“Great dinner! The menu has quite a few options and the great appetizers. We had a gift card so we tried the pork belly appetizers with white beans. The carmelization was perfect and the flavor was great. I had the mahi-mahi and it was cooked perfectly and had a nice crust with tender flaking inside. It looked like a small dish but it was rich with flavor and filling. My husband had the short rib which didn't even need a knife. It was so tender and also rich with flavor. I had their version of an old-fashioned and it had a nice sweet vanilla flavoring. It might be too sweet for some but I only had one drink. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which was light and had a very mild flavor not overbearing sweetness. My husband tried the creme brulee and it was actually sweeter than the chocolate mousse. The sugar crystalization had a perfect char. We loved our meal and will head back again for their happy hour.“
“Just went here for the first time last weekend. The atmosphere was amazing. We got to sit on the couch which was comfy and spacious. The food was good, especially the bruschetta! There are about 12 different types to get. The iced tea was one of the best I have had, which sounds like an odd thing to say but when you try it you'll understand why. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and service was very friendly and attentive, like the definition of why we love small businesses. Since I was dining with my husband we did the ole half and half so I got to try the Oklahoma Sunset and the Our Go To Italian. While the Oklahoma Sunset isn't really my style when it comes to sandwiches, I couldn't argue with the overwhelming love for it in the reviews so I went that route and was so glad I did. I was less impressed with the Italian, but, and that's a big BUT, I don't like parsley and that was, for me, the dominant flavor in the herb oil. So while I wouldn't recommend that sandwich, it's just preference. My husband enjoyed both but the clear winner was the Oklahoma Sunset. Definitely will be back and looking forward to it.“

“I don't know why there isn't a long line out in front of this restaurant every night. It is a small restaurant in a location that is slightly off the restaurant beaten path. But it is Onotria, the same owner and chef as the previous iteration of Onotria that has been one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Orange County - and definitely on of the best Italian restaurants in the county for many years. The original Onotria took a hiatus for a few years but is back now in its new location with excellent food - perhaps now a little more innovative and modern. The service also excellent with a little more warmth and attentiveness thrown in, perhaps a consequence of the small venue. There were four of us, we all sampled each other's food and all agreed that it was outstanding as was the service. It's great to have Onotria back. It's definitely one of the "must try " Italian restaurants in The OC.“
“This has been on my list forever and I decided last minute while i was off my diet to come here. It's a very small place and it got crowded real quick. Definitely come here early cuz you'll have to wait for a table. I did remember that you can't adjust the spiciness to your bowl so be aware if you're sensitive to the heat. I got the Deluxe and it was everything I imagined it to be. They gave a cute mini ball of rice at the end to soak up the leftover yummy sauce. I took the rest home, the bowl is very heavy and I just couldn't finish it but it's okay because I looked forward to eating it the next day.“

“I've been to Knife Pleat half a dozen times for dinner and generally, it's been quite good to excellent depending on the day. Some dishes fail to impress but generally speaking most dishes are exciting, novel, and suffice to say extremely tasty. The desserts in particular have been incredibly creative and interesting. I also find it refreshing to get so many vegetables in a meal of this caliber!Wine pairings have been excellent as well, and the head bartender is very, very skilled.The service is good. All the servers have been incredibly friendly, but the service has felt very rigid and unrefined at various points. What I mean by this is that they are trying very, very hard to do things the "correct" way that it feels very unnatural at times and a bit starling, like when they circle around the table and all stand behind each guest, pause for 2 seconds, then place the dishes down at the same time. I do greatly respect their ambitions, (I think they're going for 2 stars), but this sort of thing I just find silly and unnecessary, even if it was a 2 star.My biggest complaint is just how outrageously priced it is. $295 for 6 courses is deep into 2-star pricing territory. You add in a wine pairing and the mandatory 23% service fee and you're looking at almost $600 per person.I would truly love nothing more than for them to grow into this price point, but as it stands, the meal is quite overpriced.“

We had to sit outside in the cold, but they made it worth our time, and did their best to keep us warm, bringing over many heaters and even a blanket. The food was amazing, and very good quality. Their pasta was great, and the garlic bread was very flavorful. I got the Oreo ice cream cake, and the ice cream was rich, and the chocolate was good. “I had no expectations when I first entered Pali Wine. I walked in thinking "I'll leave after a glass or two" but my thoughts were rerouted when the Saturday evening atmosphere stole my attention. Pali Wine has a nice set up of tables, bar seatings, arm chairs, and a sofa. The service at Pali Wine is friendly. They weren't hovering, and they also weren't neglectful. Came to check on us at appropriate times. We ordered the seasonal flight and cheese board. Both made for an easy share with my company. We enjoyed one of the tastings and decided to then get a glass each of our own. Unbeknownst to us - they have a live dj play a set on the weekend. It was the icing on the cake. The dj played the best old school hip hop tracks and mixed in some newer selections. The location for Pali Wine also couldn't be better. It is directly across the street from the Packing District and nestled between two restaurants all interconnected. Have a drink at Pali Wine and tacos next door. They all share the same building space and no walls divide the businesses. Well thought out plan. Overall, a wonderful experience. 10 out of 10... highly recommend.“

The staff is efficient yet friendly. The ambience is getting better by the day since we started dining there over 2 decades ago, I am not giving it a 5-star mainly because the rest rooms are situated outside and around the corner but this will too be remedied after the expansion plan is completed in the next few months. By the way, there's underground parking in the complex in case you can't find space on the street.“

Although it was a lot sweeter than I liked it to be, so the overall drink was okay haha. The parking lot is shared with many other stores, so the parking situation can be tricky, depending how busy it gets.“
