THE FOOD: I'm new to the vegetarian lifestyle, and started reluctantly under doctor's orders. Mazal has been a revelation! Tal and his staff prepare vegetarian dishes that taste amazing because they were always intended to be vegetarian! Fresh fennel salad, hearty beats with cumin, silky humus and baba ganoush. And mushrooms so perfectly grilled that they taste - dare I say - MEATY, like a mushroom should! So yes, the food is supurb. But that's not the reason we come back. Nor is it the reason we decided to celebrate our recent engagement with them. Mazal feels like a home. The decor is warm, the patio is beautiful and spacious, and Hanni, Tal, and the rest of the staff are kind and welcoming. “One of the meals I’ve had. The whipped feta was a dream with maybe my favorite pita I’ve tasted. Carrots were perfect. Sweet potatoes were delicious but definitely have a kick if you’re sensitive to spice. Steak frites were best fries I’ve ever had. Drinks were strong and so tasty. Can’t wait to go back“

“I hosted my bridal shower at La Boheme Banquet Hall & Restaurant this past weekend and I can’t say enough how happy I was with the experience. The banquet hall itself has been designed very well for a mid-sized event. I looked at many places to host my bridal shower but I could not find any that accommodated what I was looking for until I found La Boheme. The owner, Arthur, is an incredibly nice man and very helpful. He provided feedback and worked with me every step of the way to make sure everything turned out exactly as I had envisioned. Most importantly, the service and food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. The staff at La Boheme is extremely attentive to all the guests and very responsive to all their requests. “One of the best places to eat Middle Eastern food in Los Angeles is Sahara Restaurant in Pasadena! ? I've been coming here since the 90s. The kebabs, hummus, tabbouleh, and Greek salad are my absolute favorites. Everything I've ever tried here is made fresh, yummy, and super delicious. ? The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. They have an open-concept kitchen, so you can see them cooking all the food when you order at the counter. ?️ My family and I usually like coming here to have lunch on Saturdays before 3:00 PM (they close from 3:00-5:00 PM Mon-Sat, then reopen from 5:00 - 8:00 PM for the dinner crowd, closed on Sundays). They have parking in the back and two spaces for parking on the side of the restaurant. It's a fantastic place to relax and enjoy delicious food with family and friends. “I was finally able to check off Kismet after months of passing by it after work.The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.“

“Meals and memories are made here at Bianca’s deli. Bianca’s deli (est 1983) is a small Mediterranean deli cafe in East Hollywood. They serve fresh, healthy salads, wraps, sandwiches, panini and pasta. Furthermore, they offer good breakfast and coffee. They provide exceptional service and food. I came here over Lunch and ordered a Grilled chicken salad and a Pasta Primavera. Food was fresh and satisfying; portions were abundant for their modest price. Staff were assiduous, caring and professional.Overall, I enjoyed their service and food. I highly recommend this deli.“

“I lived in koreatown my whole life and i hate that i never tried this place until today. Food was so good here. I thought chicken would be dry just like other kabob places i go but this was the best chicken kabob i ever had. All their other plates were so delicious. I would recommend to everyone.“
“This is a little hole in the wall kabob shop in Glendale. What's interesting is when you're driving down the street, there are so many kabob places and we chose this one based on some reviews that we saw and the fact that it look like a mom and pop shop and it was! I love supporting small businesses and the people working behind the counter were so helpful and kind. I'm pretty sure the wife was the one that served us and she was particularly helpful and delivered excellent service. We shared a mixed kabob plate that ended up enough for both of us! The meat was super moist and flavorful, especially I took note of the chicken breast which often can be dry. I would highly recommend this place!“

Ordered Mezze Lamb Platter, Bocquerones Toast (avocado toast on sourdough bread topped with a hot sauce and anchovies) So Good, must get! - and a shepherd's salad with Bulgarian Sheep Feta. Anchovy was not fishy at all. If I was eating blindfolded, I would not have guessed the toast had anchovies. My new go-to! Service was helpful. We called our order ahead for pickup. Host was friendly and welcoming. Ambiance - beautiful afternoon, great So Cal weather, outside seating, friendly staff and beat lunch crowd. Delicious food. What more can you ask for!“
“This is an absolutely no frills restaurant with about 5 items on the menu, but they do them well. The monta (aka manti, mante) is the star of the show. Unlike other places that take a shortcut by using wonton skins, this place makes the dough from scratch and it really makes a difference. In addition to the baked monta, they also do a soup version in either tomato or yogurt. Their sou boereg ( Armenian cheese lasagna) is good also. All monta is cooked to order, so it does take a few minutes for your order to be ready, but it's totally worth the wait. Have an appetizer while waiting. You can also visit their sister restaurant in Pasadena, though it's tiny with only two tables on the sidewalk.P.S. I read some reviews saying that monta is supposed to be made with phyllo dough. Uh, no. I helped my mom and grandma make monta from scratch and they use the same dough you'll find here. And I was born in Lebanon, my grandmother was a Genocide survivor. So they know how to make it.“
“There is not very much seating in the inside and it's a very small space. Luckily it was a nice day outside, so we ate there. The Lulu plate was very good. Great seasoned beef matched perfectly with the rice. The chicken gyro was just okay. I like having tzatziki sauce in the gyro and it was not present. Instead, they make theirs with a sauce similar to mayonnaise, so I don't recommend that unless you prefer a more mayo flavor. Overall, good service and sizeable portions.“
“Very surprised by the quality. Ordered the ground chicken kebab (koobideh) and the white meat chicken kebab. The flavor and quality was great. Getting chicken Koobideh to be flavorful is an uphill battle since it’s just ground chicken. This was beautifully seasoned, charred and juicy. Generous portions of beautifully cooked rice with salad and grilled vegetables and pita bread round it all out for a very competitive price in this inflation age. I wish there was an M Grill closer to where I live in Joshua Tree.“

“The team here is great. I had the pleasure of hosting a party here in December, they allowed me to book the entire place for the night with full service and entertainment. The owners treat you like family and make sure you have the best experience. Their pricing is also so fair, it's hard to believe how good it is. They were very flexible to what I wanted the party to look alike and accommodated as needed. I wish I had better pictures of the initial time of the party, but here's what I could find. The food was a hit with my guests, everyone said their kabob was great. I personally loved all the side dishes too!“
“We had some delicious shawarma platters! The number of combinations you can make with the sides and upgrade to the fattoush salad is great. We had one chicken shawarma platter with rice, babaganoush, and labneh and one chicken shawarma platter with fattoush salad, garlic paste, and pita chips. All of it was very tasty. The garlic Toum was particularly good, as was the fattoush salad. Each platter comes with two thin pitas (the best kind). The shawarma was a more stewed chicken with onions and tomatoes than the usual kind of dry shredded off the skewer but it was so flavorful! Maybe best not to get it on rice because the ice absorbs all the liquid. We also got a cilantro jalapeno hummus that had a tiny bit of a kick. Everything was good, and the people were very friendly. We will have to come back to try more things!“

“I had a list of 10 Mediterranean places to go to lunch with my friend in Pasadena and I am glad I narrowed it down to this one. Now, I was a little weary about the food coming out as soon as we were paying BUT the food was pretty amazing. This just tells me that they are super efficient during lunchtime on a Saturday! The food was very flavorable and they have the best garlic spread I have ever eaten in my entire life! We will definitely be back! Not pictured here but don't miss out on the tzatziki either!“

So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat.Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time.All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list.
