“Went here for the first time today. Was a late lunch and we were the only customers there. My wife ordered the Chnpon ramen I had the fried chicken ramen. We were served promptly by the efficient server. Both our dishes were flavorful and generous portions. Hard to understand the few reviewers who felt the food was bland. My wife has visited Japan and felt this was an authentic Japanese Raman . This is our go to ramen place. Highly recommended!“

“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“
“Finally got to try Fennel Bistro during my lunch work hours and it was very satisfying. The meats were cooked deliciously and the flavors were spot on. The clay rice was crispy and well flavored. The meat to rice ratio was perfect for my preference. The place is simplistic and clean. Random, but it was fun to see the steam rise from the clay pots every so often inside, and it feels like a huge humidifier. No issues at all with the service, our waitress was very kind to explain how to pick out and order the clay pot combos.“

“A hidden gem in Diamond Bar!!! And they actually open until 10pm. For Diamond Bar standards that's pretty late. We love Tofu Bean - Diamond Bar. This Tofu Bean is owned by the same great owner of the Tofu Bean of Rowland Heights. Their Banchan (side dishes) are the best. The potato side dish and kimchi are my favorites. When you order a combination, the tofu soup is the same size as the regular tofu soup orders. Check them out - I highly recommend.“

The place feels family owned and operated and this was reflected in the friendly, warm service. I came in on a cold evening, looking for some warm soup. So I ordered the beef noodle soup. I ended choosing the thinner, hand stretched noodles (as apposed to the thicker knife cut variety), because it seemed like it would go better in the soup. The noodles were very well done and chewy. Great texture to go along with the comforting spicy broth. I also ordered fish and leek dumplings. Great flavor and structure. I took most to go because the two dishes I ordered was a lot of food. I enjoyed the vibe here. While I was eating, there were two ladies preparing dumplings off to the side. It reminded me of my mom and aunt when I visit my parents. So there was a nostalgic factor. Like a lot of other restaurants in the area that I really enjoy, this place feels like a great value for delicious noodles and dumplings because of their great selection and very reasonable prices.“

He was very easy to work with and made sure my order was correct. We were also able to borrow their chafing dishes which was a huge plus! On the day of the party, the food was ready to go when we picked it up and was easy to set up at our house with their provided instructions. All of the food was great and a huge hit at our party. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. “Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“

“Visited this establishment the other day. It is a small venue, but the people who work here make you feel welcome. I tried some empanadas (shrimp) were delicious! I had a campechana cocktail and a tostada de camarón. Both of these were also delicious. I loved the chips and salsa and I appreciated the fact that the food here is made fresh as soon as you order. The service here is great. The ladies who work here are courteous and very friendly. It was a good first impression and I would definitely come back to dine here.“
