This is a great neighborhood Mexican, restaurant and bar. They have very good margaritas. Their food is very good and straightforward. Good place for kids where you can be loud and have some room. Professional weight staff. Family run for several generations. I definitely recommend it if you're not looking for anything fancy but just good Mexican food and a good margarita at a fair price.
I like Super Mex and have for years. I was sad to see their Fountain Valley location close, that was my go-to spot and they used to have a carnitas family meal back in the day for $19.99, enough to feed 4. Whether it's their chicken and cheese enchiladas, or their chile verde burrito with tomatillo sauce on top, I'm always leaving full and happy. Our 2 experiences here have been well worth it. From the margaritas to the appetizers to the dishes, it's all good. But what makes it so good is the service. Undeniably great customer service. The atmosphere is fun and family. Birthdays are celebrated nicely and we felt very comfortable.
