“My go-to place for sushi when I happen to be in LA. There are no reservations, so you typically have to wait, but for not a lot of time. They have the right match of service people to tables and their system works well. The fish is always fresh and the tip is a flat rate on the bill at 16%. It’s a pretty small place, so probably not good for groups larger than 6 or with picky eaters (this is a sushi restaurant and doesn’t have too much else). The only ding is the their app sometimes calls you for your table too early and you have to wait in the restaurant before they call you back up.“

“Great service! The lady at the register is so sweet with everyone who walks in the door. The sushi was fresh and priced reasonably. My favorite was the Tiger Roll. This place is more for takeout, they have a small seating area but no table service. Order at the register and pick up your order. I only knocked down one star for the wait time. I was told 20mins and it was more like 45mins. They seem really busy so I'd recommend to call ahead or expect to wait. Also, there is a 3.95% card fee if using a credit card so I paid with cash. I'll definitely return.“

“This is probably the most popular place to get your lunch at from students and faculty at El Camino College. Every meeting I'm at around lunch time I see someone eating from Mr. H. I really love their spamasubi and their miso soup. It reminds me of my high school days when people would sell spamasubi from their backpacks. The place has a few tables and chairs to sit on if you are looking to dine in or wait for your food. Cool thing about their service too is they have a buzzer for when your food is ready. Sometimes it takes a little long to get the food to come out but it's always hot and ready to eat when they do.“

I had the top secret roll (which didn't sit well with my stomach and didn't love how the white fish tasted which is why 4 stars) and the Mega Omega roll which I loved (5 stars). For Christmas, we ordered a California platter at their location in Torrance on 190th St. Glad they're ipen on Christmas day 2022. The place looks rundown and dark and not appealing but the service was good and everyone was friendly. Placing an order was easy and our order was ready for pick up upon our arrival. They are in the same plaza as Walmart close to Starbucks. Lots of parking available. The California platter comes with California rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and salmon rolls. Everyone loved it and everything was fresh. They also give you the wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, little bowls for your sushi dipping. All was great and it was the hit at our party.
