“I have to admit, as an airplane nerd I’m perhaps a little biased since this spot is at the Half Moon Bay airport it here it goes!Pilot Light is literally in an old terminal building so to the reviews that say it feels like it…. Yeah. But that said, I enjoy the environment. It’s relaxed and bustling at the same time. There’s a good sized outdoor patio with several tables when the weather is good. There’s usually a few operations of general aviation aircraft every hour.The food: I have yet to have anything here that isn’t good. I’ve tried several meals, and the Huevos Rancheros is definitely a fave. Presentation is always pretty, too!There was one review about the plastic glasses being worse for wear, but that problem is solved by nice aluminum glasses. Even the coffee, which is tasty, is served in an aluminum insulated cup!Pilot Light is definitely on my must go list in the area. “Went for Breakfast Food - 4/5. The meat lovers sandwich, while having decent ingredients, had a very dry texture. Bacon was crispy and the ham scramble was on the drier side. Bread was toasted plainly, which added to the dry nature of the entire sandwich. The cheese added some softness, but textural wise, it could've used some variety. Hash browns were browned well with a nice bite. Service - 4/5. You order from the counter first than they bring out the food. Quick and friendly. Value - 3/5. Breakfast sandwiches come with a good amount of filling and hash brown sides. Price is on the expensive side for what they are, being $16.50 for most. Parking - Mall Lot (Free)“

“I love a quiet, laid-back diner, especially when the staff know and joke around with the regulars!I also found the omelet to be unique, I’m used to the ingredients being mixed with the egg, but here they wrapped the egg around the ingredients! Genius. 10/10“
