“Food was very good. Beautiful presentation. Our first time there, didn't know that they don't accept Visa. Luckily I had friends with cash. Can't eat there, take out only. Everything is fresh so had to wait a little since we didn't order online. Are definitely going back!“

“Service is always attentive. They are usually busy, to-go orders seem to be popular. Our favorite rolls are the Modesto (great flavors, fresh and spicy), OMG (fresh and tasty) and Honey Walnut (sweet and savory). It's our favorite sushi place. Large parking lot. They have one TV. Two Bathrooms.“

“Absolutely love their crab puffs and tempura shrimp. They gave me a free chicken egg roll for having to wait a little bit last time and it was delicious too. Btw the wait was all of like 4 minutes, I was the only one in there at the time so I think maybe they thought it was slow but I didn't feel that way at all.“

“This place never disappoints. Always great service, fresh food and great bar drinks. For appetizers we ordered the Hos Bee Chicken wings and Gyoza. For rolls we had the flaming Scallops, spicy crunchy Scallops and crunch Monkey rolls. All great but my all time favorite from here is the Pepperfin. Parking tips: If you park in the parking garage they will validate your ticket. Plenty of handicap parking on the street. Enjoy!“

“The sushi was an 8/10. Rolls fell apart and weren't rolled tight enough but were tasty. Miso ramen was pretty basic. The spring rolls were too mushy on the inside. But the service and quickness of the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the veggie rice with tofu ($2.00 extra charge).“

“Excellent food. Definitely order the bento box. It is a must when coming here. They have a wide selection of food items ranging from sushi and sashimi to bento and ramen. The waiter would occasionaly check up on us to ensure we had a satisfactory experience. The dim lighting with focused lighting at each table definitely adds a gentle feeling to the atmosphere. Overall I can't find a reason to NOT recommend this location to everyone I know. 10/10 would recommend“

“This is a normal place where you can go with your kids. Prices are fair, and the sushi and food are very good, compared with other sushi restaurants from this area. So far, it has been a good one.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, California rolls were the favorite of Mt children, also with chicken teriyaki. It was delicious!“
“Yummy sushi is a wonderful restaurant. When they first opened, I thought that they were a little expensive but I gave it another chance and come to find out they had a new owner and they had dropped the prices. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed my meal. Since then I've been there several times and each time it does not disappoint. My favorite is sashimi and I love the salad and the unique flavor of the dressing. I hope everyone will give yummy sushi a try and I'm sure you'll go back time and time again.“

“I like this place out of the various Chinese restaurants we tried here. Just wish for consistency on flavoring. Overall the food is good. Maybe the ppl cooking need to taste the food prepared, to make sure there's enough flovoring In their food. I am guilty of not enough flavoring myself.“

“If you pass through Lathrop, California on Interstate 5, I recommend stopping at this restaurant for sushi and sashimi and other Japanese dishes. The Hamachi (yellowtail) and otoro (tuna belly) were excellent. The sashimi was accompanied by fresh wasabi - loved it. Enjoyed the soft shelled crab, flying fish roe, and uni (sea urchin), too. Fresh uni from Santa Barbara. The shrimp and vegetable tempura were lightly breaded, hot, and crisp. We had two orders of shrimp tempura. The waiter John was fun to talk to. Lots of energy and lots of good recommendations. Excellent selection of beer and Sake. John recommended the Funaguchi Kikusui Sake which is un-pasteurized and undiluted. It was a perfect pairing with the sashimi. There were a few issues. The ginger slices were cut too big like the size of two of your fingers. Tables are close together. The restaurant is on the corner of a strip mall, so seating is a little tight. We wanted to chat with the owner, but he was preoccupied. The restaurant closed 20 minutes early, and they started putting chairs on top of the tables while we were still eating.“
