DeFalco Family Wines And Foods Winery •
10625 Ellis Ave Unit B, Fountain Valley

“We went for the lasagna and meatballs and stayed for the wine!DeFalco Family Foods and Wines is a wonderful add to our great little city of Fountain Valley, we’re so excited you’re here! We visited last Saturday and had a fabulous time wine tasting. Anthony and Mike were such warm, friendly, gracious hosts and educators on the family history, wines and delicious food items. We made our way through most of the wines and identified some favorites (Barbera, Sangiovese, White Wine Blend and of course Bubbly Bubbly Rose!) and purchased a few bottles to take home along with some meat lasagna rolls, tortellini, meatballs and sauce. We had such a wonderful time we’re ready to go back again this Saturday! The wine tasting room provided a very comfortable atmosphere, cute red and white checkered table cloth, good music and we loved the mural paintings on the walls, the feel is so inviting.Gus, you have a wonderful gem with DeFalco Family Foods and Wines.“

“Tldr; great food, great experience. Highly recommended. We were there for the spring '24 menu and chose to get the sommelier pairing with it.The paired wines brought out the flavors in each of the dishes in unexpected ways (I'm not very familiar with wine but with how well this was done it's impossible to miss). The biggest change was the Moscato with the lemon olive oil dessert. The cake was understated... until I took a sip of the Moscato and all the flavors popped (which surprisingly is not technically dessert wine but worked really well).I got the Porterhouse, not the fish option, so I can tell you the steak was delicious, but can't speak to the fish. The biggest surprise of the night was the Blue Crab Agnolloti. I could eat a bucket of those. You can see the presentation was great (for all the dishes not just the one in the pics).Look, this is a great meal and the price will reflect that, but it was worth every penny. I've talked about the food already and hopefully got across that it was very good... but somehow the atmosphere of the place and the service were at least as good if not better. The wine cellar in the basement is where you start the night and it really sets the tone. Amazing wine options and a good whiskey selection (which is more my style) as well as some tasty charcuterie. The servers are professional, very knowledgeable, and pleasant. We even got to go back into the kitchen to meet the food wizards and get a peak behind the scenes. If you can swing the bill, I highly recommend it.“

Pali Wine Co. Winery • $$
500 S Anaheim Blvd unit c, Anaheim - 8.78 miles

“I had no expectations when I first entered Pali Wine. I walked in thinking "I'll leave after a glass or two" but my thoughts were rerouted when the Saturday evening atmosphere stole my attention. Pali Wine has a nice set up of tables, bar seatings, arm chairs, and a sofa. The service at Pali Wine is friendly. They weren't hovering, and they also weren't neglectful. Came to check on us at appropriate times. We ordered the seasonal flight and cheese board. Both made for an easy share with my company. We enjoyed one of the tastings and decided to then get a glass each of our own. Unbeknownst to us - they have a live dj play a set on the weekend. It was the icing on the cake. The dj played the best old school hip hop tracks and mixed in some newer selections. The location for Pali Wine also couldn't be better. It is directly across the street from the Packing District and nestled between two restaurants all interconnected. Have a drink at Pali Wine and tacos next door. They all share the same building space and no walls divide the businesses. Well thought out plan. Overall, a wonderful experience. 10 out of 10... highly recommend.“

Seal Beach Winery Winery •
3387 W Cerritos Ave, Los Alamitos - 9.84 miles

“I was getting together with my siblings for a Galentines and wanted a wine tasting experience but local. I found this winery on yelp. Affordable prices, location, and ambiance brought us in. We visited on a Saturday night at 7pm and loved how festive the place was. Lots of seating in the front of the place but we preferred the back for more privacy. We ordered a round of tasting $15/person, one round is 6 (1 ounce) pourings. I really enjoyed the wine descriptions, attention from staff and some complimentary tastings and chocolate covered almonds. It was a good experience but I felt rushed to leave. Closes at 10pm but began getting comments at 9pm to start closing up. First comment asking us if we wanted another bottle of wine but then answering the question by saying we didn't have enough time to finish it. Second comment was about handing her our carafe so she could rinse it although it still had wine in it. Another comment about how we were the only customers left. We left at 940 and they closed right after. Lights off at 940. I enjoyed the wines, I liked the service and I like supporting local business. I'm not sure when you'd come in to get the full experience but it wouldn't be on a Saturday night at 7pm.“
