“I stopped by here for a late lunch with my mom! The food was amazing, we got the cold noodle salad, green goddess salad with chicken and a small charcuterie board. Everything was really high quality & super good! I can't wait to come back Wednesday for wine Wednesday!! Highly recommend 10/10!“
“This is a great neighborhood gem. The menu is consistent if not adventurous. I've tried most things on the menu. My favorites are the veal Gorgonzola or veal Carciofi, and Braciola Neapolitana, thin sliced beef stuffed and rolled. Before your meal bread is served with a flavorful chimichuri sauce. There is a wine bar for more relaxed dining with music or the more formal restaurant side. The full menu is offered on both sides. The service is outstanding. If you want your “Cheers” moment, they remember your name when you come in.“
“First time dining at this restaurant with my family and it was even better than what I expected! The service was excellent, the food was amazing and the prices were reasonable. Above all, what drove us to eat here was what it stands for their American patriotism.Coming from a military family, they had flags of military branches. The portions and authenticity of the food ,fugeet about it...Will be back soon “
“In town for the #expowest2024 show and decided to spend the weekend in Huntington, Beach. Looked up of lots of places and landed on The Black Trumpet…I’m in the food business and travel a lot, so when eating out it takes a high level of execution to really get me excited! This place absolutely exceeded my expectations on every level! We tried a little of everything, and we were blown away….filet empanadas were absolutely the best I’ve ever had hands down! From the first course to dessert with a nice port, we were just in love! Service was impeccable and atmosphere was just perfect! So glad we made the stop, and it will certainly be my go to next time I’m in town!“
“Our new favorite bar! (Beer & wine only) We heard about driftwood from several locals and finally stopped in while we waited for a pizza from next door. Tria the bartender was so sweet and KILLING it! The only bartender and the place was very crowded on a Friday afternoon during their awesome happy hour! *2-7 m-f Very friendly crowd. We came back the next day to have our rainy day brightened again by Tria Just go! You can bring food in and there's a mexi cafe as well as pizza in the complex.“
“The ambiance, the staff, the location, the wine, the Chef, the mom and the food were all amazing. Go eggplant! We went in knowing it would be ok and seemingly good and we left hoping to be regular's and felt like family. But you can feel great and get great service but you want good or even great food too. This food was excellent! I'm not kidding my friend Sharon and I had a blast, visited with everyone and ate some more than great food. Thank you, Diann and Sharon (last night)“
“What a fantastic wine bar. Dont let the small storefront steer you away.. Greeted shortly after entering the establishment. Wait staff, Jaime D was attentive and engaging when appropriate. Enjoyed chatting and cajoling with Tom, a Main Street usual. The bar and seating areas were clean and inviting. Sampled 2 SauvBlanc settled on the Merry Edwards Russian River. Fresh and crisp..yummy!! Light-hearted atmosphere, even the owner (Oscar) cracked jokes while leaving for the day with two bottles of wine. Wish the heat lamps were on for patio seating as the sun was bright but being in close proximity of the beach...it was a little chilly! We will definitely return to MSWCompany again and again.“
“Really nice place hometown. Feel clean restrooms and the bartenders are amazing. No matter which shift I have went in on the still had really good service and treated like they were really appreciative to have my business. Keep up the good work. Highly recommendedParking: Lots of lots of parking easily accessible“
“When we visit the Bolsa Chica area we always stop at this restaurant as their food is delicious and refreshing on a hot Summer day. The food is Hawaiian based so if you are looking for rice, poke, or a fried egg give this place a try you will not be disappointed. A few recommendations are the poke salad bowls, salmon, and the burger they are cooked to perfection. The seafood they use is fresh and they grill it just right with a crispy skin and the inside is soft and not dry. The rice and salads that come with many of the meals are served hot and are mixed well. There are also Hawaiian drinks from lychee to Hawaiian beer - they also sell regular beers and alcoholic drinks on the menu. The wait time for the food is a little long as they make the items right when you order them. None of the items taste like they have been sitting or are warmed up - they assemble each combo plate as they are being ordered. This is a type of restaurant where you order in the window and wait for your order to be called. As for tables it's first come first serve they are scattered throughout both in front of the restaurant and the beach area. They also have live musicians and bands playing on different days and times. If you want to come and listen to the live music you can do that without having to purchase food. You can order drinks from their bar and relax and enjoy the sunset. The only downside is that the prices are a little high especially for some items that are small as in the burger and salads. The total amount for your food is comparable to eating at a restaurant as you could easily spend over 100 for a few plates and drinks. Out of all the restaurants along the beach on PCH I say this is the best one and they have attentive customer service which is always a plus.“
“We didn't indulge in the food, but the bottomless mimosas were a hit. Dogs are welcome as long as they're well mannered and on leash, the atmosphere is very relaxed and down home comfortable. Hearing music we know is such a cool way to spend a day. Thank you.“
“Cannot remember our waiters name but he was OUTSTANDING. We dined with our pets and he just made the night. Was so knowledgeable about our wine we ordered. The whole staff was on top of everything. Given this is a beach town a lot of places seem to be too laid back and no urgency. Here. Everything from the fresh oysters to the surf and turf were out of this world.“
