“Nick's is a wonderful place in the heart of Laguna Beach, right across from the beach. You'll need a reservation.Ambiance is crowded and noisy. Hey, it's a popular joint. Booths give you some room.Service is courteous and knowledgeable. Highly rated. The food is very good, and the menu covers a lot of ground. Shrimp taquitos are the start of starters, but Bacon deviled eggs and asparagus fries are great too.The Bistro Plate is a fun sampler type of entree. San Francisco Cioppino is top notch. For a sandwich, give the Prime Rib Dip a go (while it's available each day).Dessert: Warm Butter Cake! A must.House cocktails are tasty. Wine menu isn't very deep or broad, but adequate for what you might want.”
“This is by far one of the best experiences. My husband and I travel all over the world . My daughter is now attending college in Laguna. We now can say this is one of our favorite spot to eat in the world. The chef prepares everything with precision. The staff is kind . You MUST try Rebel for lunch or dinner !!”
“After a long day at a conference at The Ritz, ten of us took an uber to this gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. The smell of wood-fired pizza immediately set my mind on pizza and wine. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Everyone in our party raved about the food they ordered. Our server was delightful, fun, and knowledgable and she managed our party perfectly. I look forward to returning.”
“If you're looking for the perfect place for a special occasion with great food, drinks, atmosphere and excellent service the staff and our waiter were great. It sits on the cliff over the ocean the view is amazing. I can't wait to go there again”
“The food is quite good and seems really fresh. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The only problem we encountered was getting our mixed vegetables way before our entrees arrived. They would have been much warmer arriving with the main meal. Otherwise, all was good.”

“I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience it offered. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the stage for what was to become an unforgettable evening. The fusion of great food, an impressive beer selection, and live music created an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. The culinary journey began with a salad that was far from ordinary. The freshness of the ingredients, paired with a dressing that perfectly balanced acidity and sweetness, made for a promising start. However, it was the sea bass that truly stole the show. Cooked to perfection, the fish was flaky and moist, with a crust that added just the right amount of texture. Each bite was a testament to the chef's ability to elevate simple ingredients into something extraordinary. Not to be overlooked, the beer selection was commendable. Each option was carefully selected to complement the menu, offering a variety of styles and flavors that catered to both casual beer drinkers and connoisseurs alike. It was evident that "The Drake" places a high emphasis on providing a holistic dining experience, where food, drink, and atmosphere harmonize to leave a lasting impression. The live music added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. The selection of music was thoughtful, enhancing the dining experience without overwhelming it. It was the perfect backdrop to a night of indulgence, contributing to the overall sense of satisfaction and contentment.Above all, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout the evening. It's rare to find a place where every aspect of the experience is executed with such care and precision. In conclusion, "The Drake" in Laguna Beach is a gem that offers not just a meal, but an experience.”
“Incredible ragu! Meatballs; soft, cooked perfect…Only not nice thing was the toilets… the place of it, I could see some dirty areas close to the kitchen… the cabinet was dripping water..They were too busy I can understand that.Still really good and I recommend!”
“I am going to be honest, it’s taken me a long time to get to this review. To be frank, I just do not have the vocabulary to accurately describe my experiences at Broadway. I’ll get to the important details. The food, and I mean the whole menu, is fantastic. Do you see an ingredient in the menu that you think you normally don’t like? Order it. You will be blown away at how good they make it taste. There’s literally not a bad item on the menu. The staff? Some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The chefs? They manage to be both highly skilled and incredibly entertaining.”

“My second time here and have to say the first time here wasn't a good experience food wise it was really salty but I figured it was just a bad night. 2nd time around was a complete opposite my wife and I got the Filet Mignon and was perfectly cooked mash potatoes were also a good choice I really liked the place and vibe will definitely return as the service was excellent.”

“Brunch is delicious here. Looks like coffee is complementary. Began stacks was amazing, and the vegan toast. French toast is delicious as well. Service was good. Just beside the restaurant you can walk straight down to Anita beach.”
“The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything was fresh! Best Chinese food I've had in a very long time & great location in Laguna Beach. Highly recommended!”

“Ariel provided outstanding service that made our overall experience that much better - she was friendly and very kind. This is easily one of our favorite pizza spots in all of Orange County - great food and delightful staff.”
“My family decided to eat lunch here. We had ceviche, chowder for appetizers and scallops, fish and chips, and sea bass for the main entrees. All tasty and came with great portions. All seafoods and salads are extremely fresh and refreshing with lemon flavored sauces. Servers are very kind. One downside is that fried sea bass was very dry and not tender at all. Halibut was juicy and tender but dried Sea Bass?”

“My husband got the iced salted cream cold brew and I go the iced Lavendar vanilla latte. Both were so delicious! My husband got the Eggs Heidelberg and wouldn't get it again. The flavors didn't work for him. I got the Almond French Toast and I was in heaven!!! It was absolutely amazing and I would go there every morning for breakfast to eat that if I could!! 10/10 recommend. It's a self-service place, but the cashier/barista who took our order was nice. We sat in the far corner to have an ocean view and we loved it.”

“The best açaí I’ve ever had. And I’m from Brazil and know what a good and authentic açaí is! And the service at this place is outstanding! Our attendant Bryan was very kind and attentive with our order! Loved it! Thank you!”
“My friend and I ordered the Velvet Bowl and Bountiful Bowl. We LOVED our acai bowls. Great flavor and fresh ingredients. You can't beat the location and view of the ocean.”
“We had the Veggie Burrito and Salmon & Calamari Taco. Both was really good. Much better than the usual Mexican food you find at chain restaurants. Sat outside in the sun.”
“Always love the food, atmosphere and views at South of Nick’s! Sat at the bar, service was great. We had a chicken taco meal and their special shrimp plate. A bit expensive with drinks was over $50pp, but worthwhile.”
“VERY dark indoor dining atmosphere... Need to use your phone flashlight for menu reading after sunset! But their outdoor dining area is very enjoyable. They have an amazing Happy Hour menu and fantastic drinks!Very eclectic menu with many unique Thai options!”

“This isn't your typical surf shack joint. Typical beach cafes don't serve beef short rib sandwiches. Much of their menu is a step above what you'd likely be expecting from a location like this. From the outside it looks unassuming and familiar. You walk up, order, find a spot and grub. As far as I can tell, you don't need shoes or a shirt just an appetite. It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good. They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb. You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.”
“We had the Veggie Burrito and Salmon & Calamari Taco. Both was really good. Much better than the usual Mexican food you find at chain restaurants. Sat outside in the sun.”
“The coffee is so good! Even their decaf was incredible, good decaf is difficult to find so this was a win for sure! The baristas definitely know what they’re doing. No burnt drinks and the shots were pulled perfectly!”

“Cute little restaurant next to the Cottage. Great breakfast. Apple pancake tasty bacon crisp not greasy. Eggs cooked to specifications even poached. Casual pay before and choose to seat inside or out. Great View and not a long wait like the Cottage. Hot pots reasonable healthy alternative, if you enjoy your meals hot throughout. I enjoyed this breakfast more than the cottage greasy offerings. Food served pretty quick, Beef hot pot also had clams and mussels which made for a tasty broth and classic shirataki mushrooms.”
“I would argue that this is one of the best coffee shops in California.I stopped in for a bite to eat and then I left with a loaf of bread. Let me tell you, this place just became my next addiction. The jam and butter biscuit was from heaven itself. They serve OLIPOP which is my FAVORITE drink to find at a coffee shop when I don’t want any more caffeine.I can’t wait to stop in again for more treats! For more reviews follow me here on google or on instagram @audrey.pulliam”
“The Royal Hawaiian has a special place in our hearts. We started going here shortly after the big reopening and one day decided that the Royal Hawaiian would be the perfect place to host our wedding dinner. So we did!The manager Jen was wonderful from the start! She helped us plan our dinner and made us feel at home. The staff were very accommodating and went out of their way for our special night. Our guests loved their dinner and enjoyed the fine crafted tiki cocktails. The Royal Hawaiian also had a Hawaiian style acoustic band performing during our dinner which offered fun entertainment. We are very grateful and thankful that the Royal Hawaiian made our night a perfect memory!I highly recommend this place, especially for group celebrations. Great atmosphere and beach vibes. There are also plenty of gorgeous hotels and airBnBs in the area to make it a fun weekend. Aloha!”
“This is basically a takeout restaurant and the food is supposedly authentic Vietnamese so we'll see about that! The kids who work here are very nice and helpful and know about gluten-free and they have a lot of interesting gluten-free items on their menu! I ordered the pho noodle soup with tofu, tofu, mushrooms, and a veggie broth. I also ordered the pork belly lollipops for the boyfriend I'll let you know how it is later after I bring it home and devour it”
“Go to school right down the road from LBBC so I cruise in oftenGood food, good drinks and a good atmosphere!Maddie, Julie and Lauren are great, along with the rest of the crew!”
“We went here for dinner. It’s a laid back beach town atmosphere; a little loud but that’s to be expected in a beach town. It was peak rush hour and service was a little slow which we knew would happen. The food was very good. We had coconut shrimp, wagyu burger, mushroom and truffle pizza. All items were delicious. Reservation highly recommended, especially on weekends.”
“Real Mexican food for real people.Very reasonable prices for food and drinks. There's a nice patio to relax and get some sun while you eat if you'd like. I love the Laguna Burrito with a cold beer or Michelada‼️‼️‼️”
“A great selection of coffees and other drinks. The food was good. Everyone in our large party was happy with their meal.Lots of large tables and outdoor seating. Good place for a group.”
“Food is fantastic, we had the chorizo omelette and swedish pancakes with seasonal fruit. Chorizo is seasoned with such delicious flavor and the fruit is so sweet. They also allow dogs which is great!”
“Great food and selection. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. If you're trying to go on the weekend, make sure and make a reservation. My only complaint is the noise level.”
“We had a dinner party for 12 to celebrate a birthday. Roux created a custom menu for us. They were ready when we arrived and the table was set beautifully. The wait-staff was courteous and prompt. The food was just amazing- from the appetizers to the entrees; everything was excellent. The cook even made a point of saying Hello. We will definitely be back!”
“Such a fun atmosphere and excellent food! Our server Gabriel was friendly and helpful. He recommended the chile relleno and the Branzino and both were uniquely delicious. We also ordered the octopus ceviche for an appetizer and it was tender with incredible flavor. We also shared their homemade soft serve ice cream which was the best I’ve had. We shared this between 4 people and it was plenty of food. We are full, happy, and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend if you want a great meal in a beautiful place!”

“GG’s Bistro is a rare find: excellent food in a tourist town. I went today and loved it! If you’re willing to walk just a block up from the tourist traps, GG’s offers a clean and spacious new outdoor patio, as well as a nicely decorated indoor dining room. Service is very pleasant. They offered me a taste of Turkish Raki, and gave me good advice over all.I recommend the Meze Platter. And I loved the blackened salmon sandwich, which I ordered today for lunch.Parking: There is ample parking in the paid public parking lot behind the establishment.”
“Maile (Mai - Lee) attended me and a friend when we went to buy lunch togo and she was really nice and took care of us.Bought a Coyote Burger $17+ tax comes with fries. Delicious.”
“This is one of the hidden gems in Laguna Beach. The location in Aliso Canyon is beautiful, it overlooks the first hole of the golf course and the steep canyon walls. The food is a little pricey but always excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive. The deck is our favorite spot to eat if the temperature is warm. The atmosphere for inside dining is very nice too. They have live music every day on the patio outside the front entrance.Parking: Free valet parking”
“The burger and ahi tacos were delicious! The view and atmosphere are wonderful. The only issue was the desert. We got the donuts and ice cream. They were just alright. When the waiter asked how they were we said so so and he just kind of shrugged and said oh. No apologies or offer to give us something different.”

“This is my second visit, they have a nice selection of hot dogs, sandwiches and snacks. The Chicago Dog was hot, fresh and flavorful. All of the ingredients were fresh. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun. They have a good selection of arcade games. The prices make it one of the most affordable places to get a meal in Laguna Beach. I will be back to try a different hot dog soon!Vegetarian options: They have a Vegan option for their hot dogs.”
“It's a nice tiny donut shop on pch across from the ocean. It's a very simple menu with nothing real cream filled. I like to go with my wife to get cronuts and eclairs, then we go down to Aliso Beach a few blocks away to eat them sitting on the benches and watching waves.”
“Amazing service!! Super friendly and personable. I'm from WA State, so I'm picky, but this coffee was delicious! And I love a good drive through spot. Definitely recommend!!”
“One of the best coffee shops in OC! Lovely interior design and vibe! The drinks are delicious and creative, (I can't wait to try out their Iced Thai Pumpkin Spice on a future fall visit ). I highly recommend blkdotcoffee!”
“Went here as it was close walking distance from our hotel. It's not much to look at but it is clean and the service is very friendly. The food, however, was OUTSTANDING. The mongolian beef was th best I've tasted and I kept thinking about it over the rest of the weekend. I would have had it for breakfast the next morning if the restaurant were open. Not fancy but a great choice if you want excellent food.”
“The best thing I have ever ordered here is the Mexican Cobb Salad with CHIPOTLE RANCH. It is the BEST huge salad you could ever eat. I love the fried onions they add and the fresh guac and lettuce and pico de gallo and the price!! Omg I can’t say enough how much I love this salad and the dressing is just out of this world.”
“Beautiful Italian menu with lots of variety. No beach view but still close to the shore. Service was really nice... polite, engaging, attentive. We had the meatball sandwich, three pizzas, the bread, chicken parmesan and the ravioli. Everyone enjoyed their meals, although there was agreement that the food was just slightly under seasoned. Great spot for a quick lunch. The favorite was the chicken parmesan.”
“A quaint macaroon shop, right on the California 1 Highway in Laguna Beach. After 24 macaroon varieties, all of them are gluten free with many dairy free. Each bite explodes with flavor, but is a perfect balance of sweet flavor and soft texture. As a coffee fanatic, the Colombian coffee macaron definitely hit my taste buds. Friendly staff and a warm-hearted atmosphere as you enter.Street parking is extremely limited in the area, so you may have to find a paid parking lot and take the walk to reach this macaroon and candy shop.”
“If you’re going anywhere other than here for Taco Tuesday you are doing it wrong. They have the BEST tacos! Super simple menu, super authentic, and only $1.99 on Tuesday! They are always so friendly and SO efficient! We drive 30-40 min to come here and it’s worth it every time!”
“Delicious food, fresh ingredients and options for allergiesIf gluten free (gf) the corn tortillas and tortilla chips are not safe due to cross contamination. “There aren’t words to describe how amazing the food is at this place. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had hands down. I loved Laguna Beach, and would like to return some day. But I loved The Taco Stand more, and WILL return to Laguna Beach again for another amazing burrito. And make sure you try their habanero sauce. It’s not too hot, but hot enough, and very favorable. Can’t wait to return!”
“When you need a hearty start to the day and a standard breakfast menu, diners are typically the best option. Ruby's has good service, good food and we didn't have to wait too long for our meal on the day we were there. I had a veggie omelet, and he had corned beef and hash. Both were good.”
“Just went here for the second time and it may be the best Mexican food I've ever had! My wife and I were visiting California from Oregon and this was our first stop after the airport! Great food and friendly staff!”
“Surprise 50th birthday party for our son-in-law. Great food. Great service. The staff were all so kind even when we sometimes got in their way! Fabulous venue for the 50+ or people in our party.”

“Wahoos closed near me but when I am in Orange County I always try to stop by to get their fish tacos! Not many places sell fish tacos anymore and definitely not in the variety of ways that Wahoo does (in a salad, fried, grilled) nor with the quality of fish that Wahoo does (they use a Wahoo fish). The owner is Chinese so there are also subtle Asian influences that Wahoo brings to certain menu items. Hope that Wahoo opens up more locations in LA County again!”
“I know many people will disagree with my 5-star rating, however, I have major (ie: fatal) food allergies & am limited to what I can consume outside while on the go. I’ve NEVER had an issue or allergic reaction with eating at this establishment & will continue to patronage it.”

Cheap Eats
“Grab a coffee and sit outside under the string lights. Small details like fresh flowers on the tables add to the pleasantness of grabbing a (fantastic!!) coffee here. Coffee is notably a cut above. You can tell they know their stuff!”
“Pastrami on a cheeseburger? Of course, yes! Lol This little place on the PCH in Malibu is preparing some unusual, but super tasty bites Walk up window, but outside tables. Would definitely recommend if you want something solid, without the fuss of dining in”
“Constantly great street tacos for years. Window on the sidewalk to order and pickup (online ordering too). Eat at the picnic tables or go to the beach. Probably the rest of the food is also good, but why eat anything else when you can eat perfect tacos?”
“We walked in and got seated immediately. We enjoyed all our food. The calamari was notably crispy and light and perfectly salted. The Gu Fries was cheesey and had a complimenting soy glaze the complimented the saltiness of our ramens. The service was unhurried and efficient. The vibe of the space was consistent with the theme. I tried their mandarin sorbet and it was disappointing but still a good pallet cleanser. We really enjoyed our dinner there. This continues to be our annual stop in Laguna for a late ramen.”
“Best vegan pizza in town. The store is right across the street from the Montage and Treasure Island park, the ideal location to eat pizza and watch the amazing sunsets. Wine and beer are also sold. Ample salads are also offerred along with some other warm dishes (eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti, etc.). Hungry for breakfast? You may want to save yourself some money and go eat here as they offer some breakfast items, including avocado toast and egg sandwiches.Vegetarian options: The Berkeley Vegan pizza is to die for.”
“Jan's açaí bowl..SO good! One of the best I've had and huge! Will definitely get this bowl again. Great service too. Ordered mine online and it was ready when I got there. 15 minutes later. Cute place inside too!”
“Great food in Laguna Beach. A good healthy option and the burrito was really filling. The daily specials were good value. Seating is all outside so weather dependent. Lots of people there for takeout. Good option for healthier food especially on a sunny ”
“Top quality, and delicious preparation. The fish here is incredibly fresh, among the best I've had these years. You can discern the quality in their tuna especially.”
“Love this spot! Great food and ambiance. Service is good too! Their hummus and salads are amazing. The location is great- pleasant spot for sure! You won't regret it! Coffee or tea is a must :)”
“Tight quarters at check out. It's like playing bumper cars to pay and leave. But, well stocked outlet including a sandwich deli. Stopping here is a must whenever we are in Laguna Beach.”
“This place has been a beloved morning stop for decades. I moved away but visit several times a year. This morning I experienced extremely rude and unfriendly service. I strongly suggest they learn to appreciate their costumers and spread a little more kindness around. Everyone has challenges and a story to tell, no excuse for such rude treatment of costumers. I’ll still return, but will have much lower expectations regarding service.”
“Pizza was goodAllergy riskThe gluten free pizza is made in the same oven as regular pizza. They call it gluten friendly. It's also hit or miss if they have the gluten free crusts. If you order online check your cart closely at checkout, if something is unavailable it will auto cancel out even if you added it. You might think you ordered it but you really didn't. They won't charge you, but you won't get it.All the pizzas are basically large personal pizzas.”
“Very good, nice atmosphere and great service. Pretty good selection of beers on tap and lots of other options too. Restrooms are clean. Not too loud and not too quiet, while also having good location in regards to the beach. Good time had been had here and will be had here.Vegetarian options: There's probably a salad or something given it's in Laguna.Dietary restrictions: I can't say, I didn't order any food.Parking: Limited, especially during busy hours.Kid-friendliness: It's a bar. Don't bring them in.Wheelchair accessibility: There are ramps inside the place.”
“Love going in during the week to grab a drink when Fernando is working or Christian on Sundays. Super funny, super chill guys to hang out with. Definitely a divey spot but it has been around for years and is a family owned business. Never a dull moment at the dirty bird. Definitely stop by if you're in Laguna beach!!”
“Fantastic. San Diego native and I know good mexican food. This place exceeded all expectations. Drinks are great as well. I will be back! Large group and they took fantatic care of us.”

“It was advertised as a vegan place but had poor vegan/ vegetarian choices. The wine choices were OK.It was an OK place. The ambience was fairly OK. Service was also OK.If you lived in Laguna, it is OK. But nothing spectacular about this ”
“Pretty and cute spot. The hostesses are very sweet. The English muffin was burnt and the Hollandaise sauce was barely there. Service is okay. A little pushy on time. I ordered a meal, and was given the check half an hour after it arrived. There’s a 90 minute allotment. Make what you will of that!”
“Had the best soft serve yogurt! Fresh and plentiful on a delicious chocolate dipped waffle cone. Service was excellent. Employees were happy and paid careful attention to our varied requests. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Las Brisas is great! Food was delish and Gabriel is one of the best waiters I've ever had! He was friendly, built a rapport with us, and suggested his favorite dishes. Thank you Gabriel!”
“As usual, we had a wonderful lunch. The food and service were outstanding. The only thing that would have improved our visit would have been being offered extra pillows (for behind our backs) while sitting on ‘the couch.' I was told that the restaurant didn't have any, so adding those would be a huge plus for parties being seated there.”
“First day of a business trip and decided to head out to Laguna Beach for dinner and a sunset. The food here was extremely good and well prepared. The oysters were ridiculously good and meaty, especially compared to what I get in the Midwest. Steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly as well. Stefani took great care of me at the bar. I'll for sure come back next time I'm in town.”
“Mozambique in Laguna Beach provides a truly delightful dining experience that goes beyond just good food. The menu is infused with flavorful dishes, each presented beautifully, making every bite a delight. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a special night out. What really set our visit apart was the service provided by our server, Greg. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and professional service were outstanding and truly deserving of a five-star rating. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a beautiful setting.”
“If in the mood for Italian this can be a great option for downtown Laguna dining. We started with the heirloom and burrata salad which had huge slices of yellow/red heirloom tomatoes accompanied by small dollops of burrata cheese, topped with a good amount of cracked pepper and other herbs. Although the tomato slices could have been thicker (they were sliced crazy thin) it was still a very good start. For dinner we had the "healthy salmon" pasta as well as the pest conchiglie with shrimp. Pasta was very well cooked and tasted scratch made. Both the salmon and shrimp were also excellent. Only comment we had was that it was slightly over sauced for our own tastes.Although very much a wine place, they had a full bar and drinks were tasty.Ambience was quite nice although I get the sense it can feel cramped if the restaurant was full but that's normal for all the places in Laguna.Overall definitely would recommend going to this place if you're in the mood for Italian. Looking forward to going again to try other dishes!”
“From the bar to the Sunday band this place has become such a sentimental spot for me. Shane the bartender is awesome, super sweet and great at his craft. Definitely have come back multiple times for him and the overall atmosphere.”

“They always make a great cup of coffee. I got the honey vanilla latte and my partner got a gran caffe cappuccino. They were delicious. We did have to wait a few minutes for our order because they were pretty busy but it was worth the wait. We also split a slice of berries and cream cake. It was good and not overly sweet.”
“The coffee is so good! Even their decaf was incredible, good decaf is difficult to find so this was a win for sure! The baristas definitely know what they’re doing. No burnt drinks and the shots were pulled perfectly!”
“Best place ever! Not just the location. The food! The service! We made the trip from Arizona and we want to come back just because we had such a great time and the view was amazing and the lady who waited on us was incredible! My memory isn't that great and I cannot remember her name!”
“When you need a hearty start to the day and a standard breakfast menu, diners are typically the best option. Ruby's has good service, good food and we didn't have to wait too long for our meal on the day we were there. I had a veggie omelet, and he had corned beef and hash. Both were good.”
