staff are very nice; the vibe inside is clean and chill. This is a great place for you to hang out with a small group of friends or come alone to recharge your mental health (I mean seriously, their food is tasty, healthy, and pretty!)I’d definitely come back very often to try out all other creative cuisines! “
“I have several favorites here but you have to do the mushu wraps as an app! The food is always great! The only downside is that the timing for food to be ready can vary wildly (10-20 mins from the expected time) each time I go to pick up. But the food is always fresh and warm.“
“I've worked in the area over 8 years and admittedly walked past this place. Today I'm glad I stopped by! Looking for a quick snack or a meal Peasant Pies will fill both. Great location with plenty of seating and friendly staff make it an ideal spot for BLD! Savory and Sweet pies in a perfect portion will give a sandwich a run for the $. Pro Tip: Try the sauces on the savory pies! Recommend and will be back.“
“SO bomb. Healthy, filling & delicious. The salads/power bowls are incredible. I love the brekkie bowl as well. The baked goods are so delicious especially the muffin and super seed cookie. I'm so happy Nourish exists in our neighborhood!“
“I have been going to Enjoy Vegetarian for many years & my favorite Chinese restaurant. You would never know you are eating vegetarian. Some of the dishes have "meat" which is made of soy, yam or wheat gluten. Much better tasting than the "impossible" meat products.“
“Nature is a wonderful vegetarian/vegan restaurant in downtown Oakland California. We have been a fan for several years. After closing indoor dining during pandemic, they are back open for indoor dining. They have always had the carry out option. We visited yesterday and had a great dining experience. We had ordered hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, spicy eggplant, chicken chow mein and spicy Thai fried rice in a clay pot. All dishes were excellent. The standouts were the sesame chicken and the soup. A friendly staff and a welcoming ambiance. Glad they are open again for indoor dining as we will be back more often in person than carrying out.“
“I came here specifically because I was craving chicken karahi and it definitely hit the spot. My partner got the madras chicken and that was also good. Both tender bite-size pieces of chicken breast, yet somehow so moist. And there's unlimited complimentary chai and hot water/tea bags. It was a mildly spiced chai. When we got here, there were only a few people, and the manager (didn't get his name!) said we could sit anywhere. After looking at the menu, we asked him his chicken recommendations. He was refreshingly honest about how some dishes weren't particularly unique or difficult to make and guided us. For spice, we got the karahi med-spicy and madras just medium. I'd say medium is pretty mild by my standards, next time I'd get spicy if I wasn't dining with my mild-spice white bf. After asking about the naan over papadum, he suggested naan but gave us papadum on the house, which was really appreciated. Mid way through dinner a large party (15+) came in, making the place much more lively and busy, but service was still good. I was glad to see it for the business :) Next time I would try some different appetizers, a lamb dish, and maybe aloo naan. Looking forward to coming back.“
“The food here was excellent. We got a vegetable momo with tofu and a tofu with mushroom & spinach to share. The momo was yummy, I was a big fan of the mint sauce. My girlfriend usually eats meat but she catered to me since they’d run out of meat momo for the night. The tofu with spinach and mushroom (No. 41 I believe) was so flavorful. Had a spice to it that really warms ya up. It was my first time having Tibetan food, what a wonderful experience. Super cute spot.Tashi & crew were extremely kind. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Berkeley.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options!“
“Mad at myself for taking me so long to realize there's such a great juice/smoothie place in San Leandro. I got the Blue Ocean and the texture is perfect. A good balance of solids and liquid. I could taste each ingredients that's in it. Now I have to try all of their other flavors.“
“The best pure veg Thai food in the Bay Area- hands down! A hidden gem in SF City.Food is amazingly good and tastes very authentic. Jain options can be customized from the menu. Owner is well versed in jain items and is very polite and helpful.Dietary restrictions: Jain Options available“
“Being a Gujarati and vegetarian, Besharam is a go to for us. It is one of the very few restaurant with veg tasting menu. However, we went ahead with a La carte menu.We started our dinner with mango lassi, chai and cocktails. The cocktail was mild, but the chai made me remember the tea stalls of Ahmedabad. I really loved the taste and the smell of cardamom coming from chai. For appetizers, we had drunken panipuri and pav bhaji puff. The panipuri was amazing however the name might be misleading. It is not at all drunken panipuri. They just add a drop of gin which is very hard to even taste. I wanted to try it by name but be aware it is very misleading. The Pav bhaji puffs were amazing with melt in mouth puff pastry. For mains we ordered, maska paneer, malai kofta, cheesy garlic naan and roti. The paneer was fresh and soft just like homemade paneer. Koftas were amazing. The roti was more like thepla. And for dessert we had Shrikhand Cheesecake. The cheesecake for super luxurious with perfect sweetness. They had added blueberry compote on the top which I think was unnecessary. It was not going with the flavors of the cheesecake. The overall experience was amazing.“
“Blue Nile was my first taste of Ethiopian food, and I'm glad I tried it! The Meat Combo Platter was a hit! The Doro Wot, a traditional chicken stew with its rich and spicy sauce, was a standout, perfectly showcasing the bold flavors of Ethiopian cuisine. The Alicha Yeb'ge, a mild lamb stew, offered a delightful contrast with its aromatic blend of spices. And the Beef Bamia, with its tender beef simmered alongside okra and tomatoes, was a savory delight. The only hiccup was the slow service during lunchtime. We were the only ones eating inside, and it took a while for the server to bring water and menus. Plus, we waited another 30 minutes for our food. They could work on being quicker and more attentive. But despite that, Blue Nile is a great spot to explore Ethiopian flavors.“
“One of the best places for South Indian cuisine in India, and it does not disappoint here as well. Exceeded expectations in every regard, great food, delicious taste, amazing service, and a cozy atmosphere. All in all, a great experience, cannot recommend enough!“
“Affordable, high-quality, freshly-made, and generous portions. I stop by here often when I want something healthy for lunch. I typically get the falafel wrap, comes with a side salad. Also they have a large selection of fun drinks like kombucha, flavored sparkling water, and probiotic sodas!“
“Brilliant little hole in the wall with amazing vegetarian Chinese food. They also have a busy take out counter for dumplings and puffs and such. If you are vegetarian, this is your Chinatown destination.Vegetarian options: You can't go wrong on anything here.“
“Such a tasty treat! We went for dinner and had the Samusa, Tea Leaf Salad, and some veggies. Everything was so delicious. The server was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Definitely will go back. It’s also affordable.“
“I like the sizzling rice soup with extra broccoli. Too many good options to recommend off the lunch menu. The lunch includes a cup of hot n sour soup plus a vegan egg roll and rice. The general Tso's chicken tastes a little better when it cools down. I also like the mushu vegetables with tofu instead of eggs.“
“Their noodle selections were really great! The only one I wouldn't recommend is the pad see ew, just because it's so comparable to anywhere else. It's a bit narrow and crowded inside, definitely a wait time. We ended up sitting at the only table outside but it was a bit chilly and ended up taking it to go. They were very nice though!“
“The Timatim Fitfit was plenty good, and they have quite a good vegetarian section of the menu. It arrives on Ethiopian time, so don't be in a hurry, but that's on par with all the other ones I've tried.Take my service stars with a grain of salt since it was a weekday and there was only one waiter for the 6 or so tables that were there. Maybe it was bad timing or maybe one will have better luck on the weekend. I personally absolutely hated the music videos they were playing, so that's why I didn't like the atmosphere, but maybe other people enjoy that as part of their experienceParking: There's a cutout from the street in front of the restaurant but it's shared with all the other stores and thus almost always full. You can go around the corner and find some street parking“
“Does well as delivery. Garlic noodles with extra chicken was tasty, not overwhelming or overly greasy. The extra chicken portion was generous. Egg rolls were crisp snd flavorful. Thai iced tea with oat milk hit the spot, is not overly sweet, and I really appreciate that PraJam has 3 milk options to choose from (Half & Half, Oat, and Coconut). The weakest link was the mango & sticky rice: tasty, good and generous mango, but the rice was not as sticky as I like it. Rice also could have used more sesame seed topping, but it was still yummy. Prices were sometimes a little high (nearly $11 for mango&sticky rice), but not terribly so. Glad this place has opened in my neighborhood.“
“Quiet night with all the trick or treaters about and, I guess, no one gives out sushi on Halloween. Their loss, my win-- I had the sushi bar to myself and the full attention of a very talented and friendly sushi chef. I chose some things (nigiri, rolls) and all was fresh, super tasty, well prepared and nice portions. The miso soup was tasty but lava hot! I also asked for and enjoyed some recommendations by the chef and will definitely be back for more!“
“I went here last night with my partner and my daughter and I’m so glad we did because it was awesome! Honestly the best Chinese food we’ve have since moving to the area 3 years ago. Everything is super fresh. My daughter ordered vegetable fried rice and there were actually hearty and fresh veggies in it! Im a vegetarian and ordered the “imitation” sweet and sour chicken. Normally im not big on fake meats but I’m so glad I got this because it was absolutely delicious. My very meat loving partner even liked it. The staff is extremely welcoming and very efficient. We will absolutely be back here and highly Recommend you try it!“
“I ordered food from here on New Years and it was absolutely delicious. I came back tonight and was super satisfied with the service. The new owners are really nice and make great sushi. I definitely recommend coming here and trying the dragon role. It was amazing!“
“It's sad that the atmosphere is so important. This is a no frills sort of place. The bathrooms are super clean ( with really pretty tile) the kitchen is spotless, and the food is spot on. I had the mole plate, my husband had a burrito, and we shared the fried fish taco. All were delicious. The mole especially was very good. Full of flavor and not sweet! Go for the food and nice people!Vegetarian options: I saw a few veggie options and there was a vegan flan.Kid-friendliness: No frills place. They have kids menus and the people there were very welcoming to those who had kids with them.“
“DAMN GOOD MEXICAN FOOD! I don't care what anyone says in the reviews, anyone giving this place less than a 4.5 does not know what they are talking about. This place is literally one of the only good places to eat authentic Mexican food. Their regular burritos are 10.95 and they are literally the size of other restaurants that charge you 13$ for "super" burrito and them shi be nasty. Bomb ahh asada fries, the guacamole is so good, it has a perfect mix of lime, pepper, salt and avocado. The tacos taste the same as the ones do in mexico, you want authentic? This place has tacos that are literally the same thing that they sell in Mexico, literally where tacos come from! (Specifically the ones from guadalajara, those are the ones it reminds me of). Burritos are fantastic. The asada is the best from every other taco place. If you want to find a better place you have to drive at least 30 more minutes south/southwest. This is an honest review by a real Mexican, not a gringo that only knows shell tacos and chimichangas.“
“Came to San Francisco today wanted some good Chinese food so I found this spot call mandarin house I order the chicken chow mein and some spicy chicken I told Them I wanted it extra spicy in 10 mins they brought me a huge plate of chow mein the food was so hot while I was eating it that's how fresh it was and the chicken was so spicy I had a good experience prices are fair for the sizes of plate especially in San Francisco I hope this was very helpful to all.“
“Tha Peruvian Burrito is my favorite option along with any juice on the menu. God is good and these guys were rated 26 in tha world. Right down the street for the ultimate dining experience the Best Kitchen and Its so casual Love these people for being so fantasticVegetarian options: Juices out of this world. Food out of this world. Service out of this world.Thank you for setting the bar on what a kitchen is supposed to be. Love it❤️?✌️“
“i’ve been here three times now and i can definitely say, this place makes great burritos! i love the carne asada special burrito but tbh the chips could be better. the horchata is really good, the workers are friendly, and the prices aren’t as bad as they could be. super convenient location, great vibe inside, and a fair amount of indoor seating. i came here for my 19th birthday dinner and really enjoyed it.“
“SO good and so many vegetarian options. We brought 4 kids with and they all found foods they liked (mostly buns and dumplings).Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options, including tofu, meatless beef, meatless chicken and meatless fish.Kid-friendliness: The kids really loved the dim sum.“
“Came here on a Thursday evening and it was pretty empty. We got the angel wings as an appetizer since stuffed wings seemed like an interesting concept. They were pretty good. I also got the Kao Soi as my main dish which is my go to at Thai places. I didn't love the initial sweetness in taste (the spicier flavors came as an aftertaste) but it was still pretty solid. Overall, I would return.“
“Walia had delicious Ethiopian food that was full of flavor. It was my first time trying Ethiopian and I was not disappointed. The injera was perfectly sour and complimented the veggie sampler very nicely. The server was attentive and gave us a recommendation on what to order. The ambiance was friendly and welcoming, I'll be back soon to enjoy some more dishes!“
“Huge variety of salad toppings make this place great for any night of the week. Also, their employees are great. I left my drink on the counter just before closing time and one of the employees ran a block to return it to me. Great place to grab a bite and their customer service is amazing! Oh, and the toffee cookie is so delicious!“
“Staff is super friendly, I wanted to take home a day old pizza but couldn't fit it in my backpack and the lady was nice enough to cut it in half and wrap it for me. Worker owned coop. Pizza is delicious.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
