“Amazing ? ?We went on a rainy day, and I craved heartwarming food. The service here was supper friendly. We were standing outside, trying to figure out what they sold. The guy came out with the menu. He also helped us order. We have the pork belly and beef noodles. Both were very tasty and not dealy spicy. Kimchi is 10 out of 10 ? The restaurant is full of Kpop atmosphere. They really fulfill my craving after watching k drama.“
“Been 15ish years since going to an olive garden, and it was better than I remembered. The artichoke dip was a bit bland, and the manager asked how our food was right when it arrived before we had a chance to have a bite. Other than that I was impressed.“
“Took my friend here as she wanted shabu/hot pot. Very clean place with a good selection of seafood, veggies and hot pot items like fish balls, fish tofu and the wide hot pot noodles! I feel like the soup bases can improve a bit. Love the built in induction plate on the table where you get to control the temp yourself. I also enjoyed the hot foods selection! Another great dinner at dpot. Staff was friendly and had no wait on a Tuesday night!“
“I went to Irvine with my friend for some errands and we were wondering what to have for lunch, so we searched on Google. We were craving Korean food, and there was a place nearby called Tang & Tang, so we decided to give it a try. The interior was really clean and nice, which immediately put us in a good mood! We ordered tonkatsu and galbijjim (not spicy). Oh my, the tonkatsu was absolutely delicious! It was unlike any other tonkatsu I’ve had before, so I definitely thought about coming back again. We ordered the galbijjim not spicy this time, but next time I think we’ll try it a bit spicier! The female staff was also very nice and friendly, and we left feeling really happy until the end of our meal!“
“Amazing staff, 10/10 food. overall amazing experience. Shoutout to our sweet server, we had just gotten rear ended and weren't even sure about going out to eat anymore but as soon as she welcomed us in she changed our entire day around. She was so awesome and attentive, especially to our 1 year old baby boy. i would drive from riverside to irvine just to experience this place again, highly recommend.“
“Phan's Kitchen and Bar in Irvine offers a unique blend of contemporary Vietnamese cuisine alongside specialty cocktails and wines in a sleek setting. One notable aspect of the restaurant is its location, nestled almost inconspicuously in the middle of a residential condo area. To find it, diners embark on a short drive into the complex, where they'll discover not only Phan's but also a handful of other businesses. The unconventional location adds an element of discovery to the dining experience, making it a hidden gem for those willing to venture a bit off the beaten path. The restaurant's sleek ambiance provides a modern and stylish backdrop, creating an inviting atmosphere for patrons seeking a culinary adventure. When you walk in, you are greeted by the large screen tv above the small bar seating area, next to the hostess station. I think they were short staffed the night we came in but the hostess saw us, but went about other tasks and left the owner to seat us when he came out and saw us just standing there. The hostess was like, "Oh yeah, they are here." The restaurant was not very busy at the time, but they definitely did not have enough staff to manage the guests they already had.It was a cold and windy night so the DH and I opted to have some wings and some warming Pho with some drinks. The restaurant had an open kitchen area so you can see what was going on in the back. There were three people in the kitchen but only one person was cooking the other two were helping with prep and expediting but the cook/chef was a one man show. The wings took a little time so we thought they forgot our order, but when they came, they were definitely worth the wait. The were crispy on the outside with a mild hint of fish sauce, not overpowering, and the inside was nice and juicy! Given that the wings took a little while to come, we thought we had a little more time to eat the wings before the pho came, but shortly right after the wings arrived, the pho came out. So we hustled to finish our wings and start on the pho before it got cold. By now, there was a crowd that was starting to accumulate at the front door and people were crammed inside to stay out of the wind. I'm glad we got our food at that point as service was almost out the door as it got really busy. We tried to ask for additional condiments to eat with the pho, but they never came. The pho was good, but it could have been much better if we were able to get extra condiments with our pho. We were surprised that no one came to check in on us or give us the check since it was just the too of us sitting at a 6-top table and the crowd was growing. We finally had to flag down someone to get the check, seems like that owner was running all over the place. The menu at Phan's Kitchen and Bar boasts a selection of contemporary Vietnamese fare, promising a fusion of traditional flavors with a modern twist. From classic dishes to inventive creations, diners can expect a diverse range of options that cater to various tastes. The d was quite good, but the experience was somewhat dampened by the lack of service. It could have been on a night where they were short-staffed or it could just be lack or organization and process.“
“Extremely tasty noodle dishes - All noodle dishes we tried were really excellent. Also, the sticky rice dessert is super tasty! I agree with some of the other reviews that the staff could really try to be friendlier. However, who cares about that if the food and price are great?“
“If you're craving a quick Thai dish, I'd recommend visiting Thai Street Food by George. At first, it seemed a bit sketchy when ordering online because they have you pick up at the back of the building, but don't be intimidated by that lol. Despite the location, the food is really good. I always go for the pad Thai (you can alter the spice level to your liking) because the noodles are perfectly cooked, the sauce is rich and tangy, and the balance of sweet and savory is spot on. Additionally, if you are craving something sweet, do not pass on the opportunity to order the mango sticky rice. Overall, the generous portion sizes ensure you'll leave satisfied.“
“Baekjeong Irvine offers an intriguing and immersive Korean BBQ experience that truly stands out. From the moment we entered, we were captivated by the interactive dining concept, where the server expertly grilled the meat right at our table, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the outstanding quality of the food. Each cut of meat was impeccably fresh and flavorful, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of IPA beer available, which complemented the meal perfectly. The cleanliness of the restaurant was commendable, and the overall pricing was fair considering the high quality of the food and service. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, contributing to a welcoming dining environment. However, our experience was not without its drawbacks. Visiting on a Saturday noon, we were disappointed to find that there was no bartender available until 5 pm, limiting our drink options. Furthermore, the wait time to be seated was longer than expected, which detracted from the overall experience. In conclusion, Baekjeong Irvine offers an authentic Korean BBQ experience with exceptional food quality. While there were some minor issues with service availability and wait times, the overall dining experience was enjoyable and memorable.I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience in Irvine.“
“Randomly stumbled across this Korean restaurant when searching Korean food in Irvine. To my surprise the food and service are really good. It is not loud and a good place to eat with friends and family. We ordered the cold noodle, it is well balanced, with egg and beef slices. The noodle is chewy and I like the texture of it. It also comes with banchan such as fish cake, cabbage, kimchi, and more. We also try the ox tail soup, it is not salty but we have option to add salt into it to make it more salty. But it has huge bone flavor to it which I really like. Parking maybe a little difficult during lunch hours since the parking spots in front of the restaurant is limited, but there's more parking at the back.Server is friendly, although place is small, but it seems like a hearty place to eat. Price is affordable, will come back again!Parking: Sometimes parking in front is limited but there’s back parking“
“This place is great, the food is good but on the pricey side. The staff is very nice and gave helpful info. The homemade kimchi was delightful, I recommend it. It's very versatile and fresh. It's located inside Niko Niko Sushi which is also a good place.“
“Soondae number 14 is a full platter of Soondae. I doubt one person could finish at all. I shared it with my wife while we enjoyed some quiet time in the grocery store. The glass noodle was very good since it made the Soondae puffy and warm.“
“Comfortable dining atmosphere with a great song playlist. The porkchops and stinky tofu dishes are fantastic. Moreover, the garlic sauce is authentically delicious. Ordering in-store had a long wait time, so it's better to order online or phone ahead. Staff is great.“
