I was disappointed quite frankly. I saw the place is black owned and black employees cooking, serving, etc I figured the chicken, mac and cheese would be fire. Instead, the chicken was not spicy and seasoned as the other Fontana location and the mac and cheese had barely any flavor or cheese. Will not be coming back. The mashed potatoes was very good. That was the only highlight.Very nice service though.
The best fried chicken I have had in forever! Sides were also great collards especially, but also potato salad and Mac and cheese. Shrimp were crispy and perfectly cooked, and hot sauce just the right mix of spice and vinegar. Service was friendly and helpful, offered suggestions as well as checked multiple timesIf we needed anything despite this being a counter service restaurant. We were so excited we took jambalaya and gumbo home for later, and can't wait to come back again...read full review
