Another great name, for this place would be "Murder, She Wrote" Café. Think of it is the kind of cozy place you can tuck into delicious coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, and quiche, while enjoying the murmur of nearby tables, surrounded indoors by books and outdoors by flowering trees. Cute little place that I'm glad we finally got to visit! I got the spinach salad and my friend got the curried chicken salad and we split the small sizes. Not sure why I never thought of curry added to mayonnaise in chicken salad before but it was delish! Then we got the cheesecake bar and peanut butter chocolate bar and split them. Both were yummy. Nice staff. Parking behind.

Penelope's is so cute and comfy, and I'm so glad I've discovered it! A friend brought me here for lunch, and it's a gem -- particularly the outdoor patio, which has so much cover from trees, umbrellas and awnings that it's likely pleasant even on a very hot day. The staff is friendly and helpful, including Penelope herself! Food is fresh, very tasty, and reasonably priced. They have just enough variety on the menu to please everyone. I'm looking forward to going back!
