“My latest visit to Curbside Eatery was nothing short of fantastic! As someone who was particularly keen on avoiding long waits, I was delighted with the prompt seating we received outdoors. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we were comfortably settled without any delay.To top it off, despite the chilly evening, we were offered cozy blankets and had an outdoor heater close by, adding a touch of warmth to our dining experience—literally and figuratively!As always, the food was excellent. I had the fried shrimp with fries, which was cooked to perfection; crispy on the outside, yet succulent on the inside. It’s a dish I find myself returning to time and again, and it never disappoints.I highly recommend Curbside Eatery for anyone looking for a delightful meal with the added convenience of great outdoor accommodations. “Great service and amazing beer! We got a chance to taste their traditional beers as well as some of their experimental beers. The staff gave us an in depth description of the ideas behind their experimental beers and made for a great night out! Will come again and I highly recommend this spot. An up and coming gem in SD.“

“still here at the moment. this place is a cozy, hole in the wall establishment. the smash burger they have here is intoxicating all on it's own, it literally melts in your mouth. I added some fries on the side and my drink of choice was the natural red wine. I paired these fantastic options with the outdoor seating that is located in the back. I chose this place because it's within walking distance of where I live. I'm glad it's nearby, because I'll be coming back again. It's my first time here by the way. 5 out of 5 ! Also, let me add that the music playlist they have in rotation is curated perfectly well. Good vibes to say the least.“

“The staff is really what makes this place. Im an avid music lover, so the cuban band made it feel like a little vacation. The food was great ( had the pot pie and brie) The bartender was kind, and its owned by a husband and wife, no big corporate owners/groups. The decor is fabulous, lots of attention to detail. it feels very intimate, nice place for an event! highly recommend“

“We had lunch with my wife today at this place, and let me tell you, the food was amazing, the place looks great on the inside ( can’t talk much about the atmosphere,because we literally show up almost as soon as they opened for the day so it was empty), but the food ( once again) is to die for, not lie, so so good. “Cool and relaxed San Diego bar close to Balboa park. Free parking in a garage right around the corner! The Ahi nachos were recommended but they were too hard to eat on narrow pasta chips! Drinks were tasty and beer selection was good. Definately will go again and try different appetizers!“

“We recently stopped into Bootlegger for a bite and a beverage. Shasta waited on us and was an excellent server. We decided to split a build a burger and ordered a beer each. The burger was enormous and delicious - Thursdays they are on special and you can get as many toppings as you like with no up charges. It’s a good deal. The fries were a bit disappointing because they weren’t crispy enough and kind of soft/limp. It wasn’t super busy the day we went but I imagine during baseball season or weekends it gets pretty crowded there. Bootlegger has a large selection of brews on top. We will definitely be back again.“

“I really don’t get the bad reviews… I’ve been coming here almost every week for almost a year now… it’s always a great time, any food that I have tried has always been fresh, hot and tasty. The beer selection is immense and delicious (get the bad apple cider… it’s the bees knees). I feel like anyone that had a bad experience… was a Karen ? or privileged. The owner is the best, super kind and has a great sense of humor. The other girl that gets behind the bar is also super nice and attentive.The bar is always clean and the regulars are also nice and welcoming. It’s almost like your family bar.
