“I did not have a reservation and the restaurant was really crowded on a Friday night. Yet they gave me space at the bar to enjoy the night as a solo traveller. Had a rose (brut) and some fantastic duck pasta. So so so delicious dinner and you cannot miss the panna cotta, Absolutely loved it as it wanted speed .Enjoyed the music and accompanying wine.Friendly bartenders, waiters and managers. Constantly checking on you making the environment so buzz.“
“Lady Hawk is a fantastic, trendy restaurant nestled within the Kimpton La Peer hotel. Securing reservations a few weeks in advance is essential due to its high demand. Upon visiting with my friends, we were thoroughly impressed. Every aspect, from the decor to the service and ambiance, exceeded our expectations. We opted for the Mezze platter, which turned out to be larger than anticipated but incredibly satisfying. We also indulged in the za'atar man'oushe, seared halloumi, shawarma skirt steak, and half chicken--all of which were delightful. Sharing is recommended, so keep that in mind when ordering. Despite leaving with leftovers, we were eager to return for more.“
“JoJo's Lebanese take on shawarma is flavorful and delicious, with soft and lightly seasoned meat atop tasty warm rice. The chili and garlic sauces that accompany the food are fresh made too and really add zing to the meal as I alternate what to dip the various meats into. It all came with a solid hummus, warm pita bread points, and a side salad, perfectly and lightly dressed in a lemony dressing w a hint of sumac that felt healthy...While the ambiance is not much here, JoJo's is really all about the food, and the owner's care and his very warm and accommodating staff are to be commended for the fine meals, generous portions, and all around top notch service they all provide as a team.Excellent food!Food 10/10Service 10/10“
“Hidden gem here at Sunset Marquis! We stayed 3 days here at the property the restaurant was a stones throw away from our villa and it did not disappoint! The breakfast each morning was top notch, and the service as well. They really know how to take care of their hotel guests. No matter what request we threw at them. I cannot wait to return to the property, and this restaurant.“
“I've been to Harlowe a few times but only when it's a bar and have always enjoyed the vibe there. This time, a friend and I decided to go for dinner. We heard there was a new chef and the menu had changed so we decided to give it a try and we're so happy we did! We started off with the hummus board, which was amazing and chef Alex told us he makes the hummus from scratch. For the main dish, I ordered the burger which was perfectly sized especially for a multi course meal. Lastly, Alex recommended the gelato for dessert. There are three different flavors, and each has their own distinct taste and texture, and are delicious! Highly recommend the "We Are All Mad Here" cocktail to sip on while enjoying Chef Alex's food. Come check it out!“
“This place NEVER disappoints! The food is always cooked right and the customer service we got from " Pine" at the cashier was amazing they need people like her. Super happy that Zankou opened this location...I couldn't stand the Hollywood Sunset/Normandie location.“
“I've been here a few times over the years always for happy hour. It's a beautiful place with antiques and old photos all over the place. Service is friendly and good. The libations are tasty. This last time got fries and crispy string beans as well. The string beans are really tasty. You don't get a huge amount for $9 but they sure are flavorful. It gets lively here and they have a bit of a dance floor. Personally I feel like they tend to play their music a hair too loud cause I find it hard to hear others when it's loud but maybe I'm just getting cranky and older.“
“Casa Madera is now my new favorite brunch spot in LA. The atmosphere is phenomenal and the views from the rooftop are spectacular. The DJ/music is a great touch. I ordered the omelette and the waffle and it was the perfect mix of savory and sweet. Wine list is great. I will definitely be coming back!“
“We absolutely LOVED our experience at Sur!! The restaurant was beautiful, the service was incredible (shout-out Israel!!), our food was FANTASTIC (goat cheese balls, spicy rigatoni and lobster mashed potatoes!) and we loved the drinks!! I would 100% go back!!Only downside was that we were really excited to meet Peter and he wasn’t super friendly with us, which is a bummer because we were looking forward to meeting VPR people as part of our experience, but we did get a picture with him in the end!Would recommend Sur to anyone!“
“I wish it was possible to give this place higher than 5 stars. We had such an incredible dinner during our weekend trip to LA.First off; the atmosphere is awesome. The open dining room, along with the lighting and music make the perfect setup for a fun/modern environment. We started off with cocktails and both really enjoyed them. For appetizers we chose the pork belly sliders based off of reviews online. I personally wasn’t blow away by them, but my girlfriend really enjoyed them. We also decided to share the truffle flatbread and WOW. This was quite easily the best part of the meal. The dough was perfect and the truffle sauce on top was incredible. Do yourself a favor and order this! For the entrees; we both opted for one of the pasta dishes. Sticking with the same theme my girlfriend got the truffle pasta. She absolutely loved it, I tried a bite and was jealous I didn’t order that myself. I chose the sweet potato gnocchi with short rib and it was very good. It probably could have used some more salt. And just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better…we ordered desert. We were going to get the churros since many reviews online talked about them, BUT based off of our server’s recommendation we ordered the chocolate cake instead. No words…just delicious. We were so content after that. We both are in agreement that this was one of the best meals we’ve had at a restaurant in a while.“
