“Surprisingly good place in a nondescript strip mall. Everyone in our party of 7 was satisfied. My kids loved the chicken tamale plate. I had tacos of lengua and asada that were both really good. The salsas and chips were yum, especially the smokey red salsa. Rice and beans were on point. The fish taco was slightly bland, but the freshness and homemade everything, including tortillas, more than made up for that. I would definitely come back to try more.“
“Fiesta veg burrito was amazingly delicious! The crazy fries were decent but not as “crazy”.The Jamaican hibiscus tea was very refreshing!Service was good and quick. The menu is creative and offers many options. The restaurant is spacious.Would recommend their fiesta burrito.“
“RATING 5* or of 5* NOTE I'm picky. I live walking distance from the #1 rated Mex Eatery in Humboldt County. It was a fluke that I ate at Aztec Grill. If they had their own building with nice seating & more dishes, they'd be serious competition for #1. POSITIVES I was impressed. You can see your food being made. All the staff looked like older ladies, who had lots of experience making this food. Enjoyed watching them get after each other in Spanish. It's a show. LoL NEGATIVES Struggled with English . Can't take a date. They should have a classier place to sell their yummy food. SERVICE Super Quick . Order-Gas-Food-Eat (no wait) They should have a drive-thru. AMBIANCE Fast Food / Market Environment FOOD Authentic, Delicious LOCATION Gas Station ADVICE * Get an old fast food eatery building. * Put in a glass wall, where customers can watch their food being cooked (for entertainment & keeping staff honest). * Decorate in authentic, old style Mexican style. * Keep the same kind of staff, so have more variety of dishes & have several vegan options (vegan cheese & veggie meats). * Gives you a larger demographic. You want health nuts & tourists (Humboldt main tourists are health minded.) There are 200+ National Redwood Forests & Redwoods are in 2 places in the World. * Make the environment feel rich, warm & inviting. * Do a classy drive-thru that has a covering that looks like it's part of the building. You don't want it to look tacky.“

“I always enjoy Las Cazuelas. The food, service, and atmosphere are always fantastic.I highly recommend the Long Island Iced Tea, the original Margherita, the super quesadilla with barbacoa, and the enchilada Verdes. My son highly recommends the chimichanga.“

“One of my favorite places to eat when I’m in town when I lived in the area, I would go there all the time because it was close to my house.I’ve never been disappointed with the super burrito or the rice and beans and quesadillas are very filling.“
“We visited for the first time for my birthday and I was delighted with my experience. The atmosphere was comfortable and interesting in a very pleasent way. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. It was authentic and very well prepared. The portions were generous to say the least. The menus selction is very large and features a wide variety of seafoods offered in many styles. The terrestial offerings are just as numerous and vaired. The aqua fresca was fresh made and delicious. The enitre meal was excellent! We will be returning often with friends and family.“
“We ate lunch at this cute little spot in Ferndale today. We'd heard good things about it and we wanted to give it a try. We were party of 4 with. Baby. We got seated right away and drink orders placed. The menu isn't just our typical Mexican menu. It has some interesting twists like carnitas sliders and lettuce wraps with chicken mole. At our table we had a burrito, steak fajitas, a tostada and I had the sliders. It came pretty quickly which was good with a tired baby. I was impressed that they make fresh tortillas and everything was really quality. I didn't expect to find such good Mexican food in this little pastoral town but I'm glad we did!!“
“Love this food truck! It has become a weekly taco Tuesday spot after our discovery of their street tacos...mmmm...carne asada...mmm! They also make a spectacular chili relleno which you don't often see at a food truck. It is puffy and cheesy but not greasy. Better than most brick-n-mortar establishments!“
