They were able to chop everything up for me so I would have very minimal chewing. I'm glad I decided to try this place out for the first time. I missed eating delicious food. “This place is SOOOO good! Everything is so full of flavor, and you can tell it's made with love. The carnitas tacos are phenomenal. Savory, citrusy, with just the right kick, they are so delicious. But honestly, everything is so good.. The nachos are fried fresh with fresh tortillas made in the morning, the guacamole is hand-made and thick with just the right seasoning, and all of the proteins are perfectly marinated and made with care. And the staff and owners are the coolest people. Friendly, down-to-earth, and they all put their heart and soul into this place. We'll definitely be back!“

“I got the 2 tacos and beer for 6$deal. Fresh Ingredients and a superb flavor. been coming to this establishment for 10+ years. The food is always delicious no matter what you order. The carna asade is so juicy and flavorfull with that green salsa. I always enjoyed the carnitas here. I brought my mom here as well may do it again on friday!“

“Chanclazo tacos are tortillas smothered in melted cheese with a mole-style sauce on top. Filling portions wrapped in a tortilla gooey with cheesy goodness. The rajas and soyrizo tacos are amazing. I will note that it seemed like they were training new staff when I went so it required some patience but the execution was perfect so the time it took was worth the wait. If you’re thirsty the agua frescas are huge and generous, I got the mango and it was great. The pepino agua fresca looked super fresh and tasty too.“

“Fantastic hidden gem! Located in north long beach, this authentic Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. They have plenty of nostalgic dishes that you may remember a loved cooking for you. They have soups, tacos, and special dishes such as costillitas con nopales. I was left very much happily satisfied. Parking is a nightmare, they have a small lot. It is a mom and pop shop, so please keep that in mind when you arrive. Seating is extremely limited, but they have a couple chairs out front to ensure you're taken care of. Please tip if you can as I'm positive a place like this is not common anymore these days. The ladies who serve and take orders have the most cute uniforms and friendliest of service. Anything upon request!!! Please ask before you do. They have a specific seating order and will be happy to accommodate when you ask! Oh they do serve alcohol, beers and margaritas 😬“

“Always excellent food, margaritas, and prices. I am still sad they got rid of the “Mexican pizza” from the kids menu last year, it was one of the only things my son with autism would consistently eat while dining out. But they still have great dishes overall- shrimp tacos are the best!“

“The food is good and the staff is friendly. However they need to be trained to operate the cash register better. I bought a $11 burrito and was charged $3.28 cents tax. The tax should have been around $1.10. Maybe the added $2.18 was added gratuity.“

“We were grounded and had to spend a few more hours at LGB. Brian made the wait enjoyable (at the bar next to Taco Beach). We had some eats and a few cocktails. Food was good. 2 Smoked Brisket tacos which were maxed out portion wise, Rice, beans, chips and an Horchata to wash it all down for under 10 bucks…

Can’t beat a deal like that with a stick even if you wanted to! Not to mention the tacos were great, the Brisket was tender and very flavorful. Staff were very friendly as well.

“As far as authentic Mexican food goes, you won’t find better. Some of the items we really love are, any of their soups, carnitas, birria tacos are some of the best I have ever had. For breakfast the chilaquiles or this yummy deep fried crusted French toast. Don’t forget to try an aqua Fresca they are made fresh daily. They also do a great job at catering. Their taco bar set up is fancy enough to have it at wedding.“

“I ordered the sopes with asada, and they were absolutely delicious! The meat was tender and flavorful, the toppings were super fresh, and the combination of crema and cheese brought everything together perfectly. You can really tell the food is made with care and love. I’m giving it 5 stars not just because it tasted amazing, but because this place truly deserves the support. If you’re looking for authentic, tasty food, this is the spot! Go check them out and show them some love. You won’t regret it!“

“Good Mexican food shouldn't be expensive; this restaurant isn't. It's a wonderful bargain for food; quality Mexican classics. It's on Pacific Avenue in Downtown Long Beach, walking distance to the Civic Plaza, Billy Jean King Library and courthouse. The downside is that they only accept cash for payment, although there is an ATM inside. They make excellent tacos, burritos, tortas and tostadas. I haven't tried their soups yet. You can order their burritos wet or dry, same price for either, and I never finish one without taking half of it home. Tortilla chips and salsa on the table before the meals, with the salsa being a red spicy sauce. Service is excellent and attentive. Consider getting the Jarritos soft drinks instead of the fountain sodas -- they don't filter the water, so you'll taste the bleach from the tap water used.
There is parking in the back. I love this little place for authentic Mexican food; just remember to bring cash instead of a credit card.“

“Visiting from Arizona where I have great Mexican food at our favorite places. Hacienda Ruan has great Mexican food too!!! Had beef taco, cheese enchilada, rice and beans. All of these were excellent and authentic, made in the style I really like.

“Head to Leo's for the best Taco Tuesday deal in town! This place never disappoints and the service is pretty quick! (considering how busy they get for lunch)

You can choose from all the traditional options like chicken, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas for street taco style. Or try the fried potato taco to mix things up. My current favorite is the fish taco, which is served with pico, lettuce and spicy mayo. Regardless of the preference, these tacos are $1.75 on Tuesdays (and Fridays). I also grabbed an order of chips and salsa for $1. They have a fresh salsa bar with all the accoutrements including 4 different salsa varieties, limes, onions, cilantro and marinated veggies.

I have also swooped in on non-taco days for breakfast burritos which are also super delicious. I do wish this place had margaritas, but I'm not going to deduct a star for that.

“First time here, I am not mad at it. They were quick to make my food even though I ordered a torta. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming. Was recommended by my partner. This spot is clean and they have several tables inside where you can sit. Their postress and flan looks so good. Def will come back when I get some money in my pockets. Their salsa verde was 🔥“

“Winter today and got the osada burrito Asada burrito for my husband and the Asada tortillas for my daughter. Both said that they are the best that they have had in a while. The burrito was so big that my husband can't even finish it very well proportioned. I recommend this place to anybody because their food is awesome.“

“We stopped in here for a drink before we went to dinner and had been here once before. The bartender is super! He makes the absolute BEST skinny margarita I've had in a long time! The first time we went we had some nibbles and enjoyed that as well. I would recommend this place it is a small place but very charming!“
