“My favorite Korean spot in Los Angeles. Did some research online for good kimchi and discovered this place. Their kimchi is fantastic, but then I also discovered this entire meal. This is perfect comfort food. Sunday mornings. Rainy afternoons or pretty much anytime you need something soupy in your life.“
“Jinsol gukbap was amazing!!! I really loved the sundae gukbap!! It had almost everything in pork . But there was sundae. The service person wasn’t really paying much attention because they were very busy. But I still understand that they are busy.“
“Best Peruvian food I've ever had! Their ceviche mixto is insanely flavorful!! I like to get it with no spice and get the spice on the side to add to taste, but if you can handle spicy then get it spicy and enjoy!! The fish is so soft and all the other seafood compliments each other well with the yummy sour lime taste. The mini sides of choclo (sweet corn), cancha (corn kernels), and sweet potato add so much texture and flavor to the overall dish. Definitely a must try! Lots of their other dishes are really delicious as well, so feel free to try them as well. Plus the bread the serve while you wait for your food is freshly baked and warm, and their green aji verde sauce is phenomenal!! ?“
“Wow! The best marinated pork ribs! Come on down to Jin Ju. It isn't an all you can eat spot, but you can't beat the quality. My friend and I decided to try the prime beef and the marinated pork ribs (which is their speciality). Both meats were very delicious. They pretty much cook your food for you. The beef was cut into nice cubes. They were cooked at a perfect medium rare. The prok ribs were also cut into pieces, as well. There was a good selection of 10 types of banchan: fishcake (eomuk bokkeum), sesame broccoli, kimchi, potato salad, cucumber kimchi (sigeumchi-namul), stir-fried glass noodles (japchae), korean spinach, pickled onions, bean sprouts (kongnamul), pancake (yachaejeon), and radish kimchi (kkakdugi) . And honestly, this spot has one of the better quality banchan sides. The japchae had so much flavor, and the potato salad was also good. I appreciated that they offered the pickled onions, which goes really well with the marinated pork. My friend was also excited that they had korean spinach, which most places don't have at all. We also ordered the red pepper paste soup. It was so good! Rick and full of flavor. There's enough seating for 2-6 people to each table. It's not too big of a spot, so if you're trying to get away from the long lined spots - this is the spot to be. Service is quick and friendly. There is free parking in the lot if you're lucky. If not, you can find free street parking.“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“
“I've eaten here multiple times and the food has always been stellar - if I could rate higher than 5* I would. I particularly love the 然面 and 担担面 but you truly can't go wrong here. Just don't forget to mix your noodles 18 times! Truly one of my favourite spots in SGV and a place I'll continue to visit “
“We wanted something healthy but flavorful for dinner and happened upon this place in the neighborhood, pretty no frills on the inside. Clearly a big focus on deliveries, but there's plenty of tables. We each got a steak banh mi and WOW was it good! So much flavor, and the bread was perfect; hard enough to hold it together, but easy to bite into. The crispy spring rolls were perfect as well, clearly freshly made and decently sized. We also split some noodles and were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. Definitely will be back.“
“We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“
“Best beef noodle soup that is sanitary! I say this because there are some very yummy shops in SGV for beef noodle soup but your stomach would not appreciate them. Really generous with the meat and tendons. The broth is amazing and tastes super authentic. There can be a wait if you come around noon on weekends where they get the lunch rush. I would come here right after they open to dodge the wait. I overheard roughly 30 minutes wait when I was leaving so not sure how bad it could get. They also accept Apple Pay, credit cards, debit cards, and obviously cash.I genuinely love this place!! They also have 椰果奶茶(coconut milk tea??) that tastes reminiscent of 五十嵐in Taiwan (50 lan/Wushiland, but the coconut drink isn’t sold in their US locations). A bit sweet but maybe they can adjust it down. I just watered mine down and it tasted great.“
“This is an absolutely no frills restaurant with about 5 items on the menu, but they do them well. The monta (aka manti, mante) is the star of the show. Unlike other places that take a shortcut by using wonton skins, this place makes the dough from scratch and it really makes a difference. In addition to the baked monta, they also do a soup version in either tomato or yogurt. Their sou boereg ( Armenian cheese lasagna) is good also. All monta is cooked to order, so it does take a few minutes for your order to be ready, but it's totally worth the wait. Have an appetizer while waiting. You can also visit their sister restaurant in Pasadena, though it's tiny with only two tables on the sidewalk.P.S. I read some reviews saying that monta is supposed to be made with phyllo dough. Uh, no. I helped my mom and grandma make monta from scratch and they use the same dough you'll find here. And I was born in Lebanon, my grandmother was a Genocide survivor. So they know how to make it.“
“One of our favorite Hollywood restaurants!! A hidden gem not to miss. Authentic thai cuisine at very reasonable prices.Have eaten for a couple decades in Thai Town but only went to Siam Sunset a few years ago. This was the first place I've ever eaten pad kra pao & it has become my favorite Thai dish! And Siam easily makes it the best!Only knock is there's no on site parking, but street parking is usually not too tough depending on the day. Still it's worth the walk.Would give it six stars if it were possible.“
“It was my first time dining at Thai Central. It is a gem in East Hollywood for a Thai food. The food is very tasty. We ordered a few things, Kao Clook Ka phi, Boat noodle, and Papaya salad - the was delicious. And awesome service - from getting our order in and getting the food from the kitchen to our table. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant. We dropped the lid of something on the floor , and the server took the lid from us, he cleaned it and brought it back - impressive. Very nice and friendly servers, great food!“
“Decided to give it a try today since it was on my route home. Ordered the farmer style pork and green pepper. It's not the usual fatty pork you'd get from other chinese food places, but it's delicious either way. Less fatty, but still full of flavor. Portion is what you paid for. Spicy level is true to what spicy is all about. Will come again to try their mapo tofu and kungfu boiled beef since from this simple dish alone it does look promising.“
“The food was ok tasting (we ordered the seafood pancake, soft tofu soup, bulgogi and mackerel) and the wait staff courteous. The banchan options were delicious. The place is a no frills mom and pop restaurant located in a shopping strip center.“
“Getting the Yang Ji Sulung Tang was an absolute delight! The beef was perfect—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right, making every bite a memorable experience. It’s clear that Sun Bang Dan in DTLA places a high emphasis on quality and authenticity. I highly recommend trying it out; it’s a dish that truly showcases the best of their menu. Will definitely be returning for more!“
“Small quiet hole in the wall dine in restaurant that serves authentic Korean cuisine. Had the assorted meat hot pot served with additional creamy white beef broth. Of course couldn't leave without trying their Wild Yam/Beet colored cold noodle dish...Delicious! Service was also great and private parking available.“
“A friend and I came on a rainy evening because our usual Gejang place was closed - and by chance, it was the best thing we decided! We ordered the set A combo, which came with spicy crab stew on a propane burner (it had two whole crabs, one blue one flower I think), kimchi jeon, one soy sauce crab and a small order of spicy marinated crabs. Every single dish, even the banchan were all so delicious (we ate all the banchan clean). Compared to our other haunt, their gejang had much less cinnamon but were so delicious in comparison. Flavorful and aromatic, but not so much so that it's too intense. I *need* to come back for their gejang, eating out of the shell was an experience. We also ordered an extra portion of spicy crabs because my friend fell in love with the sauce (it's like gochujang but a bit spicier, and more full bodied), and it was considerably bigger than the portion that came with the meal set, but we couldn't finish it anyway lol.Since it was late (they close at 930pm, we got there a little after 830ish), it was just the old couple there but they were so so helpful and attentive despite the language barrier. They taught us to mix the rice in with the crab innards and to remember to scrape out the golden goodness from the insides, gave us extra banchan and so nicely packaged our leftovers to go. They even taught us how to say tasty in Korean - 맛있어요!!We'll bring our friends back for sure - this place is family style so get ready to share!! This is probably replacing our old go-to cause it was just so good. Good food transcends words!!!!!Parking: Valet - clerk came into the restaurant to ask for our ticket shortly after arriving, but we used a ride share to get here.“
“Pescatarian/ vegetarian options! I was surprised I got through on telephone to ask about their menu options. Whoever answered the phone had great customer service and was patient and hospitable with my takeout order. Parking lot was a bit stressful and tight space wise. Some of the best Vietnamese I’ve had in the Los Angeles area though !Vegetarian options: Banh mi“
“Nice local Vietnamese restaurant that I've come to a few times. Staff is a friendly and the food was quite delicious! I had some beef spring rolls and a vermicelli dish with meatballs. Both were very good and I had to bring one of the spring rolls home as it was a lot of food. Would recommend trying it out if you're craving some Vietnamese cuisine.“
“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants for really great food. I believe this place is Michelin rated. I'm not surprised. My favorite is the crispy shrimp/prawns. They must use super hot oil to get the shrimp shells to be so light and crispy. You can eat the whole shrimp, shell, tail and all!Today, the 2 of us had the beef brisket with quail eggs and the zhajianmein, a noodle dish using black bean sauce. Both very good. Very flavorful.Good service. They have set a high bar. Many new restaurants are trying to outclass and outdo Bistro Na. I was surprised to get seating for 2 on a busy afternoon after church. Maybe the others are out trying the new contenders?“
“Mountain Cafe, referred to as SAN in Korean, is a cult classic in Koreatown, with every dish earning a stellar 10/10 rating. It stands out for offering warm Jang-jorim as banchan, a unique feature in the neighborhood. For those visiting for the first time, the abalone porridge and whole chicken soup are essential choices. Additionally, the beef bulgogi appetizer, available for under $8 is a steal.“
“I came here with my family on a Sunday evening. It's a sit down restaurant but not overly formal. The food here is delicious. I had the chicken karaage bowl that had great flavor and texture. The udon noodles and soup base were delicious as well. Can't wait to try other items on the menu.“
“Not a particularly large interior but well spaced tables. You order on an ipad screen at your own leisure.Ordered the half green onion and half garlic bossam with the pork belly kimchi stew.I highly recommend the garlic bossam if you enjoy garlic. The garlic mince is slightly sweet and pairs nicely with the pork. I personally didn't enjoy the green onion bossam as much because it's topped with a fermented soybean sauce, and in my opinion, the meat tasted significantly more gamey. The kimchi stew was really tasty. The spice level was perfect for someone like me who often orders mild or no spice dishes. It had a kick without being painful. The only complaint I would have is that the pork was quite dry and chewy. Also, rice is not automatically served with and you need to request it.For the banchan, the radish kimchi was a highlight while the pasta salad was very disappointing (it kind of just tasted like whole wheat bread but in a pasta form). Our server did a great job despite being the only one working the front.Parking: A small to medium sized parking lot shared by all the stores in that mall.“
“First time dining in at Lunasia Pasadena and it won't be our last! We attended an event at the Pasadena convention center on 3/9/24. We walked around to find a good place for dinner and Yelp guided us to. Lunasia. We checked in and got on the waitlist. A few minutes later, we were greeted and got seated. It was nice to not have to wait for a while as the restaurant seemed busy. We placed our order online and not long after, our food started to arrive. Everything was delicious! We ordered a lot! Shumai, hargow, seafood pan fried noodles, salt and pepper suid, salt and pepper pork chops, orange chicken, shrimp eggrolls, pork soup dumplings, deep fried chicken wings, pork puff and sesame red bean balls. Everything was tasty and delicious! How you expect some food to be crunchy, they were crunchy! Those that are supposed to be moist and juicy, they were! The flavors of each item were on point! Can't stop talking about how good the food was. Prices are comparable to others. Servings were good portions. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff worked as a team and they took care of everyone that needed anything. The ambiance was also great. Modern and clean. They also have an upstairs so they can accommodate large groups. They are located in Pasadena on Colorado blvd. We parked at PCC for $15 and it was worth it. It was close to a mall and other restaurants. If you haven't tried Lunasia and you love shumai, you have to try this place bc you will love everything about it!“
“Don't get fooled by the size of the place, when you walk into Lily's, you are immidiately transported to a European café. For an hour, I forgot I was in California. The food, the atmosphere and Lily's charm made it a memorable lunch break!“
“Fast service, the crispiest roast pork I've had, friendly servers. It was not so crowded on a week night for dinner and some - some couples, some folks alone. There's also a separate room on the side that seems like it could fit 30-50. Dying to try the crispy pork belly! Big portions. I'll definitely come back.“
“Well I went to “Sun Nong Dan” first, but experienced some terrible behavior from the server seating us. So I left and took a leap of faith and went to the restaurant next door. I was so happy with this decision! The service was amazing. Everyone was kind and attentive. The spicy beef soup was on point too. I will absolutely be coming back!“
“Ding Tai Fung: A Five-Star Culinary Delight! Exquisite flavors, impeccable service, and an ambiance that transports you to the heart of Asia. From the delectable dumplings to the mouthwatering dishes, every bite is a heavenly experience. The attention to detail and the dedication of the staff create an unforgettable dining affair. Prepare to indulge in a gastronomic journey that will leave you craving for more. Truly deserving of its five-star reputation!“
“A very good place if you want to try out Henan food, reasonably priced, not many choices, check the food before you go. But I bet most of the customers are the same people who go there often. Like it.Look at the code dish, Enough for a big “
“The parking structure right behind it can get pretty packed, but we have never had trouble parking there during prime dinner time. We have also never waited to be seated here, although the restaurant is quite bustling. Service is polite and very quick. If you are hungry, come here as your food comes out fast. The soup tastes light, but flavorful. Compared to other pho restaurants in the area, I feel like the broth does not rely on seasonings as much for flavor. They are also generous with the meat in the soups. The large doesn't look much larger than the medium, but it actually is. I can easily finish a medium soup, but cannot finish the large at all.The inside is clean and casual, with minimal decor. Perfect for a quick, casual meal with friends.“
“I came here on Chinese New Year with my family and it was packed. We had to wait in line for about an hour before they opened because otherwise we'd have to wait. I'm not surprised about the line and wait because the food was very good at a reasonable price. I will come back again!“
“Small restaurant/ cafe that specializes in noodles and dumplings. And more specifically, shanxi knife-cut noodles. The place feels family owned and operated and this was reflected in the friendly, warm service. I came in on a cold evening, looking for some warm soup. So I ordered the beef noodle soup. I ended choosing the thinner, hand stretched noodles (as apposed to the thicker knife cut variety), because it seemed like it would go better in the soup. The noodles were very well done and chewy. Great texture to go along with the comforting spicy broth. I also ordered fish and leek dumplings. Great flavor and structure. I took most to go because the two dishes I ordered was a lot of food. I enjoyed the vibe here. While I was eating, there were two ladies preparing dumplings off to the side. It reminded me of my mom and aunt when I visit my parents. So there was a nostalgic factor. Like a lot of other restaurants in the area that I really enjoy, this place feels like a great value for delicious noodles and dumplings because of their great selection and very reasonable prices.“
“Truly a local gem. Its one of those places that where you feel like you are home and you get a warm and fuzzy hug from your loving grandma and being served an amazing, silky, smooth substantial, flavorful broth. The banchan is also part of the experience, where your palate is primed for that comfortable wonderful feeling from the soup.“
“I came to this place with my friend today, and I absolutely loved it. The beef noodle pho was so comforting and the portion size was amazing. The ladies were super sweet. every dish we got was so flavorful and delicious even the drinks! I would totally come back here if I’m back in LA.“
“When I get sore throat, I love eating their beef brisket soup. I love miso flavor, so I order to go & add miso at home.Parking: It shares the parking lot with other popular restaurants & a super market, so you may not find a parking spot right by, depending on the time of the day.“
“I tried this place because of a recommendation from a friend. Was also with a vegetarian friend too, we had no issues accommodating her vegetarian requirements. Even my meat eating friend enjoyed the vegetarian options. The meat was good too.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Plenty of diet options, even vegan.Parking: It's very crowded here, good luck finding parking especially on the top levelKid-friendliness: They provide extra plates and other accommodations for your kidsWheelchair accessibility: Basic services“
“Yummy pho and spring rolls! Came here after a late class and we are very grateful for such kind and quick service. The children's drawings on the walls gave me nonstalgia to drawing in my youth and it is evident the store owners care about their customers. Made my night, thank you :)Parking: Street Parking“
“Soondae is the korean blood sausage and if you’ve been looking for a good soondae place, you’re probably going to like this one. The menu is simple, it’s either soondae plate or soups. If you want both, there’s a combo too( a small plate of soondae and soondae soup). I always get their spicy soondae soup. It has two different types of soondae, one is chewy (full of glass noodles) and the other is soft (mixed with vegetables), and some pork meats. It’s not that spicy by the way. They ask you if you want everything in your soup. If you prefer something different, you let them know. You don’t get many side dishes, but you’ll see why. The soup itself is so rich and thick with countless toppings. I get so full every time I finish the soup. Can’t eat anything after. ?“
“Plenty kinds of noodles. It's authentic restaurant. You can pick up the slides and take out. The flavor of tomato soup is rich and sweet. The beef inside is soft and tender. And the volume is soooo big and full. The lamp kebab is also good. The dining experience is good and the food delivery speed is fast. The environment here is clean and bright. It is a large noodle shop with many types of soups to choose from, such as braised tomato soup with oil, pork bones and golden soup. waitYou can choose the type of noodles from thin noodles to wide noodles similar to shaved noodles. There are also a variety of side dishes and drinks to choose from.Tomato Beef Noodles have a strong tomato flavor. There is a lot of beef and it is very tender. The overall portion is so large that two people can eat one bowl. The oil is a bit oily but very fragrant. The mutton skewers are very fragrant and the dipping sauce is also very fragrant. The environment is very clean and bright, and the food is served very quickly. Recommended“
“Food was delicious, i wish i took a photo but i got yukgaejang with extra meet. And let me tell you they did not disappoint or skimp out one bit. It was kinda hard to find though and it's in la but besides that, there are no negativesVegetarian options: If you like mushrooms then they have vegetarian options for you.Parking: Street parking sucks but they do have a parking area that was pretty empty i just didn't know they had one and parked in the street“
“the staff is so kind, and try to save you money by giving you the lunch combo if the dish you order is available in that form.we have enjoyed the bean curd sheets with mustard greens, eggplant, general tso's chicken (mushrooms), sizzling tofu, soft tofu with crispy beans, and ended with the sesame balls. what a delightful meal.“
“We came here on a Saturday night and the place was empty. We ordered the beef brisket and intestines hotpot and 2 rice. It was amazing! The broth was super tasty. We also tried ordering a cold noodle on the side but our server told us that the hotpot is big. And good thing we didn't order more cause the hotpot was more than enough for 2 ppl.Our server didn't speak much english but she was very nice. We got by with gesturing and smiling lol. We will come back again the next time we're craving intestines.“
“Drove by this place a lot while we went shopping at Good Fortune Market across street. My husband is a big fan of pan fried buns so we decided to check it out. Before came here, I looked at their menu and it had extensive and authentic flavors for dumplings and pies. That’s how I knew they were legit!!We came on a rainy Saturday around 11:30am there were only two other tables. I feel on a nice day it would be busier. For food we got:- pork scallion pie (5/5). Wowwwww a must try!! It was so juicy and flavorful. The outside is perfectly crispy. This is our favorite and we definitely will try other flavors next time.- pan fried chicken mushroom dumplings (5/5). I love the dumpling skin as you can taste the slightly chew and that’s how you know it’s handmade!- cucumber salad (5/5). Very refreshing and balance out the richness of all the fried dumplings.- pan fried bun (4/5). This is probably my least favorite although it’s still pretty good. It doesn’t have much juice as I thought it would like the pie. So I’ll stick with the pies next time.No fuss service. You order via QR code and food comes out around 10-15 minutes. They have a sign to explain the 15 min wait due to all handmade to order which is well worth it!! This has become our new go-to for weekend brunch.“
“We are visiting from Colorado and stopped by for a bogo 50% off roll, we had the dragon roll and another roll, and I can't recall the name. Sorry Anyway, our server was very attentive, friendly, and helpful he knocked it out of the park!As for prices with the bogo, we paid 25 dollars for 2 rolls and were very much satisfied.100% would recommend you try them out for fast friendly service and great price for tasty sushi!“
“Checked out P P Pop after a hearing great things on TikTok, and it was amazing! Definitely stop by if you're near the 626 area. The potstickers are so crispy on the outside, with a perfect golden brown layer and an incredibly juicy, flavorful filling. For noodles we got the beef noodle soup. It was a bowl of comfort, with rich broth, tender beef, and perfectly cooked noodles that hit the spot. These two were my favorite dishes here. We also got their xiao long bao and juicy pork buns, with every bite a flavor explosion. The service was prompt and friendly, with a cozy atmosphere. I can't wait to return to explore more of their menu. If you're a fan of Chinese cuisine or just looking for a spot with exceptional potstickers, this is the place to be!“
“I always come here for a delicious meal. However, whenever I come here recently, I have additional requests or questions, and when I ask them, a particular server often shows signs of being a bit uncomfortable. Even if it tastes good, I don't think it will be good. Mubongri is the best pork belly restaurant in town, so I bring customers... but every time I come, I feel uncomfortable because of that person... so I think I'll be reluctant to come because of the unfriendly service. As expected, the kkakdugi fried rice and noodles are delicious. Service is separate..“
“Ya gotta order correctly, but this place has some great burritos, tacos, and pupusas.Asada - solid!Chicken - Nice and not greasy!Conchinita Pibil - their specialty and very good! All the burritos have great distribution of ingredients. Tasty rice. It's not as big as you dream it will be, but it's hearty and you'll be glad it wasn't enormous when you finish it.They will do a chili relleno burrito. Their vegetarian burrito is also solid.Skip their soup. Also, not a seafood spot.Don't sleep on their amazing habañero salsa - they sell it by the jar too.Vegetarian options: Great veggie burrito“
“A fabulous quaint restaurant with very very excellent food….Our second experience here and the food is so amazing…..I’m not a spicy fan of food but their food was just enough spice and perfectly balanced with spice and made perfectly to please the palate…I highly , Highly recommend this exceptional restaurant and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and taste is right on target….We will be back….“
“This place has great service, the parking isn't crowded, the atmosphere is pleasant and enjoyable to have dinner. The portions are huge as well. I was very surprised. A small would feed 2 people easy, cost is $59. Comes with pork rib soup, steamed egg, and dessert.“
