Fish was good. Service was vet good, but there was something haphazard about it.The real problem is the rolls, their staple offering. Too much rice, poorly prepared sauce, and EVERYTHING seems to be a covered California roll. Spider rolls don't need fake crab.
Decent sushi restaurant. I went during lunch (luckily wasn't crowded) with a friend and was seated immediately. Service was on point, the waiter was quick to respond. We ordered the Rainbow roll, dragon roll, and some Gyonzas. Food came out quick and fresh. Food tasted great but a bit too expensive. Rainbow roll costed $18 and could have made more for that price. Despite the price, this restaurant is a solid choice for anyone wanting sushi.

Back for my second go around at Maizuru. While I wait for my food I’ll leave a quick review. I’ll start with the food…by far my new favorite sushi spot in Irvine!! Fish is fresh and rolls are delicious. Ok enough of the food because what is second to none here is the service. All staff is friendly and super attentive!! Like quite literally the best service of any restaurant in OC. Will keep coming back for more. Ok food is here, going to eat now
