“Celebrating National Hot Dog Day is a tradition with me, so I decided to have Der Wienerschnitzel to enjoy chili dogs as part of their promotion. Now it's only chili, but bringing the hot dogs home allows you to put on the works, like cheese, onions, mustard and other condiments you enjoy on your dog. For me, I love cheese and onions with mustard for good measure. There are so many opportunities for hot dogs in southern California, it's easy to celebrate, with Costco obviously the cheapest option in town.“

“My visit to 88 Hotdog was an unexpectedly delightful culinary adventure, especially for someone with a penchant for creatively crafted fast food. Nestled in a bustling, crowded area where parking can be a bit of a treasure hunt, this gem stands out for its unique offerings and commendable service.Starting with the mozzarella corn dog, it was a standout in both size and flavor, offering great value for its price. The corn dog was perfectly crispy on the outside, with a gooey, stretchy mozzarella center that was both satisfying and indulgent. It’s the kind of treat that brings a smile to your face with each bite, blending the nostalgic essence of a classic corn dog with a cheesy twist that elevates it to a whole new level. The adventure didn't stop there; the yogurt drinks were a revelation in their own right. I indulged in a variety of flavors - peach, mango, blueberry, and pineapple - each one more refreshing and flavorful than the last. These drinks had a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, with the fruit flavors shining through beautifully. They were not just good; they were exceptional, adding a refreshing contrast to the savory richness of the corn dog.The service at 88 Hotdog deserves a special mention. Despite the crowded location, the employee was friendly, efficient, and quick to serve, making the overall experience even more pleasant. It's always a breath of fresh air to encounter service that is both warm and competent, especially in fast-paced environments. While the parking situation and crowded surroundings might deter some, the culinary delights and the cheerful service at 88 Hotdog make it well worth the effort. It's a small price to pay for the joy of biting into a delicious mozzarella corn dog and sipping on exquisitely flavored yogurt drinks. For anyone in the area or those willing to brave the parking challenge, 88 Hotdog is a must-visit spot that promises a satisfying and tasty experience.“

The donuts themselves are a perfect mix of chewy, subtly sweet, and not at all greasy. While the corn dogs might be a bit too oily for some, it's likely just the Korean-style preparation. “This is a long overdue review actually - I can back when it first opened and when even the name was different. It was the first korean corndog place to open in LA so hype was definitely there. My girlfriend and I finally made the trip to K-Town to visit this place and there was a bit of a line. But once you're in, getting your food isn't too bad. They have it made to order too so you will have to wait a bit always - but you get it while it's fresh! Selection is fair - we got a classic and one with cheese. Both were good and I highly recommend to get it with sugar because that's what makes it special. my girlfriend prefers the breading on the Korean corndogs because it's not as thick and bready as American ones. The sauce options are pretty decent, but the go to for me is always just ketchup & mustard. Overall it's a good staple, but I don't see this specific spot as a huge wow factor in terms of taste.“

I ordered the “dorados combo” which comes with comes with two birria quesatacos, rice & beans, and a drink. But I didn’t get any queso in my birria tacos. It was just two birria dorados. “I urgently needed a matcha Mochinut for my friend yesterday. This shop was able to deliver and my friend was so happy, this is what they said:“The first bite into my matcha mochinut revealed a burst of earthy and slightly bitter Matcha flavor, which was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the dough. The smoothness of the Matcha infused glaze that coated the Mochinut added an extra layer of richness to this already heavenly treat. As I savored each bite, I was transported to a world, where flavors, harmonized in perfect symphony.“Matcha Mochinut, offer not only an explosion of taste, but also provide numerous health benefits. Matcha is known for its high concentration of antioxidants, which help boost, metabolism, and promote overall well-being. Additionally, these delightful treats are gluten-free and made from natural ingredients like rice, flour and sugar, making them suitable for those with dietary restrictions.“This matcha Mochinut was undeniably delicious. “AN INSTITUTION the best carne asada burrito you'll ever have. you know why? NO RICE. rice doesn't belong in a burrito.someone complained about the price. having grown up here and lived through all the gentrification and seen all the displacement of generations of families and businesses in favor of bougie trends that aren't worth a damn, i'm the FIRST person to complain about the outrageous prices of things around la. but yuca's is legit and they keep their prices low especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. i grew up walking to yucas and compared to the yuppie wannabe mexican places (ahem homestate), this is where you get your money's worth.one day i will try the cheeseburger. it was my high school boyfriend's favorite and now he has his own restaurant that regularly has a 3 hour wait (hint: spicy chicken sandwiches). people rave about it, and it regularly makes top ten burgers in la lists. but i just can't stop ordering the carne asada burrito. or the cochinita pibil tacos.anyway. i'm getting a burrito right now!viva yuca's!!“

“Rating: 4.2/5 This place is right across from tastea and has somewhat good parking. I have heard of this place but never gone until now. I decided to order the reservoir hog and later ordered the t-mex sausage dog. I heard from the cashier that the reservoir hog was a popular sausage dog that people get. Personally, I did not like that specific sausage. I liked the sausage itself and everything about it EXCEPT the damn mustard they put on top. I should've asked no mustard but I wanted the unedited sausage dog. I think the mustard overpowered the taste of the entire sausage dog, although I did get slivers of the sausage taste which was good and juicy. Wouldn't get it again though. To redeem myself, I got the t-mex sausage dog and shared it among friends and god I should've went with this first. It was spicy and juicy and their slaw just balanced it all out. It wasn't overly spicy but it had enough kick for me to like it. I tasted more of the sausage and it made me enjoy the dog even more. The fries were okay, can be shared between two people and it'll be enough (enough to be content). My friends got the old town and downtown dog and both said were pretty good choices. I didn't get to explore the bar and their beer on tap but they do have happy hour on sundays after 10pm(?) and Mon-Fri happy hour(don't know the time). The lighting is nice because it isn't overly bright but its not so dark where I can't see. Would I go here again for 11 dollar hot dogs? Probably! I do enjoy their sausage dogs so that's definitely a plus in my books since some places don't do that.“
