“I am a huge fan of Republic of Tea. First, their tagless tea bags keep very well in the plastic free containers they come in (take that boxed Celestial) - they don't lose their potency quickly and at about 25 cents a tea bag (50 bags at $12 a can or so) it is extremely economical to make your own iced tea at home. I'm able to buy their cans in store, or (as I've been doing lately) direct from their website. Shipping turnaround time is a bit on the long side, however it comes packed like a tank and I love that I can re-use the tea containers for other types of teas from smaller companies (like Classy Hippie). All in all, I'm a big fan of the volume of selections on their page and they're very easy to order from. In fact, I think I'm going to buy a few more cans right now!“

“If you're an espresso coffee lover this is your place in Marin. Equator in Larkspur is the only spot to get a good quality cup of espresso based coffee in Central or North Marin (and frankly southern Marin's only decent coffee is their sister shop at surf shop at tam junction). They use great beans and they know how to make espresso drinks really well - a rarity in many places these days. These folks are consistent. Their cappuccinos have a rich and smooth taste, a the right temp, the right size and done well. Its also in a nice setting with outside seating. They have a really good frittata sandwich and some good pastries and I kinda like that their food menu isn't extensive. They stick to their specialty - COFFEE.“

“After an afternoon of hiking in Marin, my youngest daughter was enraged, so I decided to calm her down with coffee and pastries. It worked.We stumbled onto Emporio Rulli and I really wanted to love this place but something felt off. The food was very good and the service was stellar but the store was so empty that it felt strange to be virtually the only people there. Eventually, a few others stopped in but with the amount of pastries and cakes prepared, it appeared they were all ready for business and the customers didn’t come in that day.I look forward to coming back sometime soon as places like this really need local support. “It's been said that when you die and go to heaven it will be better than you could have ever imagined. That's how I feel about Empirio Rulli. It's got a beautiful ambiance with pastries that rival any I've had anywhere. The Custard Bombolini was so good with delicious custard like I've never had. My cappuccino was excellent. This is a must visit kind of place.“

“Quality smoothies but on the pricier side. I often think of this place whenever I'm in Marin and always have a thought to stop by to grab my beloved Matcha Goddess. I wish they had a location in the city or East Bay. I would pick this place over Jamba Juice any day though my wallet probably is happier this place is a bit more out of reach.“
