“In my household, Salvadoran food is comfort food. After trying several Salvadoran restaurants in the area over the past few years, El Palmar has become our favorite. The restaurant is always clean and the food is very authentic. It is a comfortable place to have a sit down dinner (conversations don't have to compete with televised futbol games, which is a real plus) and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is very consistent - although each pupusera will prepare her pupusas in her own way; but the ingredients will always be the same! Pupusas revueltas de maiz is a family favorite, but I still prefer a simple frijole y queso de arroz pupusa. Each table will have salsa for your pupusas, but make sure that it is the darker squirt bottle - the hottest! Because the other salsa won't be hot at all. And if you are a güero like me, it might be assumed that you want the mild salsa. The 'curtido' is always excellent - and I highly recommend that you always put it on top of your pupusas! El Palmar serves authentic Salvadoran horchata as well as authentic tamales salvadoreños. All these dishes and drinks taste their best when they are fresh so take some time and enjoy it all on the premises. If you're going to take something home, take a salvadoran quesadilla home with you. There is often a delivery around 4 pm. “This experience is based on take out and delivery.I have now ordered twice from this establishment for fairly large orders needing to feed 100 people. Both times the staff has been very communicative, on time in delivery, and presented us with great quality food.We have ordered a variety of different pupusas which included; revueltas, chicharon, queso, queso con loroco, and bean &cheese. All have great flavor and size, but my personal favorites are the revueltas and chicharon ones. The ratio of the filling and the masa is pretty even, you get duo flavors in every bite.The food also included both mild and spicy salsa and large quantities of curtido. The only concern I received was that the spicy salsa was not spicy enough!I will definitely be ordering from them again, not only was the food authentic and delicious, but also the customer service was exceptional.Parking: Parking is located at the back of the restaurant.“

“I was looking for a place that had quesa Birria tacos and found this location on Yelp decided to give it a try. Restaurant is ran by a husband and wife. Wife was very welcoming and offered suggestions. We were not disappointed. Ordered the quesa Birria tacos and potato tacos. Both were made fresh with good flavor. Quesa Birria tacos included consome. Location is tiny but they offer outdoor seating. Parking is located at the back of restaurant. Also keep in mind location is cash only! Will be back in future to try other items.“

“Really good portions. I got the combo number one. Everything was good everything was tasty. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. The service was excellent. They do have bathrooms. They also have a lot of agua specs and custom pastries that they make in house. Highly recommend. I will definitely come here again.
