“this is my second time trying Avalos kitchen taco truck & needless to say it was devoured I love their food & their horchata highly recommended you guys give them a try they are most definitely a 10/10 my new go to ! I tried their quesadilla con pollo on my first trip there & it was fire I had a supreme burrito de asada no tomato & light beans My boyfriend had a supreme burrito de asada con todo10/10 customer service I asked for them to cut my burrito in half & they did just that no hesitation it took not even 5 mins to get our food i am very happy & will be coming back very soon to try their tacos . I forgot to mention it was $25 for both of our burritos in my opinion it was very much worth it ! :)“
“Great place. Coffee was hot, fresh, and quickly refilled. They say the eggs are cooked in butter, and I believe them--you can taste it. Their waffles were perfect. It's some of the best diner food you can get, period. My buddy got a chile verde omelette, and it was flavorful without being too spicy (you can get a fried jalapeño if you want it spicier, which she did.) Highly recommend!“
“Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the grilled basa (fish) with rice & grilled vegetables. It was perfectly fixed & excellent tasting, a lot more fish than I was expecting! Very clean diner, helpful & friendly staff. Would easily go again & have already recommended it to others ♥️“
“First timer here for my sister's birthday celebration and the experience was phenomenal! Food portion was smaller than expected but they were beautifully presented and delicious. Cudos to the server and other members who catered to our needs. They were very friendly and customer service orientated. I am definitely returning for round two!“
“I had never had authentic gorditas so I was really excited to try them, and had a great experience backed by a family-owned legacy. The food is delicious and there are lots of fillings. With so many restaurants doing the same thing it is nice to try something new - go and try for yourself!“
“Castillo's is very popular with the Spanish community of fresno. No hidden truths about this restaurant. The food reflects the success and goal of the future. While shops are closing, Castillo's has a strong following. Parking is the only negative point of this wonderful Latino restaurant.Pick a time to show up there during non busy hours .“
“This is probably my new favorite taco spot. The workers were all very friendly and welcoming. The place looked clean and the most important part, the food was really good. I went for the .99 tacos and ended up ordering more. Asada burrito, more chicken tacos and a asada quesadia and regular quesadia. The smoked asada was very good. The chicken was seasoned well so was everything else. They have three different hot sauces and all were very good. I recorded a video for YouTube ( Doodwithacru ) and I'm very excited to upload it. We will definitely be back.“
“We primarily order via Doordash, sometimes order pickup, and have gone in a few times, no matter what... *chef's kiss*! The quesobirras haven't been seeming as crunchy lately, and of course it's super greasy, but the flavors are spot on!We LOVE SOUP, and they have so many! Chile relleno soup= delish, albondigas= delish. Burritos, guac, salsas, tacos, tostadas= all delish. Asada nachos....... My body almost left my body delish. Highly recommend Robles Mexican Grill, especially the soups. nom nom nom nom.I took a star off on the service not due to in person experience, but delivery. It's doesn't matter what you write in the special request box, DO NOT expect it to be followed. Call in and ask if they will do it maybe. Also, they give you one little bag of chips, even if you request extra chips and say you are willing to pay more for more chips. I don't really care about this, but my husband will literally skip ordering from here simply because he wants more chips. :/It seems the new location doesn't carry as many soups, which is a huge bummer as I love their caldo de res.We were so disappointed when they stopped delivering to our area, but they have a new, closer location apparently, YAY!“
“I sent my husband out to get tacos at a new spot that we had discovered only to find that they weren't there for the night and my husband stumbled upon this one on the way and decided to give it a try. He said there was a line and they were pretty busy and only 3 guys working the truck but boy did those 3 workers worked fast. My husband got his food almost instantly I was surprised when he said he was on his way home. The food was still nice a warm. We ordered Tripas, asada and birria tacos. Everything was delicious! the tortilla weren't greasy nor hard like other places. This truck is definitely a hidden gem. They also didn't skimp out on the meat and it was flavorful. The birria tacos were loaded with meat and so heavy the consommé was yum! They provided plenty of condiments. Highly recommend!“
“The guys are extremely professional and super nice, the food is 10/10 delicious! Whatever that black sauce is fire kiddos enjoyed every bite! the shrimp cocktail, ceviche and shrimp tacos were all so authentic and succulent ! Easy to get to, more than enough parking and quick service“
“The tacos are the best we've ever eaten. We have been long-time customers, at least 30 years, and the food is always consistent and wonderful. The chili Relleno is also great!Parking: We usually have to park on a side street and walk. My husband is handicapped, so if he can't walk far without falling, I drop him off at the door and go park.“
“We moved here about 3 months ago and ive been on the search of good chilaquiles. I had found a spot but this place takes the crown!! BEST food by far!! My boyfriend got the asada quesadilla and just WOW!!La comida mas rica que hemos comido en Fresno!!“
“In this place they sell a delicious shrimp snack! They usually always have a waiting line. The place is always clean and they have a tent and tables outside the premises to eat there. It is a small restaurant that is always tended with friendliness. They have a soda machine! Sauces and utensils are available to the customer at all times. You can eat there or order to go. Free parking is available. So you won't have a problem finding parking! They have enough staff in the kitchen, you can see them working from the window. The wait time for the food in our case was quite short. The waiters are always attentive to clean the tables that are vacant at the moment, this because they are always receiving customers! On the other hand, the asada tacos are double tortillas and are a good size to take into account when ordering. I recommend the Veracruz-style shrimp because they are delicious, the sauce is spicy but they are delicious to eat! These come with flour or corn tortillas depending on your preference. You can find the menu right at the top of the window and you can choose your order from there.“
“My point off view, if you want authentic Mexican food cooked from scratch and almost tastes as good as my cooking come here I'm actually having them cook for my granddaughters Sweet 16 birthday which is going to cost me hundreds of dollars and if I can interest them to cook for 100 plus people believe me they're top-notch and I speak from a lot of years of experience my mother was a professional cook and out of eight girls I took after her when it comes to cooking and if I trust anybody to cook for my granddaughter because I will be there present with her it's this restaurant Amen“
“Seems like it might be a family business, the host was super friendly and helpful, the food tasty and plentiful, and the prices reasonable for the times. I even split the Enchilada plate into two plates and they only charged me for one plate and a $2 side of beans and rice! Bent over backward to make our experience a good one, will be back!“
“Food is very good. Authentic flavor. Service is okay. Lacks in cleanliness. Tables are cleared but, not cleaned. I have rated a 5 all the way down in the past. I hope the cleanliness improves.Vegetarian options: Potato taco but is fried in the oil with the meat tacos“
“You MUST try this restaurant!! I have no words to describe how surprised and good the food here is! I felt like I was eating in my friends home, you could taste the love in every bite. The layers of flavor are unlike any Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The service was good and the place is quaint, not fancy but welcoming. I had the shrimp Al La Diabla and the heat snuck up on you but not in a overwhelming bad way. My daughter had the shrimp and octopus cocktail and my husband had the Vericruzana. Both are incredible. I can't wait to go back.“
“I came here from Bakersfield to buy my coworkers some breakfast burritos. I read solid reviews about this place, so I thought I'd give it a try. While waiting on my breakfast burritos, Bertha gave me a cup of Birria. This was a very nice gesture. This is the first time trying goat Birria and I must say, this is the best Birria I've ever had. Very tasty and right blend of spices. And then, Fernando started talking to me and we shared stories about our cultures and how many similarities we have between the Hispanic and Asian cultures. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. I eventually got the breakfast burritos, they were huge and very good as well. I give this place five stars for food taste and quality. Five stars for customer service. And five stars for being so personable and having genuine conversations to build relationships with their customers. I can't wait to come back to Fresno just to eat here. Great job to this mom & pop restaurant!“
“If you tired of(President Biden, high inflation on everything)And your just getting by,With your hard earned savle fake money.(. “My first time eating here. The service is great. Food came.out quickly. I love that they have a variety. The vegetarian pho is the best I had. Flavor is spot on. Try the lemon grass chicken bahn mi! The portions and price are great. Finally a place that doesn't dry out the pork chop. The fried tofu was perfect and the sauce enhanced the flavor. Highly recommend!“
“Comfy and small place, only 5 booths and chairs at the bar, not big at all. But the food and service is always great, not a flashy place if that's what your looking for.50+ years in service and don't see it showing down anytime soon.“
“Man this place is not the most aesthetically pleasing on the exterior or interior. This is the definition of a hole in the wall that is amazing. The service was like going to a distant Tia and cousin. They were super nice and made it feel chill and homey. We had frickin bomb food! I am so satisfied with the meat, green salsa, and fresh tortillas. My husband slurped that whole horchata DOWN“
“I was driving through Fresno and looking for a place to eat. I decided on this place and I was not disappointed. I had the garlic shrimp and it was incredible. The tortillas are made in house and are so good. The salsa is great too. The service was fantastic. Really can't go wrong with this place.“
“This place is CLEAN! Fresh ingredients and beautiful atmosphere thanks to the wonderful staff. Felt welcome the second I stepped in. Homemade tortillas are on point and presentation of those delicious grilled shrimp tacos, legit. Matgarita was simple, strong, and made with love. Small fenced patio for well-behaved 2-4 legged creatures AND a full bar. Can't go wrong with this place! If I'm back in town, this will be my first stop.“
“Really delicious food great prices, if your looking for a great plate of food this is the place big plate lots of big portions very tasty. They have small plates if you like just a small portion to go with your main dish. We had a small bowl of menudo so delicious great portion.about size of cup. They have menudo every day. Service was great and fast so friendly it's like eating at home. Homemade tortillas, salsa's they have from beans papa's nopales to steak. This is more of an eating at home atmosphere. Our family from Chicago is down they loved this place.Kid-friendliness: Very good with kids joked around with themWheelchair accessibility: We really needed accessibility it was great easy to come in from the back door. We had a walker and a scooter they were very helpful.“
“Love it so polite and for bowls so fresh and prices can't go wrong thanks guysParking: If the other stores aren't open there's parking if not you might have to park behind the battery placeKid-friendliness: Lots of options“
“Safe place for good Mexican food after painting the house all day food is good . I'm a fat Mexican so I'm critical on Mexican food and this place is a safe place to get Mexican food on this side of town . Not the best in the 559 but good either way.“
“What a magnificent little hole in the wall. This place had wonderful service. The food was delicious and probably the BEST Chilaquiles Verdes O Rojos I’ve ever had. I asked for the spicy and it delivered. 100% recommend. If I ever come through Fresno again, I will definitely stop here for breakfast.“
“5 stars for the chilaquiles. Oh man. Yum. Not too spicy. Salsas were good. Tacos weren't life changing but still good. There are some funny upcharges like I think my friend was offered prime rib something for like double the price haha. Most other stuff is reasonable. Can get busy, but wait time isn't insane. Parking lot sucks though haha.“
“La Elegante Mexican Restaurant is a family-owned and operated restaurant in Fresno, California. It was founded in 1984 by Celia and Benito Arenas, who moved to Fresno from Los Angeles with their five children. The family started out with a food truck, which quickly became popular for its authentic Mexican food.In 1993, the Arenas family opened their first brick-and-mortar restaurant in the heart of Fresno's Chinatown. The restaurant is now run by the Arenas children, who continue to uphold their parents' commitment to using fresh, local ingredients and serving high-quality Mexican food. La Elegante is known for its wide variety of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and other Mexican dishes.I recently had the opportunity to visit La Elegante and try their al pastor tacos. The tacos were made with fresh, juicy al pastor and served with onions, and cilantro on warm corn tortillas. The tacos were absolutely delicious!Overall, I was very impressed with La Elegante Mexican Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend La Elegante to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food in Fresno.Follow me on IG @hungry_dude_usa“
“The food and service here never disappoints! I got the breakfast molcajete and the portion was big for 1 person. The lime margarita was great too for this warmer weather in the Central Valley. The complimentary salsa to the chips was very good. I enjoyed my meal and time here and will definitely come back!“
“Great service and bomb food. I'd it wasn't in the Valero gas station it would be perfect but I'm not gonna knock them any stars cause the service is always a 10/10.Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible and they are courteous to handicapped ♿️ people“
“Seen this place on Google Maps and decided to try this taqueria with my girlfriend and i got the trendy birria tacos and it was delicious I loved the sear on the tortillas with the nice crunch by its meat juice and the tacos were just PACKED with meat and the consome was phenomenal and the horchata was delicious also and my girlfriendloved her asada/tripa/birria taco combo. Service was great with friendly employees and was nice enough to let me take a picture of the menu. But just to let u know u can leave your dishes on the table when you're done eating. Definitely coming back??“
“Stopped in tonight for the first time to get the Saturday online special. Wow!! The food was delicious! We will definitely be eating here again! I highly recommend the Citrus Marinated Chicken Taco and the Chicken Tomatillo Tamale. It was gluten free AND the flavor was great!!Dietary restrictions: I rarely eat out due to gluten allergy but felt comfortable eating here after seeing that most everything (if not all) is gluten free.“
“THE ORIGINAL DON PEPE !If you are from this neighborhood spot when they first opened up 27 years ago then you will know that the original name of this place was named Don Pepe ProductsAll the others around Fresno are not . Great food and they now sell mariscos“
“The tacos were the best tacos Ive ever had...and I'm Mexican. I ordered one adobado and carne taco, and a carne asada burrito, with just meat cheese and beans. It was so freaking good. The tacos stole the show though....oh and the salsa was delicious. Best tacos in Fresno.“
“If you're interested in trying a new spot to eat breakfast, this spot is it. I added 2 eggs over easy to the Bistek Plate, and it was the best breakfast I've had at a restaurant here in Fresno in a really long time. The ladies here are very welcoming and the food was very fresh. The tortillas here are homemade and fresh. 100% recommend you give this place a try“
“I ordered the volcano shrimp fries. They were made with love. They were spicy, flavorful, and fresh. The restaurant owner was friendly and personable. He even fulfilled an off menu item for my child. You can tell that he is a good human being and has a big heart. ♥️ Please come give them a try! You will not be disappointed!“
“I came here on a weekday morning with a group of friends. Our service was fantastic, coffee refills before I realized I might even need one, no problem making adaptations to meals, and just a nostalgic diner feel. I got the chiliquiles without egg or cheese, and added veggies & guacamole. My coffee was so great... perfect diner coffee. I appreciated the friendliness of our server, and her attentiveness as well. All and all, a happy first visit here! Will definitely be back again!“
“Small hole in the wall restaurant with cozy charm and amazing artwork! The food was amazing and the owner and his family were so friendly and helpful! My wife and I can't wait to go back! We even took home food for dinner! Menudo! Which they have everyday! Go and enjoy this amazing jem! You won't be sorry!“
“This is one of those places that are busy for a reason. Nice diner feel and no nonsense eatery featuring Mexican grandmother staples on hot plates. The food can take a little time to get to you depending on how busy they are, but the provided seasoned chips and salsa will keep your stomach entertained in the meantime.“
“The tacos here are always good. I live near by and I see they're open pretty consistently. It's nice because there is a lot of room for parking. It's behind the Am/Pm gas station on Ashlan. They have a table to sit and wait or you can wait in your car. The service is friendly and fast. It's a chill spot and pretty low key usually. The Sabor Michoacán is down the street but is always too crowded. The tacos here, in my opinion, are better and you can get your food quicker. Plus, if need be, you can hit the gas station before or after which is convenient.“
“I love this place. The only place I get pupusa from. The woman at the front end is so sweet! If you dine it it’s so cozy and she caters to you so well. The food is amazing authentic and you can see them making it in the kitchen! The best part is the prices. So many places charge a lot honestly she could raise them and I would still buy from here. The best place. Can’t say enough good things.“
“Best homemade flour tortilla and tamales are to die for you will not regret best little restaurant left with bomb food had cheese enchiladas beans rice plate tamale on the side and as far as of today homemade flour tortilla. Now today Jimenez don't make them any more this is your go to for best Mexican food thank you for delicious food crew!!!“
“Best burrito I've had. The flour tortilla felt and tasted homemade, the sauces on the table were great, and all the little things in the burrito they add when you ask for everything inside of it the cherry on top? the bathroom key was silly but also smart. It won't ever be lost or stolen?“
“This family owned business has been around for so many years and continues to deliver quality products while maintaining a positive representation. The owners are really good people who appreciate their employees and have created an encouraging and productive work space.“
“This is, I think, my favorite taqueria. All of the meats are always good cuts, no fat, just the meat. Good quality chicken, pork and beef which is important to me. Fresh vegetables. Simple salsa bar with a red and green, pickled jalepenos/ carrots/ onion/ cauliflower, cabbage, and limes. Simple but very very tasty. I have been told that his home made pickles I just mentioned are the best in town, and I believe it. The owner is usually taking the order and also helping in kitchen. Very pleasant man, proud of his home country of Guadalajara, an area of which his restaurant is named after. There is always a soccer game on the TV. This is a modest place, but clean and authentic. My go to order in the weekends is the Machaca breakfast burrito. Chicken burrito is another favorite. Lately I've been enjoying his Al Pastor Tortas and his Chile rellenos. I have not had a poorly prepared item here. Always consistent, mainly because the owner is always here making sure everything is done right. I just love this place, and I have honestly eaten almost everywhere in Fresno. The owner ran out to the parking lot to hand me my flour tortillas that I forgot on the counter one time. They offer a full line of authentic Central American soups which I see being ordered a lot but have not tried. I highly reccomend this joint.“
“Muchas gracias por excellente servicio y muy rika nieve echa al natural!!! GREAT!! Ice cream! The best I want to say in Fresno! The ice cream is made by the hardworking owner! It is made with natural ingredients! Not to sweet, just perfect!! Great service too and clean!!!!! I will definitely be back!!“
“Food has always been great but the new chic who answers the phones and cashiers, wtf is her problem? We ordered two carnitas specials and she said they had no lemon, lime, or butter. Come on now people can really phuck it up for a restaurant. So glad the food is hella bomb and my fat @ss will be back.“
“I’m from the great city of Los Angeles been out here couple years now and let me tell yall there some good tacos but nothing hit home like these Tacos rite here sheeeeeesh there on point the Carnitas y todo made me say Ah Cabron lol very delicious and there not stingy 10/10 BEST TACOS IVE HAD OUT HERE ???“
