“The food is great, being a southern girl I am pretty picky about my BBQ but this place nails it! However, the most exceptional thing to me is the level of care and customer service that I received from the owner tonight. I made the mistake of ordering a salad to go and don’t think I clicked to include the dressing. When I got home I realized my mistake and called fully ready to go back and get the dressing and the owner offered to bring me the dressing to my home and included the best mud pie I’d ever had! It’s extremely rare to see that level of southern hospitality, but I think it speaks volumes not only to her love and commitment to her establishment but the care and pride she has to serving nothing but the best to the community. Thank you so much for that tonight. It was my mother’s birthday and the pie really made her night. You have made my family customers for life and I am forever grateful for such an act of kindness.“
“We adore BBQ, and it’s always fun to discover a new local place that does barbecue plus all the sides.I got the pulled pork and the pulled chicken, which were OK (meh) but nothing to write home about. My partner got the ribs — about which he made happy noises while eating — and the BBQ (teriyaki) chicken, which was way better than the pulled chicken.The cornbread was generous, tasty, and came with *almost* enough honey butter.The other sides were fine — again, nothing exceptional, but definitely edible. Drink selections other than sodas are limited.Sauces, salt and pepper, and paper towels sit on the tables; plastic cutlery you have to get yourself.When we come back, we’re thinking ribs and brisket are the best deal.“
“First of all, Francis and Dennis are the best! We see them pretty much every time we come in on Fridays. A group of us like to head over on Friday evenings after a workout and we love seeing their friendly faces. Friday is typically tap takeover as well so we like to go and win prizes while enjoying the takeover beers. There is always something for everyone in our group both beverage and food-wise. You can always tell when it was a harder workout based on how much food we order and how many beers we cycle through. They have always been super accommodating when we have a large group show up or when it is just a couple of us. There has never been a difference in service and to me, that is incredible. Whether you need a quick drink or a snack before heading off somewhere else in the town green, this is worth a visit.“
“A really awesome spot. Food is amazing, staff were incredibly friendly and great at making recommendations. We had the 2x2 ($33 for 2 meats and 2 sides which was more than enough for one person), the house salad with Salmon which was amazing and the pulled pork sandwich which was to DIE FOR.
