“Found this gem of a restaurant today. Meant to go to the Mexican place next door but they were not open. It's like you're stepping back into time, including the prices! Nostalgic, old school American Fare. The pancakes looked really good but we were there for lunch. Fast and efficient service. One star off because they do charge 4% for credit cards. This should just be built into the price of the food. Also they charge $1 for ranch which I was not told about. Otherwise it is a great find!“
“In 2020 we were going to use Jimmy for our wedding. COVID came along and we had to change plans. Jimmy worked with us without a deposit and when we had to cancel was very compassionate. We remembered this and were finally able to pay him back when we hired him to catered our daughters first birthday party. Jimmy and his staff did an excellent job and we received great reviews from our guests.“
“I placed a catering order from here and everything was amazing !! We ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, cajun pasta, chicken parm, lasagna, penne a la vodka, and south of the border salad. 10/10 for every single dish! So much flavor and everything tasted fresh and homemade. Definitely coming back and trying the rest of the menu. One of the workers (may have been the owner) who dropped off my catering was incredibly kind and you can tell its a small mom and pop restaurant with lots of love. I 100% recommend trying place out!“

The place is nothing fancy but always reliably solid, chill atmosphere, and staffed by nice folks. Been coming to various locations with the family for decades. Chef Joe stood out - I was impressed by how personable, kind and attentive Chef Joe was, I immediately felt at ease. His food was impeccable, he is incredibly professional, SO talented and kind. “What a great find! Chef John recently catered our 80-person wedding - providing appetizers, main courses (buffet style w/ a carving station), and our dessert (a cake / croquembouche combo). Chef John is a seasoned pro and made choosing our menu a breeze. Everything was absolutely delicious, and our guests gave us tons of compliments on the overall experience. Our dessert was the ultimate show stopper - a combination of a traditional American wedding cake and a French pièce montée (croquembouche). We're so fortunate to have found Chef John and had the opportunity to work with him to make this day special. The price was also outstanding given what a traditional catering company would charge, whereas our food was far more elevated and tasted anything like a wedding buffet. Where did you get it?”That’s what you want to hear when you host an event and it’s what I heard all night long and for days after.I have been a fan and patron of Taste for a long time, but it had been a good few years since I’d used them for an event because I just haven’t hosted big events since pre-pandemic.I was a little nervous about how things might have changed over the years, but I’m happy to report that they were just as good as they were and maybe better!I placed my order over the phone and picked up on the day of the event. Everything was packaged neatly and securely with everything I needed for serving including tongs, serving spoons, plates, napkins and utensils. I probably ordered too much, but my guests were happy to grab baggies to take food home!So, the food. So fresh and so delicious! I did an Italian buffet by choosing two salads, two pastas and two chicken dishes. The dishes were flavorful, held up well over the course of the event and complemented each other well.Salads: Caesar and spinach/Strawberry FetaPastas: Angel Hair Margarite and creamy pesto penneProtein: chicken Marsala and chicken piccataFor appetizers I ordered a veggie tray and some puff pastry bites.I spent about $20/pp and there was plenty of food. (A great deal in my mind for the quality and variety especially given what others are quoting.)Thank you for helping make our event a huge success!“
