“Friendly neighborhood brew pub with an Indian flair. I recently had the beer-battered fish and chips, which were some of best I’ve eaten; quite tasty. The fish is nice and flaky; not greasy. The service is warm, accommodating, and efficient. I look forward to trying their Tandoori dishes during my next visit.“
“In Sactown for food at the Freeport with my pal Ohbasious Clearwater, the crusty old Scallywagger that has a 90' Beneteau Oceanis sailing yacht moored down in Battleship Row in SF. All he can talk about is hitting up the Freeport Bar & Grill for some St Pat's corned beef, says it's the best he's ever had. I told him as soon as we're done looking at the bow thruster blades we go there Lickity split. The Freeport Bar & Grill is a 5 star joint. ☆☆☆☆☆“
“I came here for lunch last week. When I came in I was quickly seated. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant has plenty of seating and a wonderful bar. I ordered the bison cheesesteak egg rolls, bistro salad and the Cajun dry rub boneless chicken. The egg rolls were delicious and the bison meat was cooked to perfection. The boneless wings were delicious and very flavorful. The bistro salad consist of mixed greens, red onion, blue cheese crumbles, crispy onions and vinaigrette. The salad was phenomenal and very flavorful. The boneless chicken was delicious and juicy. I also ordered the others whiskey sour. The drink was delicious and very fresh. The ambiance is customer friendly and very nice setup.“
“Rumors as to the nonexistence of Hood Supply Co., I am happy to report are grossly in error. We are dining as a party of four at the bar, right now. We've downed our excellent lumpia as appetizer and the aromatics of my approaching shrimp scampi have just hit me. My olfactory sense does not disappoint; this bowl of scampi is perfect: the shrimp are so flavorful and extremely tender. 50 years of eating shrimp scampi and sincerely, this is outstanding, the best ever, i believe. I still am amazed this place exists along the Sacramento River, 'this is rural complement', in the middle of nowhere,. Hood, is a tiny little delta town with one very impressive bar and restaurant, here at the H. Supply Co.. Both are popular generally a host of local-type showing support at the bar. Don't miss a great dining opportunity, reportedly the prime rib is not to be missed, testified 2 of my companions,, and don't miss out on the fantastically unique Brussel sprouts, you will not be disappointed..“
